Skyrim Paranormal Investigation: The Pale Lady

Project Overview

This video will be the third in the Skyrim Paranormal Investigation series. To see what this series is about you can watch the second video above.

I have not heard from the voice actor that voiced Galvus, the main character in the last video. At this point I must find a new Galvus. This character is the lead character in this series and is also the narrator.  So he is of vital importance.

Galvus is a pompous, vain, condescending character who looks down on everyone who is not an educated like himself. He treats his scribe, Alfsius, in a very condescending manner, however Alfsius is the more intelligent of the two. Galvus meanwhile is a bit of an idiot. Please watch the above idiot to get an idea of Galvus' character.

I have every other character's voice acting done and in at this point, so I am asking at the last minute for help with this character,. I have set such a short time limit because it is necessary and hope that the person who can voice Galvus will be able to get his lines done within a few days.

  • Urgently seeking someone to voice the lead character!

The voice actor who voiced Galvus and narrates the video is not able to fill the role. At this point I have all the other voice acting in and I am looking for Galvus to be voiced as quickly as possible so that I can get this video finally made. A good quality mic and recording space is really important as this character is talking throughout the video pretty much.

This character is a male Nord (info on Nords),  Here is an idea of how the Nords talk in Skyrim. I am not asking specifically for this, but along these lines would be great.

Thorun is middle aged, not particularly educated or intelligent. He makes his income by logging and so is rather weather beaten and rough.

In this scene he is sitting in the Morthal inn with my two investigators. Thorun volunteered to meet with them and tell them all he knows about the Pale Lady. Having lived in Morthal and it's surrounding marshes his whole life, as did his father and grandfather before him, he is very much a local and has a wealth of local knowledge, especially when it comes to the Pale Lady.

  • Everyone who lives in
these parts knows about the Pale Lady. Some say she is a comely young woman, some say she is an old hag. But
    no one knows for sure.

  • A year later a man from the
town disappeared when hunting in the marsh. Everyone thought he
had fallen afoul of one of the creatures that lives out there. But
then another man disappeared, and another.

  • A hunter said he saw his friend
walking into the deep water, like he was possessed or something. The hunter called out to his friend, but the friend didn’t seem to hear. Then
something suddenly dragged the friend under the water and he was
    never seen again.

Galvus is a researcher from the Imperial City in Cyrodiil. He is a well educated, big headed, pompous, somewhat delusional and egotistical man who treats his scribe, Alfsius, in a very condescending manner. Looking down his nose at Alfsius (alf-sea-us) and  anyone who is not one of his esteemed fellow researchers from the Imperial City. He regards the Nords as pretty much uneducated savages and Skyrim as a dangerous, bland wilderness.

However when it comes to the paranormal he is a bit too quick to label something 'paranormal' even when there could be logical explanations.

  • [Narration] Night fell and we once again took our places to keep watch. After a disappointing watch the night before we had great hopes that something would happen. But once again the hours passed to no avail, nothing stirred….

  • [Here Galvus has taken credit for an idea that was not his own, but rather was Alfsius' idea]
What a good idea that was of mine! Of course I always keep an open mind about such things, as a researcher you need to do that. Something you will learn with time and experience Alfsius.

  • [Talking to Alfsius] Now was that so hard? You need to stop making a big drama out of everything! Fancy being scared of a little spider.
