SONIC Retold Issue 2 "Return to Order" Comic Dub
Project Overview
In honor of the first SONIC Retold dub, I decided to do a dub on the remaining issues after asking Glitcher permission.
"As you’ve probably guessed by now, this comic is a continuation of the original Sonic the Hedgehog comics before the “Worlds Collide” crossover. For a lot of you, this is a long time coming. Many readers can testify that the quality of Sonic comics has plunged narratively and (to some extent) artistically ever since the infamous reboot that wiped out most of the beloved characters inhabiting Mobius. It was an event from which the series never fully recovered, shackled by Sega’s mandates to make the story as bland and emotionally sterile as possible. To me, the final straw was the “Worlds Unite” crossover - intended purely as a marketing device in spite of a creative void. That’s when I got the idea for this story. I told myself one thing: “If I want Sonic done right, I’ll just have to do it myself!”" -Glitcher
But this is by no means a reanimated project. That's right! I am searching for voice actors, sound designers, animatics artists, and music composers for the web comic of SONIC Retold in a way Archie Sonic was meant to be experienced.

There had been an incredible response to this casting call and I feel like we need a few more weeks until the end of August to get more auditions filled (not just voice actors, but a few production crew as well). Until then, I'll proceed to start accepting the roles. -

Remington was the former Constable of the Echidna Security Team which was the main police force and military of Echidnaopolis. For most of his life, Remington was unaware of his relationship to the Dark Legion despite being the son of its former Grandmaster, Kragok. Remington often assisted the Brotherhood of Guardians in maintaining peace and order in Echidnaopolis. Upon the city's return to Mobius Prime from their pocket zone, Remington found himself often having to deal with General Von Stryker and his fellow Dingoes as well as the Dark Legion until he became part of the latter group, and started a civil war with his aunt for power. Recently, after his memories were restored, Remington was placed in charge of the reconstruction efforts in Albion and later as the leader of a new E.S.T. team to protect the Echidnas. Sadly, he lost his love at the hands of the Dark Egg Legion.
There's little to smile about these days. We may have achieved victory, but many paid the price for it.
You arrived in the nick of time. We've been sending a distress signal for days, but no one came to our aid until now... not even Knuckles.
HE DOESN'T BELONG THERE! Haven is only a tomb for a forgotten guild. You told me that the brotherhood is lost, and our last guardian is wasting his time chasing ghosts instead of protecting his own people. How can he abandon us?

He is a Mobian echidna, the second husband of Lara-Le and the stepfather of Knuckles the Echidna. He is also the father of Knecapeon "Kneecaps" Mace, Knuckles' half-brother. Wynmacher met Lara-Le during the time Knuckles was under the impression that he was the last of the Echidnas. Becoming good friends with her, he eventually fell in love with her and they married. The two have since been together through various hardships. He later became a resident of Albion, helping his family.

A rather energetic infant, he is extremely attached to his parents and fond of his brother Knuckles, whom he enjoys hitting on the head with a rattle. He was born some time during Knuckles' powerless year in Knothole, his conception having been revealed to Knuckles some time before his temporary death. Kneecaps remained with his parents as they stayed with the Dark Legion as the Angel Island resistance to Doctor Eggman's regime, then in the village built by the survivors of Echidnaopolis, followed by his transportation to the ruins of Albion, which were then rebuilt to serve as a new homeland for the echidna race (excluding those members of the Dark Legion who were appalled at the loss of their cybernetic implants.)

Shard the Metal Sonic (Call Sign Jack in the Secret Freedom Fighters), originally known as Metal Sonic, and sometimes as Mecha Sonic, is based off his organic counterpart and Robotnik's most hated enemy, Sonic the Hedgehog, and was one of the first robots in the Metal Sonic Series. Metal Sonic was pitted against Sonic and friends on numerous occasions, until he was seemingly destroyed when he chose to sacrifice himself to save Sonic and Tails. He was at some later point recovered, rebuilt, and - having gained a social conscience and sense of morality - recruited as a member of the Secret Freedom Fighters.
It's me. Status update on Team Fighters. They landed at Albion to stop the D.E.L. from taking over, and now they're grounded until the Tornado is repaired.
No, but Team Fighters can handle anything he throws at them. They even took down Titan Metal Sonic after it was infected with Krudzu!

He is a mobian hedgehog and a Knight of Kronos in-training, gifted with psychic abilities from a post-apocalyptic alternate future in the year 3437 P.X.E., two hundred years away from the Mobius Prime's timeline. Silver is driven by a mission to learn the identity of a supposed traitor among the Knothole Freedom Fighters whose actions ruined the future, and hopes to find this person in the past in order to save both that period and his own. To this end, Silver has traversed both time and space, journeying into the past of Mobius Prime as well as other worlds including Light Mobius and Dark Mobius, effecting minor changes in his own time, but ultimately unable to undo its devastation. After numerous failures, he was stranded in 3237 to solve the problem once and for all. With his solo efforts proving fruitless, Silver then joined Director Harvey Who's Secret Freedom Fighters in exchange for help in his research. After learning the culprit's correct identity, Silver's objective changed with the intent of rescuing Sally Acorn to clear up a misunderstanding.

Dr. Ivo Robotnik (also known as Dr. Eggman) started out as Robo-Robotnik V2.0, an alternate timeline version of Robotnik Prime with whom he shared much of the same history. The point where they differed was that while Robotnik Prime was destroyed by his own Ultimate Annihilator, Eggman subjected himself to Roboticization in a last-ditch effort to defeat the Freedom Fighters of his world. Though he failed, an encounter with Robotnik Prime inspired him to strike back, annihilating the House of Acorn and many other inhabitants of his world. Thus left with no enemies to destroy, he traveled to Mobius Prime to fill the void left by the demise of Robotnik Prime. He swiftly took on a new appearance and became an even more dangerous threat than his predecessor.

After her parents were murdered by her half-sister Lien-Da she was placed in the foster care of Simon and Floren-Ca before she was taken away from them as well. Serving as a support troop in the Dark Legion for years, she eventually left it to join Knuckles and his group, the Chaotix. She served as a devoted member for quite some time.

Elias Acorn (call sign "Agent King" in the Secret Freedom Fighters) was the son of Maximillian Acorn, older brother to Sally Acorn, and heir to the throne of the Kingdom of Acorn. He grew up on Angel Island out of the eye of the public, his father having assumed that he died in transit to the island, and was torn between the life he wished to lead and his duty to the crown for much of his young adulthood. He ruled over New Mobotropolis for a brief period of time, but was forced to leave the city when the kingdom was claimed by Naugus.

Nicole, or NICOLE as she was originally referred to before being recognized as more than just a program, is an artificial intelligence program that originally resided in Sally Acorn's hand-held computer, but has since gone from being a simple hand-held assistant to a loyal friend and trusted member of the Knothole Freedom Fighters. She's incredibly versatile and able to interact with and manipulate most machinery and computer systems due to her advanced technology and is capable of mental and emotional growth. Due to the latter, she has gradually become more and more lifelike in demeanor during her time interacting with the Freedom Fighters. Eventually she herself desired to "live" as they do and developed a complex holographically simulated body-based on that of a Mobian Lynx-that can be projected where resources are available. NICOLE

Geoffrey St. John was the leader of the Kingdom of Acorn's Royal Secret Service. Following the organization's destruction at the hands of Dr. Ivo Robotnik, Geoffrey reestablished it in honor of his father, Ian St. John, who was also his predecessor. Following Robotnik's military coup, he gathered the few remaining members of the old Secret Service and formed them into the Rebel Underground, an organization originally proposed to King Maximillian Acorn but never put into action. After some time working independently, his group met the Knothole Freedom Fighters, and after a number of meetings began working together with them. Geoffrey served the Kingdom and later the Republic of Acorn loyally, but eventually revealed that he recognized Ixis Naugus as the rightful monarch, having served as his apprentice for years. He ended up having his body taken over by the corrupted king when he attempted to defect from his position.

Ixis Naugus, one of the last surviving members of the Order of Ixis, was born from the fusion of three other wizards: Agunus, Nusgau, and Suguna. During his time as the Kingdom of Acorn's Royal Wizard, he helped instigate events that led to the Great War, and then fled to the Zone of Silence as a safe haven where he was trapped for years until he managed to escape after the First Robotnik War. Naugus became an immediate enemy of Sonic the Hedgehog, who eventually trapped him in the zone again until the Arachne released him once more. After being a prisoner in Dr. Eggman's Egg Grape Chambers, Naugus lost his sanity and blindly served his order's founder, Mammoth Mogul, until his mind was restored by a Chaos Emerald from his apprentice. Following this, he plotted to retake the throne from the Acorn family and succeeded through manipulating the fears of New Mobotropolis' populace, who crowned him king, only to face further difficulties.

A personal friend of King Maximillian Acorn, Horatio was appointed Royal Physician, and remained close to the House of Acorn even after Dr. Ivo Robotnik's military coup and disappearances of most of the Royal Family. During his time with the Knothole Freedom Fighters (led by Sally Acorn, whom Horatio had delivered and thus considered a favorite), Horatio served on the frontlines, until Max's return, where his time was preoccupied with taking care of him and the rest of the population of the restored Kingdom of Acorn. When all-out-war was declared between the Kingdom of Knothole and the Eggman Empire (led by the late Robotnik's alternate universe double Dr. Eggman), Horatio lost an eye in an explosion caused when he accidentally stepped on a land-mine while tending to the wounded in battle. Since then, he has given up active frontline duty and now serves as Head Doctor of New Mobotropolis's Tommy Turtle Memorial Hospital.

Dimitri was one of the oldest living Mobians, having been fused with the power of eleven Chaos Emeralds hundreds of years ago and becoming an incarnation of the functionally omnipotent being known as Enerjak. After the loss of his power, which was stolen by Mammoth Mogul, Dimitri had the majority of his body replaced with cybernetic parts, and was in control of the Dark Legion for some time; leading numerous failed schemes against Angel Island. This changed when he attempted to bridge the gap between the two Echidna societies peacefully, partly as a result of his deteriorating health. He would eventually be reduced to a cyborg head, deposed Grandmaster of both Legion and Dark Egg Legion, and repentant ally to his old adversary and distant relative, Knuckles the Echidna.
Knuckles, I understand how you feel. I, too, have been separated from many of my kin as Enerjak. It is an experience I know you are all too familiar with.
Yet all is not lost. There are other echidnas out there in the D.E.L., and they must be freed of Eggman's tyranny. That is our mission now: TO SAVE THE ECHIDNA RACE!
