Secrets of Time: Chapter 1
Project Overview
Hello everyone!
I'm new to directing, but I have experience in editing and animation. The link above is a trailer that I think might give you an idea if it's something you want to audition for.
Secrets of time is a series with elements of mystery and fantasy. There's also a romantic theme and LGBQ relationships.
There will be no inappropriate scenes. Everything will be preserved in the most favourable atmosphere for children.
Brief Synopsis
The series tells the story of three friends, Violette, Emile and Lola, who mysteriously went back in time. They meet three mysterious ghosts and the rest of the residents of the mansion. By a strange coincidence, one of the residents is Christopher, their friend. Is he the one to blame for this situation? Or was it someone they haven't met yet? What crimes does this place hide? What are these weird dreams supposed to mean?
Rules/ information:
- Please make sure you have a clear microphone with little background noice or static.
- I'd like to aim for a deadline of 2 weeks for lines, but if you need longer than this, please let me know in advance.
- Must be commited in the long term, since this project could go on for a while.
- Episodes will be publically available on youtube, and voice actors will be credited with their castingcallclub username by default, but you can request something different if you prefer.
- You must have discord. I would like to communicate with voice actors through a server created specifically for this series.
Extra notes:
- I encourage you to audition for multiple roles.
- Since this project isn't paid, ideally I'd like to work with people who enjoy voice acting as a hobby.
- Do not hesitate to ask for extra clarification with lines if needed. I am more than happy to give extra direction!
- Since I am new to directing voices, I am open to any feedback on how I could improve. If you've worked with other directors before and liked their methods, feel free to let me know. I want to bring out the best in you, so I am willing to go the extra mile!
- I am very dedicated to this project , so please be assures that it is very unlikely that I will cancel this (provided everything goes well).

Traits: Sarcastic / Caring / Introverted /
Violette seems mean and quiet at first sight. She doesn't like being in the crowd. With people she knows, she seems to be a different person. She often argues with Emile and he is the one who most often meets her sarcastic side of personality. She is very empathic. She has great contact with her younger siblings. Violette loves music and is part of an amateur band.
(Sarcastically) Obviously. After all, they're so much in love with each other.
(Laughs) That's so not your style.
(Angry, Raises voice) We wouldn't argue if he didn't keep provoking me!
Traits: Intelligent / mastered / cultural / caring / kind
Lola has great grades at school. She is a quiet person who rarely pays attention to herself. Nevertheless, if you give her a chance, you'll have trouble stopping her from talking. She likes to use wise and unusual words. She is not very emotional and often has problems showing her feelings.
(Screams) Falsehood!
(Confused) Isn't that obvious? (Sigh, resigned and depressed ) She doesn't look at me like that. I'm not even sure if she' s interested in a relationship with a girl.
(Calm, tries not to show dissatisfaction) I'm delighted along with you.
(Pause) But... What did Christopher write?
Traits: Funny, fearful, optimistic, talkative
Emile always has something to say. No matter how tense the atmosphere is, he'll find a joke. He likes to argue with Violette, but he treats her like a sister. It doesn't take much to scare him. He often exaggerates, but despite his comedy personality he is very intelligent and has a wide knowledge of psychology.
(Nervous) Haha.. I guess it's time for us to get going, right?
(Imitates Violette's calm, cheerful voice) Yeah, Time is running out.
(Imitates Lola's calm and confident voice) Precisely. We should be at the crossroads in a few minutes.
(Speaks quickly) Hah. We better get going. See you later.
(Trying to convince a friend for a favor) Just one character.
(He sees her unconvinced and decides to bribe her. He speaks encouragingly, is almost certain that he will win) What if I buy you a jar of crofters?
( Friend still hesitates, so he keeps trying to convince her by adding another offer. He's hopeful.) And we'll switch places tomorrow for math?
( Unbelieving, slightly annoyed, but keeps the playful tone ) And she's the one who dares to make us lecture on the impact of a proper schedule on our emotional state.
Traits: Happy, cry-baby, energeticy
Despite her young age she is very empathic, so she always tries to follow Violette's orders and help her. Especially when she deals with them herself. Her brother is her complete opposite, so they often argue. But whenever Jorge makes up a joke, Jesse is happy to join in.
(Screams, almost cries) Stop! Don't hurt Mr. Bunny!
(Offended) Even if that were true, but it's not... I want an ice cream.
Traits: Cheerful, impolite, rude, funny
Jorge loves to tease his little sister and prank Violette. He is very stubborn and self-confident. It's hard for him to admit his mistake and his feelings.
( Displeased, muttering to yourself ) But we're not tired...
(Confident) I didn't do anything. This mess is Jesse's fault. Not mine.
Traits: Nice / ambitious / calm / quiet
Mel is a drummer for the amateur band Violette. She is calm. It's hard to upset her, but when you do, she'll be angry for the next few days. She often changes boyfriends, so her friends get used to her constant stories about them.
( Joking tone) Oh,Shush! I'll text you later when I'm available.
(Annoyed) What's wrong with you?
Traits: Polite / Caring / Forgiving / Calm / Optimistic / Naive
Violette's mom. Marilyn is a very nice person. She will always welcome you with a kind word and will be happy to talk to you. But she's very naive and it's hard to explain to her that someone is not as good as she thought. Despite many years, she still believes that the father of her children will come back. Marilyn works a lot and often falls asleep at the least expected moments.
(Cheerful) Thank you, Violette ( Pause ) Are you with Lola now? Please, tell her to thank her mother for the cake recipe.
( Worried, sad ) Oh, honey. Your daddy's working very hard and I doubt he'll be back soon. I'm sorry.
Traits: Polite / empathic / kind
Emile's mom. She's a very nice and cheerful person. She is always optimistic about life and even the illness she has been through has not changed that. She cares about Emile very much and wants him to settle down as soon as possible.
(Cheerful) Oh, dear, why are you so tense? It' s okay. I don't like the fact that you didn't listen to us, Emile, but you're finished in time .
(Hopeful) So how about you and Violette? Are you a couple already?
Traits: Funny / Kind / Cheerful
Emile's dad. He's a positive person. He likes to party and joke. Kate often says that Emile is very much like his father. Claude likes to hang out with friends. He always makes sure he doesn't miss the most important moments in his family's life. But sometimes he doesn't take things too seriously.
(Relieved, joking) I'm glad you never decided to be an actor.
(Cheerful) That's why we won't take the consequences.
Traits: Protective / Forgiving / Polite
Lola's dad. He takes great care of his family. He thinks Lola is being treated too harshly and needs more rest so he always makes sure she doesn't overwork. Despite his efforts, he is often ignored.
(Worried ) You're not going to spend another hours studying, are you?

Traits: Rude / Selfish / Funny / Cheerful
Lola's older sister. She's a very nice person. She always has a lot to say and no problem listening. But her behaviour changes drastically as soon as Lola is mentioned. She treats her sister mean and insults her at every turn.
(Annoyed) Can you shut up? Im trying to watch a movie?
(Offended, worried) Jealous? Im not jealous.I'm just unhappy about the inequality in our family. ( Pause. Supprised, disgusted) Oh, I even sound like you.
( Annoyed) Give me the phone, please. You'll pick it up after class.
