This character is an android so if you can run your audition take through a distortion filter that will make your voice sound robotic that would be a plus, although we will consider all applications.
You will need to record three lines for this character.
(Commander’s half-human, half-android voice, relaxed, yet authoritative and suitable for a show host; applause in the background) Hahaha, thank you, thank you, ladies and gentlemen of the crew, and thank YOU! Yes, you! The amazing audience without whom this ground-breaking reality show wouldn’t be so successful! It seems that our military personnel or contestants in this case, are having trouble understanding some of “The Trick”’s rules. As I’m sure everyone in the audience already knows there’s a very important rule about trying to escape from the ship, or even worse – plotting revenge. But before I continue, let’s take a short commercial break!
We are looking for a black voice actress for this role but we will consider other applications as well.
This character only has one voice message so there won’t be a need to record anything other than the message in the audition. If we like your performance we’ll send you the money and you’ll send us the audition take.
(an older black woman’s voice) Hi, sweetie! Hope you doin’ fine with those strange people up there! It’s such a shame you didn’t have time to stop by for home-made Choco Bytes, but your Commander came to take them for you. Such a sweet, handsome man! He promised to give them to you as soon as the show’s over. We’re all proud to have you there, the whole family’s watching! Who would’ve thought our little Woody’s gonna be famous! But please be careful, three months is a long time... Much love from your auntie! Oh, and your mother says to watch out for that crazy Lieutenant... We’ve all seen his contestant profile and he turbo-mad! Much love from your fam, Woody!
