Serenville Stories is a collection of short Machinima tales created using The Sims 4. Invisible is the first of these tales set in the Serenville universe and follows the exploits of Hannah Park as she negotiates her way through the perils of high school.
We require several voice actors for a variety of characters including lead, supporting, and minor.
Lines will need to be submitted in mono Mp3 format via Google Drive link.
You will need to have a Discord account for ease of communication with other VAs and the Project Lead.
You will need to stay in consistent touch with us (check in weekly) on the Discord channel, so that we know you're still alive!
Lines to be submitted by the deadline date. If you are going to be late , please give as much notice as possible, and we can extend the deadline a bit.
Failure to give notice or failure to stay in touch on Discord (see above) will result in you being kicked from the project and the role recast.
When recording, ideally the files you submit will have little to no background noise.
Please note, this is an UNPAID project, so would be ideal for those starting out in VA or looking to gain more experience at working within a team.

Not much is known about this supernatural demon, but in the last few episodes, he seems to have a connection to Tia Serendipity and only she can see him. He tries to bring her down by bringing her deepest insecurities to the surface.

(Condescending) "I'll never understand humans. Why do you waste your pathetic lives trying to please everyone else? If only you realised nobody cares about you. In fact, I would go as far as saying they *hate* you. You poor miserable creature! (Evil Laugh)"
(Aggressively) "You've made everything worse just by your mere existence, so why don't you do all of us a great big favour and... (Loses temper) END IT! (Composes self, jokingly) Funny thing is... that might even be the only useful thing you ever do! (Laughs Maniacally) "

The embattled heroine of Invisible. She is quite the glass half empty type of person and has very obvious trust issues. Is very much lost in world and can never truly be a part of it until she can settle her own internal struggles.
(Internal Monologue) "You ever notice how the world can forget about you in the blink of an eye? People pass us by every day and they'll look at you, (slight pause) but do they really see you?"
"No...not really. My Mom just encourages me to record my thoughts and feelings. She thinks it'll help with all that 'teenage angst'"
(Sad) "And just like that, (slight pause) she was gone and somehow, I felt more alone than before. I didn't think that was even possible"
Used to be Hannah's best friend, but they stopped hanging out when she started seeing Chase. Quite a cold person and self obsessed.
(Calmly) "We see the same things and the same faces every day, but we're too scared to move on and pursue what we really want....just because we're comfortable"
"I wanted you to be the last person I said goodbye to because, well....you were the first person I met when I moved here. It just seemed the right thing to do."
Chase used to be friends with Hannah before starting to date Luna. Son of the Principal and brother to Luci Spectre. Academically inclined, but by contrast very socially awkward. Stumbles over his words.
(Olive Branching) "I see Hannah Park still hasn't lost her sense of humour at least."
"Luna wanted me to give you a message...she asked if you can go to 'the place' after school. She's got something she needs to tell you."
Everybody knows who Chloe Taylor is, and if somehow you don't, she'll make sure you do soon enough. She's the Head of the cheerleading squad, Miss Popular, and very bossy with it. If you're not part of her group, you're not worth knowing.
(Confidently) "You're right as always Mel. (Ordering) So...as your Queen, this is my royal decree girls...Gym. Tomorrow morning. We're gonna drill this till we drop!"
(Disgusted) "You can't put me in detention with these freaks! My lawyer is soooo going to hear about this!"
Amelia is a part of the cheerleading squad along with Chelsea Jackson and Mel Clarke. Was involved in a tragic car accident which orphaned her and her twin sister. She now lives with her Grandmother.
(Sad) “My sister’s all the way out there in that prison. No life, no mind of her own. Just the drugs they put into her to make her quiet.
(Threatens) “Do not interrupt her you germ!”
The sensible member of the cheerleading outfit and tries to bring the voice of reason to the group. Tries, often without success, to guide Chloe into doing the right thing.
(Scared) “I don’t think you realise what you’ve all done… when The Sabers find out about this they’ll-”
(Jokingly) “Don’t you think this is kinda pointless? You practically purged the entire female student body last time we held tryouts.”
A very short tempered member of the Drama club, Dylan's mood isn't helped with the constant bullying that he receives from the Jocks (mainly Kyle Jackson). Understandably hates them as a result. Is homosexual, but that isn't the reason for the bullying... or is it?
- (Angry) “Skye, I swear, if you don’t get that camera out of my face…”
- (Interrupts) “They’ll what? Beat us up? They can’t do anything worse to us than what they’ve already been doing!”
Mrs Miller's daughter and member of the Drama club. Loves vlogging and is a budding independent journalist looking to get the scoop on all the latest school gossip.
- (Feels Bad) “Okay okay, jeez! I just thought the people should know the truth, y’know… tell ‘em your side of the story instead of thinking you got your ass kicked again.”
- (Jokingly) Can we make it 15 minutes? A masterpiece of such destruction takes time y’know…”
A member of the Jock community and also the Student Body President. Wields great charisma. Knows his best friend Vince Magnotta manipulates him, but seems okay with it.
- (Disappointed) Alright, that’s enough guys! You think arguing in the hallway makes us look good?We’re Sabers. We’re all brothers here, united we stand divided we fall right?
- (Angry) Is this a joke to you? Vandalising school property!? As student body president I have half a mind to speak to the Principal about this!
Brandon is a good guy. Although he's a part of the Jocks, he's not your typical meathead. Always got your back and loves his family.
"I mean… I guess I could head over for a bit after I’ve seen Zoey."
(Annoyed) "What are you all doing in here? The gym’s been reserved today for Sabers only."
The ladies' man of the Jocks. If he sees an opportunity to get his flirt on, he'll take it. Takes very few things in life seriously.
- (Sleazy) “What can I say? I’m a simple guy. If I see a pretty girl… I tend to stare. Sue me.”
- (Threatens) “ You really think we’re gonna let you walk out of here after this?You’re gonna end up like your little friend over there.”
Part of the Jocks and is a natural athlete. Questioning his own sexual orientation and tends to hit out at Dylan Diaz who is already comfortable with his.
- (Worried) You’re such a creep Jules. You better stay away from my sister.
- (Angry) Don’t say it! I’m nothing like you! I’m… I’m... (Start Crying) I don’t know what the hell I’m even doing anymore...
Miss Dawson is an Art teacher who believes in nurturing her students in order to draw out any innate artistic talent. Tries to support Hannah in following her own passions rather than living up to her mother's expectations.
- (Impressed) “You know, I wouldn’t normally encourage graffiti on books, but you’re quite the artist.”
- “Art is an expression of feeling, it helps us explain what words in a journal cannot.Be a voice, not an echo Miss Park. I want to know what you think, not your mother.”
A Music teacher with serious debt issues. Because of this, he is in the extreme situation of living out of his car. Has the dubious honour of supervising the kids in detention.
- (Calmly) “Between me and you guys, I’m only doing this because I’ve got nowhere else to be. So as long as you’re all cool, I’m cool.”
-“Not a problem, as long as you’re working on the performance you’ve got free reign of the school and it’s facilities.”
Amelia Cunningham's grandmother and only guardian. Has seen it all and it shows in her worldly-wise approach to all things. Is very kind.
- (Corrects Hannah) No, no… it’s Mrs Cunningham dear. Amelia’s grandfather is very much alive in my heart still.
- (Concerned) When she’s not sitting alone in her room, she just goes to the island. I think it’d be good for her if you went too.
Amelia's twin sister. The accident has resulted in severe PTSD and hears voices. It's difficult to tell whether the physical or psychological scars are more prominent. Currently detained in an asylum off shore.
- (Softly) They told me you’d never come back, but I didn’t want to listen.
- (Upset) I don’t like it here, when can you take me home? I keep hearing voices in the walls. They tell me bad things.
Brandon's little sister. A recovering cancer survivor, so still has moments of severe tiredness. Because of this, she relies on Brandon to help her with day to day life for the moment. Is a very quiet and sweet child.
- (Happy) “I’m doing much better now, I’ve got big brother Brandon to keep me company!”
- (Tired) “I’m a little sleepy but can we play just a little longer pleeease?”
Hannah's dad. A stay at home parent who is very kind and patient. These traits are especially useful when playing peacekeeper between Hannah and her mother.
- (Concerned) Why do you have this obsessive need to fix every little thing? But she’s not one of your patients, just give her a chance to get through this herself.
- (Sad) I know everything feels like it’s falling apart right now. This is the hard part of life I wish I could hide from you.
Hannah's mother. Due to her profession as a psychologist, is probably unaware of her controlling nature. Especially with her own daughter. Is a workaholic.
- (Disappointed) “Detention? How could you get detention?! The school’s already called and explained everything. I’m so disappointed in you.”
- (Shocked) “Can you believe she spoke to me like that? Should I go after her?”
Hannah's cat. Sarcastic and sassy. Likes sleeping and lounging around in Hannah's room.
- (Sarcastically) Like I have any choice! Now let me nap in peace human. Meow.
- (Excitedly) Oh? Just try me, I find your little stories amusing. Meow.
