What is this?
This is a fan dub for the new Sonic x DC crossover comic series being produced by both companies! We'll be going over every single installment in the crossover as they come out.
PaymentAs stated elsewhere on the page, this project is not paid and is entirely a passion project. I apologize, as I do not have the money to pay for voice performances right now. Please do not apply if you are expecting to be paid.
RequirementsYou must be 16 years or older.
You must have a high enough quality mic and decent enough recording set up to sound good on video.
You may submit as many applications for characters as you would like from the cast, but you will only be chosen for one.
1.) Please don't just submit impressions of the most well known voices for these characters. You can certainly be inspired by other performances, but I'm looking to hear your take specifically.
2.) Anything put in parenthesis (like this) in the lines should not be read. That is simply direction for how I want to hear the lines being said.
3.) Don't be afraid to throw in your own extra lines if you want to, specifically some of the more iconic catchphrases for these characters (ex. Silver's "It's no use" line from Sonic 06). Anything that helps me get a better vibe of your performance is more than welcome.
4.) Finally, please be aware that this is my first time directing and editing such a big project. While I will be trying to make it as professional as possible, it isn't going to be perfect.

The deadline is over! Thank you to everyone who’s submitted. I’ll be taking this next week to make my choices and will be contacting the ones who are chosen once I’ve come to a decision on every other part. This page will stay up for the future, in case more roles are needed.

Sonic the Hedgehog is freedom-incarnate and should sound easygoing and carefree, but also fast-talking and cocky. He’s the fastest thing alive and he will make sure everybody knows it as he can be kind of annoying at times. But when things get serious, Sonic can turn off the cocky attitude to lock in and help his friends and his planet.
"It’s just going to be one of those days, huh? I’m going on ahead!" (tired and annoyed)
“Oh hey, we’re all here. Anyone care to bring us up to speed? Especially for Flash since he’s so slow.” (cocky and playful)
“What you see is what you get! I’m just a hedgehog who loves adventure!” (happy, straining a bit since he’s running)
That typical “edgy” voice, but taken seriously. Dark and brooding, sounds like he’s never smiled a day in his life. Shadow should be tired of everyone around him. Shadow is a hero at heart despite his ruthless nature and will let nothing stop him from saving the day, including his own allies.
“I don’t have time for this.” (annoyed)
“...her name was Maria. She was gunned down by the military while trying to keep me safe. Me. The Ultimate Life Form.” (somber)
“This is the end of you, and the end of my cursed past!” (angry)
Loud and aggressive, yet also introspective and quiet. A warrior at heart molded into a hero through his circumstances. Knuckles should be able to sound stalwart, calm, and collected one moment and then passionate, angry, and aggressive the next.
“You’re done! That’s right, run!” (angry and combative)
“That was for dropping my island out of the sky!” (annoyed and angry)
“Enough with the pleasantries. Who’s responsible for this, and when do we make him pay?” (impatient)
Amy is basically the mother figure of Sonic’s group and she should sound accordingly. Stern, confident, calm, yet also kind, loving, and caring. She can brighten a room just by talking.
“Thanks for the save! Go low, Tails!” (distressed)
“I know that people fight over the most trivial things. Some people may be selfish, like the professor said…but they’re basically good, if they try their best and never give up on their wishes!” (consoling and caring)
“I'm not just a damsel in distress anymore! Just you watch. Eventually, you'll be the one relying on me for help!” (confidently)
Tails should be able to sound very intelligent and well-informed, despite still also sounding young and plucky. He’s the youngest member of the main cast, and he has moments of being shy and awkward, but he should still sound like a capable hero.
“We have lots of experience tracking down the emeralds, but not under such a tight deadline. I’ve been developing a tracking system in my lab.” (matter of factly)
“Well, it’s a speculative quantum-mapping algorithm. But, it isn’t out of beta yet.” (slightly embarrassed and bashful)
“Maybe once this is all over we can trade specs. I’ve got an arm cannon I’ve been tinkering with for a while.” (excited and hopeful)
Total absolute dork. Silver is a young man trying to play hero despite having no idea what he was doing when starting out. Remember that he is still from a broken and destroyed future, so he is constantly haunted by his past. He tries to keep a positive attitude through it all.
“That’s so cool! It’s like mind-over-matter, but better!” (amazed)
“How do you know if you’re working hard enough? I don’t want to waste my time here, but I’m also supposed to enjoy what I’ve got.” (somber)
"Every other time I've been sent to the past, it's been to save the future from turning into another wrecked world. That's my job. My purpose. And I always know what I need to do because it's history! But this time... Nothing. There's no crisis in my future, and things are okay here. Everything's fine, but... I'm not." (introspective)
The heart of the Justice League, Flash is confident and a bit overzealous. He knows he’s good at what he does and is basically untouchable by most, so he approaches most things with a carefree and goofy attitude. Can still become very serious when the moment calls for it.
“Sorry! Guess you’re one of the locals, huh? Hang back! I’ll handle the Parademons.” (casually)
“Listen kid, I’m the Flash. I’m ‘speed’ personified!” (cocky)
“Hey, the bad guys went down, and nobody got hurt. You know what I call that? A really good day.” (happy and content)
PLEASE DO NOT DO A CHRISTIAN BALE IMPRESSION. Batman is the cold, calculated, seemingly emotionless strategist of the League. He should sound like he’s constantly planning out how to handle the situation in his head, even during moments of downtime. He does have a softer side however, and is willing to let his emotions seep through when need be.
“For me, it was my parents. I was too young, too weak to do anything. That pain, that anger, never leaves you. I see it in you too.” (somber)
“You’re a valuable asset in stopping Darkseid. Likewise, we’d be valuable to you.” (matter of factly)
“I am vengeance, I am the night. I am Batman!” (aggressively)
Superman is the living definition of a boy scout. He should sound confident, heroic, and powerful: your typical superhero voice. But, he should also be able to sound somber and approachable. Superman is the type of guy who you can talk to whenever and wherever and always have the time and desire to. He should always sound ready to help.
“I’m sorry I couldn’t do more.” (somber and regretful)
“We’re the Justice League, heroes from another dimension. I’m Superman. Protector of truth, justice, and a better tomorrow.” (casually with a hint of pride)
“Maybe. But, I cherish my life on Earth. It makes it all the more important I keep it safe.” (hopeful and nostalgic)
(Accent is not required) Wonder Woman above all else should sound powerful. She’s the warrior princess of the Amazons and is a goddess in her own right. Her voice should ooze strength, yet also be able to be soft and mellow enough to sound kind and almost motherly.
“We’ve stopped his ambitions in the past. Now he’s launched a mobile satellite called the Ragna Rock that can cross dimensions. Our guess is he’s seeking worlds and powers outside the normal scope of our multiverse to fuel his conquests.” (matter of factly)
“I agree. Let’s begin searching while Cyborg and Tails work on the detector. The League can stay in touch with our usual comms.” (confidently)
“There’s something to be said for piloting. I love flying in my invisible jet, too.” (peaceful)
Cyborg is insanely intelligent, being able to say complex sentences and concepts as if he knows exactly what he’s talking about at all times. He should be able to have moments where he can geek out and act like a bit of a dork however, underlying his cool and confident attitude.
“Booyah.” (cocky and confident)
“To find your world, Darkseid had to cast a wide net. I have some of his tech integrated into my systems, so I picked up on his search.” (stating a fact)
“Here, if I integrate some of the motherbox software, we can reduce the variance noise and boost the global aperture.” (inquisitively, almost like he’s in the zone)
John Stewart is a smart and stern man, being a Marine before becoming an architect. He should be able to sound like he’s constantly taking charge of the situation and has everything under control. John should sound like he’s taking everything seriously, even if he’s letting himself smile or joke around. There’s never a moment where he isn’t ready to throw down.
“Pair up with the locals to focus the search. We’ll cover more ground and do it more efficiently.” (sternly)
“Just about. Just need a clear mind and the willpower to see it through.” (calmly)
“In brightest day, in blackest night. No evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil’s might, beware my power. Green Lantern’s light!” (heroically)
Darkseid is evil given form. He’s a being that exists in every known DC reality to fulfill his one goal of finding more power and learning the Anti-Life equation, something that will give him dominion over life and death itself. He is everything bad in the world and should sound accordingly. He’s booming, powerful, aggressive; yet confident in his capabilities that nobody can hope to defeat him. If that confidence is shattered in any way, he will become livid.
“Do not make me repeat myself Desaad. Once I have obtained what I seek, power will never be a concern again.” (angry and annoyed)
“It all starts with this. A gem containing the ultimate power. (confident and satisfied)
“I have liberated them from the chaos of indecision! I have given them one straight path! One clear purpose! One goal: to die for Darkseid!” (dictatorial)
