Two years after the Lakeview murder, the group has separated from each other and their traumatic past. A determined detective and her partner pick up the missing pieces and create the puzzle. New issues arise as we grow closer to the truth hidden beneath Lakeview.
Shapeless Love Again is the second coming chapter to the Shapeless series. As we enter a new segment, it is now time for some updated casting! Heres what you should know:
- Due to budget, Compensation is only given to Leads and Secondary roles. All payments are delivered 30-60 days after agreements have been signed. We do appreciate those who audition for minor roles and extras, as it really brings it together. If this is your first time auditioning for a project, I would suggest going for roles that aren't so demanding.
- This is an ongoing project. There will be more auditions posted as time goes on, and we expect all VA to remain consistent throughout the season(s).
- We are looking for voice actors in all regions and cultures. Please don't shy away from showing personality, as this is a teen-targeted production and emotion is necessary!

-[] Tori is the fourth lead female role. She is a teenager (age unknown), There is an air of mystery surrounding this character, as much of her is unbeknownst to her friends. please remember, despite her seemingly scary lines-- she has a very shy and sweet voice... Use that to your advantage and keep her innocence intact while also managing her insanity.
Tori locks eyes with Alana:
"Whats the matter? Cant stand the sight of me...? Ha, I'll bet." *snarky, sinister tone*
[In combat] Tori stands up with on-going menacing laugh that slowly grows:
"You idiots! Did you-- HAHA-- Did you really think I'd let you get the chance?! Now you're never going back!"
Tori leans in beside Ventura and whispers:
"Just between you and me, I never liked her anyway." *comforting yet nerve-racking*
[Please add in an improve line after this part-- something sly that changes the atmosphere your words just created. Make Ventura feel safe after such a shocking statement.]
-[] Blake is the second lead protagonist role to Ventura. She is a young adult detective who takes the case of the lakeview murders. Taking on one of the biggest cases in Lakeview since her commencement, which was only 2 years prior-- this rookie officer deals with the teens on a personal level. It is imperative that Blake's motherly and caring nature is captured through her subtly fierce-yet stern tone. I want to have someone portray a very sisterly persona, while also being the one in charge. This role requires a lot more affectionate and dominating prospects.
Directors tip: Make her your own. Being that Shapeless is such a puzzling and dramatic story, I want each character to have their own special 'thing'. Add a few random noises that are distinct, maybe her own quirks! We really want this character to be a staple.
[Manny turns on the recorder and gives Blake the cue to begin the interrogation.]
Blake sits down and looks at Freddie with forgiving eyes:
"*Deep sigh* Okay, this won't be easy--but we need you to trace back as far as you can. What do you remember? What did you see? Any lights, colors, voices? Give us a name and we'll be able to help. Can you do that?"
[Blake leans in to hand Ventura her credentials]
"The names Purtia (purr-tia), But you can call me detective Blake. I need you and your friends to tell me a few things about- uh.. The recent incident."
[Blake rushes down to the security hall -- Manny follows closely behind, struggling to keep pace]
Manny: Blake-- ugh, Blake we can't keep doing this! We've tried, its already too late--
-- Blake quickly turns around with burning rage and barely spits out her words:
"Goddamnit Manny! I am so sick of the lies, the inexplicable tales, the **weirrrrd** little parleys-- I am *sick* of this fucked up town!-- and, and--
-- Blake takes a deep breath and pauses in place
"If you don't want to help me, fine! I can do it on my own. But I will not-- not *ever*, leave those kids to bare that sacrifice alone. I can't-- No, I won't."
-- Blake swiftly exits and slams the door.
Directors Note: Be as dramatic, theatrical and over the top as you must. Heck, add in a ton of pounding breaths and random words!
Jackson is the supporting friend to Ventura. He is charismatic, short tempered, and playful. He has a monotone voice, and is quite sharp.This was a real fly by character that I thought of on the spot, so I want his voice actor to really own the character. Include some of your own traits, as if you are teenage boy being caught in the crossfire of a murder scene (essentially). While Jackson is an innocent passerby, he plays a significant role.
JACKSON
I’m sorry- Did I- Did I do something?
JACKSON
Ventura, I really have no idea what you’re talking about. Me? Use someone for comical entertainment? Pfft—
JACKSON
You— Are you insane?!
[Jackson begins to hyperventilate]
You can’t do this! You won’t get away with this!
[Jacksons voice begins to fade as he screeches out]
SARAH
Look I know you think I’m not putting on any weight around here, but I am doing a lo—
JACKSON
(cutting in)What on earth has that got to do with anything?
SARAH
what?
JACKSON
your weight—
SARAH
(offended) Excuse me? Why are you talking about my weight?
JACKSON
YOU were just talking about your weight. It’s pulling, not putting. *Scuffs*
Directors Note: This is a sample piece. Feel free to play with the tone! You can be playful and snarky.
Manny is Detective Blake’s partner. This character does not yet have his own ‘look’ (the skin has not been developed) so we are open to any sort of accent, nationality, and appearance. This character is a young adult, and really pulls in the idea of an ‘investigator’. We are looking for someone who is really interested in bringing this character along as we continue writing.
[Manny follows Blake into her office innocently]
MANNY
Blake! Come on’ we’ve gotta we re-Open this case!
BLAKE
On what grounds? We have no leads, no cooperative witnesses. Nothing.
MANNY
That’s just it! We’ve found new information. We know where Freddie is now. If we found the others, we could possibly put this story together!
[Blake turns around in curiosity]
MANNY
Hello… Hello, is anyone there? I’m Manny Pearson of the Lakeview police department! I’m here to help!
[Manny’s voice creates an echo as another voice emerges]
TORI
Manny? MANNY!
MANNY
Tori— What are you doing her—
[Tori sprays Manny with gas and he suddenly begins to fall]
MANNY
I knew— I knew it— *THUMP*
Create your own impression of Manny! It doesn’t have to be long. We really want to see who can bring this character together in their own way!
Alana is one of the previous characters from season 1, who has now made her way into the second season with a boom! After suddenly disappearing (along with Freddie) she now returns to Lakeview in order to solidify her innocence. This character is African American, with a mono/close to soft voice.
The lines you are presented are from season 1, which was a lot more intense. We are looking for someone who can really go in depth with this character and her complexities.
ALANA
*Soft Gasp* Ventura, you have to leave now!
VENTURA
What- what’s going on?
ALANA
It was too easy… No, no- We weren’t his target- it was somebody else..
ALANA NARRATION
So I did what anyone would do. An eye for an eye right? *Sigh* unfortunately, things didn’t go the way we planned.
[Flashback-Ends]
ALANA
And now we meet today. Ryan has done something to your mother, Ventura. And I can’t risk losing you next.
ALANA
Psh! I’m past that! I’ve just got myself into a bit of a mess this time that’s all..
AUSTIN
What? What do you mean?
ALANA
Well.. (leans in and whispers) I tried to kill someone..
Probably one of the most important parts of our scenes are to have amazing background/extra voices! We are looking for actors all over the world, with any accent/language! We want to write all sorts of characters, so these roles range from just about anything.
Extra roles can also become minor roles, where they appear every now and then to move the story along, or just provide comical use!
This is perfect for actors who are looking for roleplay experience, or become involved in the community. Being in Vivlo Studios, we will offer our best to ALL voice actors!
