SNK Gals Battle Dub
Project Overview
Hello there! And welcome to my casting call for my SNK Gals Battle Fandub! Before we get started just what is ‘SNK’?
The SNK Corporation is a Japanese video game hardware and software company. Classic SNK franchises include Metal Slug, Samurai Showdown, and The King of Fighters – the latter is what this project is all about!
The King of Fighters is a series of fighting games by SNK, only one of which was dubbed into English.
We will be dubbing the super attacks of some of the female characters into English. Thus, shouting is a MUST! You MUST be able to shout comfortably!
All characters will have 1 script, so this is a very short project that we will hopefully have completed by the end of the year!
Now let’s get the rules ironed out! (Well I say rules, more like guidelines!)
Rule Number 1 – Mic Quality! A super expensive mic is not required! Any mic can be used so long as the recording set up is good! Please have as little background noise as possible in your recordings! Also, try not to pop or peak if you can help it! To avoid popping, be sure to use a pop filter, or pillow case works too! Or stand a little distance back from the mic! To avoid peaking, again stay a little bit back from the mic and avoid recording in an echo-y space!
Rule Number 2 – Remember your acting! I have made sure to put little inflections in brackets before each line so you have a little clue behind the emotion I am looking for!
Rule Number 3 – “Attacking”? Line 3 for each character has attacking at the start. This basically means the line must be shouted! Shouted in any old way, just so that I know you can shout! As that’s the aim of this project!
Rule Number 4 – Contacts. Please have both Discord and an email address! My preferred method is through email, but we can have a Discord group too!
Rule Number 5 – No limits! No limits on how many characters you can be cast as, and no limits to how many characters you can audition for! Audition for everyone and anyone! Oh and anyone is allowed to audition for anyone! Even if you don’t think you might fit the character, you never now! Your audition might be the one I select!
Rule Number 6 – Have fun! Now with all the boring rules out the way, do your best and have fun! Lots of energy is needed for these characters, so be sure to have fun and enjoy yourself!
And just a few little last notes.
If you are cast, I will comment on your audition with further instructions.
Roles will be cast the day after auditions close, if the roles are not cast on the day of casting, the deadline will be extended.
If you would like some feedback, please send me a direct message and I will give some feedback, I can’t show favourites before I cast!
The initial deadline will be 2 weeks to get lines to me once they are sent out. I’m happy to give out any extensions needed, but within reason! (there won’t be any 10 week extensions or anything!)

Casting Round 2
Tomorrow the second round of casting will take place! Multicasting will also be a thing! Any roles not cast will most likely be cast off site - but the deadline will once again be extended. -

Casting Round 1
Hello! I want to first of all start of with saying thank you for all the auditions so far! Although not every character has received auditions, I will still begin casting for the roles that have auditions as I believe the auditions we have received are good enough to cast! I have enjoyed listening to all the talent and I am excited to begin working with you! Casting will take place on December 13th, a day after the deadline. So there is still time to get in some last minute auditions before the first round of casting! For the roles that are not cast, I will extend the deadline for another week or so, so hopefully we can get a few more auditions and get the project moving! If you are cast, I will comment on your audition with the next steps for this project! That's all for now!

Kula was originally a cold hearted killer, who was treated as a puppet with little to no emotion. However those days are now behind her, and she now acts like a carefree and cheerful young child.
Kula’s voice should be high pitched, with a cheerful, energetic and fun vibe to it.

Athena is very outgoing, polite, and friendly. A happy girl with righteous virtues and well-meaning morals. As a pop idol and singer, she treasures her fans and those who are helpless and strives to do her best to fight for them, though she can be a bit of a cry-baby at times.
Her voice should be high pitched and sweet sounding, but with a mature and put-together touch.

Leona is a withdrawn character who has trouble expressing herself outside of combat or a mission. Due to her past, she often keeps her emotions in check as she is afraid of losing control and hurting her friends.
Leona’s voice should be a deep and strong sounding voice, serious and very stoic, but with a commanding presence.

Nakoruru is calm and gentle. She seems to be shy toward people. Yet, to others, her mannerisms and appearance make her seem rather "doll-like", a term that somewhat displeases her.

Shermie is very outgoing and friendly. However, like some people, she has reservations about society at large, as she considers them stupid, when it crosses beyond her interests and profession. She doesn't seem to take battles and fighting too seriously, often dancing around and picking up her cellphone during battle.
Shermie should have a playful and seductive voice.
(cheerful) “Oh my? Are you sleeping again? (seductive) Please wake up, sleepy head…”
(cheerful) "OMG! Wow, you're so beautiful! Have you put on a little weight though? Hehe... (sinister) Just kidding...."
