Casting Call for Smash Ultimate Adventures
Project Overview
Hey! Are you looking for a chance to show off your voice acting (or machinimating) skills in a smash machinima? Well look no further (or do) than the upcoming machinima, "Smash Ultimate Adventures" created by me, DudeAwesome912! But if you don't get picked for a role, don't worry! It's not the end of the world as more characters will be added as this series progresses. And who knows? That character could be you!
Even though this is my first time making a machinima and using this website and the dead line is pretty far, there are some requirements:
- A good enough microphone or recording setup. (As long as there is little to no background noises)
- Keep in touch through Discord.
- Notifying me about any situations that will postpone productions.
If you are interested, submit an audition, do your best, and may the goddess protect you.
Once I have my cast, I'll post the script. This is my first time using this website.
(Optional) It will be very hard for me to make this using 4 joy-cons (one of them has joy-con drift) all by myself. So if you can help me with getting in-game footage for this machinima, that would be great!

Bio: Mario (aka Jumpman) is one of many main characters throughout this series. Being the very first fighter in Smash history, he's very energetic. He's also great friends with Link and brother of Luigi.
Voice: As much as the classic Charles Martinet voice fits Mario, I want to make him understandable and I don't want to put anyone through doing this 24/7. I think a normal middle age english voice will work.
(Laughing)
"Oh Young Link, you sweet summer child."
(mockingly)
"Ha Ha. Laugh it up, Bowser. You know she rejected you too right?"
"Luigi, Link has shown me enough anime to know that confessing your love at the end is a bad idea."
Bio: Link, the Hero of Hyrule, is the best friend of Mario and close friend of Zelda. He's pretty calm and level-headed, but can sometimes run into danger head first without thinking.
Voice: His voice should sound heroic but also pretty laid-back to match his character.
(calming down from laughing)
"I think I know why you're confused, Young Link."
(assertive)
"Alright, everyone. Give her some space! She wants some alone time from everyone here!"
(Proud)
"Not at all. I'm really happy for you."
Bio: Luigi, professional scaredy cat and brother of Mario, Luigi wants to tell Zelda how he feels. But with his "girlfriend" constantly breathing down his neck and smashing other girls outta the competition, it's a lot easier said than done. But when someone he cares about is in danger, he grows nerves of steel and isn't afraid to back down.
Voice: His voice should be a little shaky around the nervous parts and when he gets serious, his voice should get a little deeper.
(worried)
"Are you sure about this, Mario?"
(scared and angry)
"I'm gonna kill Wario for this!"
(serious)
"Get away from her, you psychopath!"
Bio: Zelda the happy and gleeful princess of Hyrule. She is different from the Zelda in Brawl in looks and personality. And because of that, almost everyone falls head over heels for her. While she isn't one to play the dating game, there is a certain someone she has her heart set on.
Voice: It should be similar to her voice in Ultimate, so you should emphasize positivity in a slightly high pitch voice almost all the time.
(joyful)
*giggle* "Hello everyone!"
(worried and confused)
"Do you think he'll be ok with that?"
(in pain)
"What...have I done...to deserve this?"
Bio: Daisy is kind of a nut-job or a "yandere" as the people say. She calls herself, "Luigi's Girl" (even though they aren't dating) and she's extremely boy crazy for him. But if some other lady tries to talk to him, she'll hunt them down to the ends of the earth to give them a "game over" with her instruments of torture (the weapons in her F-Smash).
Voice: Like Zelda, it should be similar to her voice in Ultimate, and when she goes psychotic, try to go into a DC Joker style crazy, complete with crazy chuckles.
(Loudly in a singsong voice)
"Luigi!"
(angry and a little insane)
Don't play dumb with me, you idiot!"
(full-blown psychopath)
"I'll give you a pretty lil' makeover... with my FRYING PAN! *crazy chuckle*"
Bio: (Forgot to add this at the start, sorry im dumb) Bowser isn't really a major threat in this machinima, he's just a big bully to almost everyone. Especially Mario.
Voice: He should sound rough and tough like other iterations of Bowser. You could also do an impression of King Koopa from the Super Mario Bros Super Show if you want.
(Boastful)
"Big game coming from someone who got rejected by Peach on her wedding day!"
(insecure)
"Wha- Well- T-That's... Shut up, Plumber!
"Hey Mario, you can have Peach."
Bio: Since Young Link hasn't been in Smash for a while, he doesn't know a lot about the current Smash Bros. He's also very sassy and can get annoyed very fast and easily. (Because of Navi)
Voice: He may be a child, but I think a voice in the 8-11 yr old range would be better.
(happy)
"What about Zelda? She's very pretty!"
(confused)
"What? What's so funny?"
(condesending)
"You were saying?"
Bio: Wario is fat and greedy, but (somewhat) helps Luigi with Zelda.
Voice: I think the best voice is his normal WAH-rio accent and speech. Feel free to add a WAH to any sentence to spice it up.
"The only thing I love is sweet, sweet moolah!" *laughing*
(confused)
"Hey, Green Mario. Why aren't you swarming Zelda?"
"You can thank me later with cash!" *laughter*
Since I will be getting the in-game footage, I might have to leave the video editing process to you. I don't think I can do this all by myself with nothing but iMovie on a MacBook Pro.
Note: THIS IS OPTIONAL but it would be a tremendous help. You will not go unlisted if you do, so don't worry.
Say something you think would fit
Due to separate households, me by myself using four joy-cons (one with drift), my terrible filming skills and the time it takes for me to type the script, I would be very happy to have someone help me with filming the shots I need for this Machinima. The majority of them aren't that precise, but it would be great to have someone get the shots of characters moving, fighting, etc, while I continue working on the script for future episodes. Once you have the footage, you can send it to me via Google Drive once I share my email with you in a private message.
You don't have to have a lot of joy-cons or people to help, but if you would like to volunteer, It would be a HUGE help.
The reason I ask this is because my parents aren't living together, and living in separate houses can really destroy a schedule. If you were willing to help me with filming, I'd be very grateful. Thank you.
Say something you think would fit
With school keeping me occupied and other things in my life keeping me busy, it would be great to have another writer/co-writer to help write the characters out of a jam. I know how I want the scene to go, but I can't think of witty or clever dialogue for the characters. It would be very helpful for someone to help me with writing.
