Project Overview
Hello and welcome!
My name is MrCoolimation and I have a reputation for making Sonic the Hedgehog animations! My Sonic content is actually what got me past 30K subscribers! Though, I disappeared for a while to focus on my own original projects. But recently, having gotten into 3D animation through Source Filmmaker, I've developed the desire to return to making Sonic the Hedgehog content! Though, in the past, when I would make said content, I would have to go on a hunt for voice actors to be in the newer videos. But that ends today!
This casting call is to call out to those who want to be in a long running series of mini animations featuring Sonic characters in all sorts of situations! Meaning, I'll be reaching out to you on multiple occasions for all sorts of videos. (Potentially even a deeper series with an actual multi-episode story~)
Here are some of the things to keep in mind before auditioning:
1. Please be available: Please understand, I'm overall flexible with needing time to work on voice clips for projects! But things would become complicated if voice clips end up taking weeks on end. I've got to organize audio before handling any of the animation, so having them as soon as possible would be ideal.
2. Be willing to take live direction: I believe you can get the best out of voice actors when directing them live via Discord (or whatever works!). If you're too shy or uncomfortable with doing voice clips live with me in a call, I sadly wouldn't recommend auditioning.
3. Know that this is a long running commitment: This is gonna consist of being in multiple animations on my channel. So please be willing to take part in multiple videos for what's likely going to be a long period of time.
4. Of course, have a good quality microphone: This should go without saying, but please have something that is of good quality. Nothing is more distracting than different quality mics in the same video. You all know the drill. No white noise, No peaking, crisp sounding mic, etc.
5. Let's have some fun! This is Sonic! He's a speedy, loveable, blue ball of fun. We're not gonna make this overly serious or anything like that. We're hoping to have some fun with these projects! And hopefully we can all develop a family-like relationship through these projects~
Please note that these are only the roles I'm currently seeking. I will definitely be on the lookout for voice actors for other characters in the future so please keep an eye out! For now, I'm only looking for these characters.

You all know 'em and you all love 'em! Sonic is an adventure loving free spirit! He can be a little snarky and cocky but values his friends above all. He's very impatient, as you probably guessed, being the fastest thing alive! I'm looking for something that sounds natural. Try not to put everything into doing a voice, make it sound easy. Give me something with a bit of attitude! Sonic's got the personality of a little stinker, kind of like Bugs Bunny. Lemme hear what you got!
[Sonic's stopping by, noticing the changes Tail's made to the Tornado] "Yo, Tails! Been a while! That's a new look. Didja make the Tornado faster or somethin'? Always thought it was a little slow."
[Sonic just saved his friends from an ambush Eggman just pulled while they were on a vacation.] "Smooth move, Egg-breath! You never miss an opportunity to ruin a good time, do ya?"
[Sonic's giving Tails a pep talk after a failed experiment] Hey, don't sweat it, bud. You tried your best. 'Sides, you've succeeded a lot more than you've failed. You got this!"
Sonic's best friend and everybody's favorite two-tailed fox, Tails! Tails is a genius who is incredibly tech savvy. He's also one of the only people who can keep up with Sonic with his ability to fly! Tails is a cheerful, inventive kid who looks up to Sonic like an older brother. He's got more of a level head than Sonic though. Thinking of things more rationally while Sonic speeds ahead without thought. I'm looking for something that sounds very friendly! Be bright! Normally, Tails is voiced by a female voice actor but I'm open to any male voice actors who wanna take a crack at it!
[Tails is inspecting a chaos emerald in his lab] "Ooh wow! It's been so long since I've had a chaos emerald here in my lab. The power it emits is insane!"
[Tails is zooming past Eggman's mechs in the Tornado] "Hold on, Sonic! These guys are coming from everywhere! I don't know if I can avoid them for much longer!"
[Tails is fixing up a robot while talking to Sonic] "I'm not too familiar with how Eggman builds his robots, but I can definitely figure it out. After all, there's no way Egg-face is smarter than me!"
Knuckles is one of Sonic's rivals! He's the guardian of the Master Emerald who takes his job very seriously! He's very much a hot headed guy who seriously can't stand Sonic sometimes. But he's always there when you need him! I'm looking for something with a bit of a gruff to it. Something definitely on the deeper side as opposed to the lighter, Sonic Boom-ish Knuckles. I'm looking for the type of sound that shows he means business! But can still be a very chill guy!
[Knuckles is getting heated over a snarky comment Sonic made.] "You know somethin' you little blue punk?! I could handle this without you. So why don't you just take a hike?!"
[Knuckles is running off Eggman from the Master Emerald] "The Master Emerald isn't going anywhere! You want it that badly? Then come on and try to take it from me!"
[Knuckles commends Sonic after helping him take down Eggman's megabot] "I guess you weren't terrible back there. Probably would have wrapped this up on my own but I won't complain."
Amy Rose is definitely the sweetest powerhouse you'll come to know. She's practically obsessed with Sonic. Trying to get him to go on a date or even marry her! Though, she's definitely no push over. She can hold her own against Eggman's robots with ease with her trusty hammer! She's smart and very extroverted. Never afraid to put herself out there! I'm looking for something very expressive. Be bright!
[Amy just tackled Sonic] "You have no idea how long I've been looking for you, Sonic! Now don't move. I wanna savor this moment."
[Amy's knocking around Eggman's mechs after they ruined Sonic and Amy's "date"] "Hah! Take that! How dare you ruin such a perfect date! I had everything planned out you rusty jerks!"
[Amy's inviting Tails to join her on an emerald hunt.] "C'mon Tails! We'll find this emerald in no time! Eggman won't know what hit 'em!"
The evil Doctor Eggman! All he ever has on his agenda is building his Eggman Empire. He uses his brilliance to create all sorts of robots in his pursuit of gaining total control of the world! Also, of course, he absolutely hates Sonic! I'm looking for something with a lot of grit! Try to do your own spin on the character! Give him all sorts of life! I want this Eggman to be big!
[Eggman just ambushed Sonic and his friends] "Gah ha ha ha! Thought you could slip away, you spiney little pest?! Not likely! Prepare to perish!"
[Eggman just had an epiphany on how to deal with Sonic] "That's it! Yes! It's brilliant! All I need is to get my hands on the Master Emerald and I'll be rid of that annoying hedgehog once and for all!"
[Eggman announcing over a city of helpless citizens as he looms over them in his mother ship] "If you all submit to the Eggman Empire, I won't have to do anything nasty! However, if you should choose to disobey me, I'll have no choice but to...clear the city! Ha ha ha ha!"
Everyone's favorite: Shadow the Hedgehog! Created by Eggman's grandfather with Chaos energy to be the ultimate life form. Shadow has a pretty dark past and pretty much has an anti-hero attitude on things. He follows no one. He determines his own path. But he has a heart to do the right thing. I'm looking for something deep but nothing too edgy. I know it can be tempting for Shadow but try and stick with something mellow rather than breathy or edgy.
[Shadow is telling Sonic about a potential danger ahead] "Listen hedgehog. Don't get a swelled head. If we go in there the way we are now, we're toast."
[Shadow is rejecting Eggman.] "I have no intentions of joining anyone's side, Doctor. I take orders from no one. Especially not from the likes of you. So just get out of my way!"
[Shadow is challenging Sonic] "If you think you can best me, then quit talking. Come at me! So I can shut you up for good!"
