Scene: Inaugural Meeting

Scene: Inaugural Meeting

Project Overview

This call is for a scene in an audio drama project currently in development.

Update 12/2:  My sincere apologies for returning to this so late.  I had a serious family emergency to tend to.  I will be going through auditions over the next couple of days.

The REPORTER is a seasoned, middle-aged reporter for an old-school public news radio station.   He is covering the inaugural meeting of a new society (or social club) which has been established by LANZO.

  • These lines (for REPORTER) constitute about 90% of the dialogue for this part.

    REPORTER
    I'm with the local?

    LANZO
Ah!  Welcome!  I've been expecting you.

    REPORTER
I've been covering the Society calendar for some time - this one's causing quite a stir!

    LANZO
    It **is** unorthodox, but -
    (chuckles with self-satisfaction)
    - based on the turn-out, I'd say there's a place for it!

    REPORTER
Seems so.  I'll set up my gear over here?

    LANZO
    Of course.

    REPORTER
    And an interview afterward?

    LANZO
    I'd be delighted!

AUDIENCE WOMAN (4 words total + misc reactions)

Role assigned to: sasha_blore

A woman is reacting to someone on stage who is "over-sharing" personal details about himself.  She is unpleasantly surprised, mildly
disgusted, and says this line.  She does not actually feel physically ill - she's just expressing her disapproval of the statements being made
 on stage.

I would also love to get some generic audience member reactions - like murmurs of approval/disapproval, coughs, sighs, etc.

  • AUDIENCE WOMAN
    Ugh... I feel sick...
