I was unsure of the direction given for the 3rd line. I wasn't sure if "Hinting they should try" meant that the guard was attempting to let Gretska know that he was helping her and she should try to escape. Like wink wink. OR if you meant "Try to escape, see what happens!" in a threatening way. I went for the former but if you want another take, please let me know. Thanks.
