ABOUT THE SERIES
Sonic Action Adventures is a brand new non-profit fan series where multiple stop motion animations featuring the Sonic The Hedgehog cast do all sorts of hilarious and wacky activities. Animators can submit their stop motion animation through the official S.A.A Discord server! Every animator who gets their stop motion animation featured in an episode will be credited at the end of the episode, as well as in the description below. Think of this series as a spiritual successor to Sonic Paradox's "Sonic Shorts", and "Sonic Seconds".
So you might be wondering then, "What's the point of auditioning for this project if I can send my animations on Discord?". Good question. What you're actually auditioning for is to be part of S.A.A. Productions!
INTRODUCING: S.A.A. PRODUCTIONS
A brand new team of animators and voice actors working together to make exclusive stop motion animated shorts for the Sonic Action Adventure series! That way, there's always something new to look forward to in every episode. Members of this team will also get special benefits. These benefits include, but not limited to: getting credited first before non members, guaranteed for their animation to be featured in an episode (as long as it follows the guidelines), exclusive roles on Discord, access to exclusive channels on Discord, and being able to promote two of their social media platforms in the description of each episode (YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, etc.).
What's expected from Stop Motion Animators:
- Animations must at least be 12 frames per second. However, it's recommended to use 24 FPS instead.
- The animation's scenery and background must look somewhat creative (ie not barren).
- Animations cannot be more than 45 seconds. However, you can produce more than one short, but no more than three. (Leaving you a max of 2 minutes and 15 seconds)
- Animations must be primarily focused on the Sonic The Hedgehog series.
- Use only voices of the official voice actors (if you plan to have speaking lines in your animation).
- All stop motion animations must be SFW. (No gore, extreme blood, etc.)
- No watermarks
- Audio must sound at the very least decent.
- Consistently meeting deadlines.
What's expected from Voice Actors:
- Sound at the very least decent.
- Minimal background noise.
- Be able to sound believable (stay in character).
- You are allowed to audition for multiple characters.
- Consistently meeting deadlines.
More information
You must be 13 years or older in order to submit your animation, audition as a voice actor, and/or apply as an animator. Discord will be the main use of communication. No profits will made from this project/series and as such there are no paying roles. This is all in the name of fun. More information can be found in the official S.A.A Discord server!
