Shugo Chara Scene Dub
Project Overview
Hey everyone! This is a casting call for a fandub of a scene from the anime Shugo Chara. Video editing and script are complete, so now it’s time for voice actors!
About the project:
This project is a dubbing of a ~2 minute scene from episode 33 of Shugo Chara. The scene involves comedy, romance, teasing, and ice cream. You do not need to have watched the show prior, however if you’d like to watch the scene, you can find it at the link below, at the approximate timestamps of 16:50- 18:50.

Please keep in mind:
-While you are welcome to reference the Japanese dub for voices, this is not required. There is no official English dub. I am providing descriptors below, however you are still welcome to come up with your own take on the characters voices!
-The script has been adjusted for lip syncing, however I may ask you to adjust pacing or reference the original video for pacing. Please be aware of this.
-Most characters will have additional action grunts. Please be prepared to do so as needed.
-I plan to communicate through discord. If you’d like to take part but not work through discord though we can work something out!
-Characters found in the chapter that aren’t listed here were cast prior
General Guidelines:
1) Mics with little to no background noise
2) 2-3 takes per line and no slating is preferred, however your audition will still be considered.
3) Keep in mind deadlines! I would like a turnaround time of 2 weeks after casting for lines. If you need deadline extensions that’s ok, just please let me know! I like to stay as on top of things as possible.
4) Have fun! This is a passion project to have fun making and being a part of a project. I do however plan to handle it as professionally as possible. :)

Ikuto’s personality is very enigmatic, aloof, and somewhat stoic. He usually keeps himself at a distance, but enjoys teasing others, specifically Amu and Tadase. He speaks somewhat mysteriously and smoothly, like you can’t tell if he is serious or not.
Vocal description: Upper teen, so nothing too young, or too mature. Mid or mid-low range.
(matter-of-fact, light teasing) You know… if you eat two ice creams at once, you’ll get fat.
(serious/mysterious) I can’t leave you alone. You interest me.
(laugh, then talking. Lighthearted, relaxed) *laughing to self* You really are the best person to mess with.

Tadase is kind-hearted, polite, and somewhat shy. He takes a leadership role as the “King’s Chair” of the guardians, and many fondly refer to him as “Prince”. Has a complicated past with Ikuto, and gets fired up and defensive around him. Vocal description: Lower teen, so a youthful voice, but not too childish. Mid to mid-high range. I encourage boys and girls to audition for Tadase!

Miki is one of Amu’s guardian characters, representing her more artistic side. She’s more tomboyish, laidback, and reserved. Has two lines
Vocal description: mid- range, rougher voice.

(observing commentary, lighthearted) I don’t think that’s the issue anymore.
