DNA & Purpose: Engineered using the DNA of the alien leader Black Doom as part of Project Shadow, originally intended to help find a cure for Gerald's granddaughter, Maria Robotnik. [1, 2]
Backstory: After Maria was killed during a military raid by G.U.N. on the ARK, Shadow harbored a deep vendetta before remembering her true wish to protect humanity. [1, 2, 3]
