Skyrim Mod: Sleepwalking into a Nightmare
Project Overview
This is a nightmare themed Daedric prince quest featuring the influence of Vearmina. In the quest you will help Ralforn find his wife who has disappeared through the night. The player will come to learn that she suffers from nightmares and sleepwalking. She has become the target of the Daedric prince of Nightmares, Vaermina. She has been corrupted and taken advantage of by the Daedric prince and lays eternally asleep stuck in a constant nightmare. The Dragonborn must venture into these nightmares and overcome them before she can be freed, or if the player so chooses, can be sacrificed to gain the nightmarish powers of Vaermina for themselves becoming blessed by the Daedric prince and being bestowed with a power Artifact.

Ralforn, the husband of Gretska who has vanished and is asking the player for help. He is a Nord from the Riften area, a regular citizen of Skyrim spending his time tending to crops and doing manual labour jobs in Riften.
He will act as the Quest giver in the mod.
He is a relatively gentle and softspoken. Currently a bit nervous and unsure as his Wife has vanished overnight.

"Gretska where’ve you… Oh… You’re not Gretska." (Stern and worried, turning to surprise realising it's not Gretska))
"When I woke up this morning she wasn’t here, she still hasn’t shown up." (Worried and unsure)
"Oh thank you, thank you friend. You don’t know how much this means to me!" (Happy and relieved the player is helping him))
Suffering from chronic sleepwalking and nightmares inflicted by Vaermina without her knowledge. She has disappeared, having sleep walked away during the night under the manipulation of Vaermina.
She will be the main objective of the quest, finding and saving her from the living nightmare.
She is a naturally warm approachable and friendly character.

"Ah! (Hurt headache) Where am I? Who are you? What's going on?" (Just woken up, unsure, cautious and in slight pain)
"This is Green-Tip cabin. I live here with my Husband, Ralforn." (Neutral and calm)
"Unless you can help me sleep? No. *chuckles*" (Jesting yet slightly serious.)
Vaermina, called the Prince of Dreams and Nightmares, the Gifter, the Mistress of Nightmares and Dark Portents, the Lady of Nightmares, the Weaver of Dreams,the Queen of Nightmares, Weaver of the Panoply, Daedra Lady of Corruption and Decay, the Dreamweaver and the Dark Lady is a Daedric Prince whose sphere is the realm of dreams and nightmares, and from whose realm evil omens issue forth, as well as corruption and decay.
She acts as the antagonist in the quest, having manipulated and corrupted Gretska for her own plots. At the end of the quest she offers the player to take her side and turn against Gretska/Ralforn.

"Hear my beckons mortal, come before me and speak." (Commanding and summoning the player to her)
"You have come here, to this nightmare… for what ends?" (Commanding an answer, a little confused why the player is here)
Gretska's Father appears in several of the nightmare scenes involving a Werewolf. In these scenes he will comfort a young version of Gretska through various traumatic events.
He is a strong yet soft comforting character.

"It’s just the wolves honey, the won’t come near us don’t worry" (Calm, strong and dismissive)
"Stay here Gretska. I’m going to check." (Assertive, composed and strong)
Gretska's Mother will appear in a nightmare scene where Gretska is being scolded as a child by her mother. She threatens to call the guards to lock Gretska away when the nightmare transforms into a prison break scene.
She will be an annoyed and aggressive character through most but soft and comforting once the nightmare is over

"Haven’t you done enough already Gretska…" (Fed up and annoyed at her daughters misbehavior)
"Yes of course dear, it was just a vase." (Loving and reassuring)
A child version of Gretska will appear in the various nightmare scenes. She will appear often nervous and afraid, either being punished or seeking reassurance. For more information see Gretska's profile.
This is a child character, there is no set age so anything from child to early teen will work.

"Yeah I’d love that, I can’t wait to start!" (Stopped crying but still upset and excitement creeping through)
"*Gasp* What was that?" (A little scared and nervous having heard howling)
The guard appears in the prison nightmare scene, warning and generally mean to the the player who is in the role of a young Gretska.
