Rooney’s 24hr Petrol is a podcast (passion project) set in the fictional, very haunted Scottish town of Tree’s Rest in 1994. it follows our main character (already cast) Rory Adler, about a month after she was released from jail. Wanting to leave her mysterious paranormal past behind, she gets a normal,boring,mundane night shift job at her local petrol station “Rooney’s”. The podcast follows her and her coworkers as they try to unravel the sinister mysteries around their town, As well as fighting various paranormal entities. Little do they know the peculiar ongoings Are connected to the petrol station itself.

A 1950’s themed entity with a strange hostile attachment to the petrol station.”Bobby” is an entity that appears to be pretending to be human.It always has a smile on its face and speaks constantly with a menacingly chipper,happy time.”Bobby” turns up everywhere.For more reasons Bobby is only available for male VA’s.(ONLY AUDITION IF YOU’LL STAY FOR MULTIPLE SEASONS)

Greg is the manager of the petrol station despite being 16 years old and fresh out of high school.He only gained the position of manager as his grandmother owns the petrol station.He is Ken’s half-brother sharing a father.Greg enjoys having a position of power over his workers that are atleast 10 years older than him.Greg is a trad goth that always wears some sort of cape over his uniform.He is very sarcastic,blunt and overly straightforward but deep down he cares for his workers & family and would do anything for them,making him one of the bravest characters in the cast. When his voice isn’t monotone & gloomy he’s the definition of “it’s not a phase mum” (ONLY AUDITION IF YOU’LL STAY FOR MULTIPLE SEASONS)

Manager of the local café “The Cheeky Bean”. 39-year-old Joel Gardner,is a fine upstanding member of the community who definitely isn’t an annoyance to all.The self proclaimed head and only member of the town’s Neighbourhood Watch Programme, which definitely doesn’t include stalking the local criminal (Rory) through her windows with his binoculars. Joe is a very proud man. Hates teenagers in managerial positions.his voice sounds very demanding (think Gordon Ramsey) (ONLY AUDITION IF YOULL STAY FOR MULTIPLE SEASONS)

Louis Lee as an exhausted single dad and surrogate brother to the main character. he works dayshift at the petrol station but takes up occasional nights. He is skeptic to the paranormal ongoings, as he lives in the next town over. His voice is very kind and friendly but also extremely tired. (ONLY AUDITION IF YOU’LL STAY FOR MULTIPLE SEASONS)

Ken works at the bakery counter in the petrol station always wearing an apron.He is the epitome of male beauty,customers both men & women come In sometimes just to gaze upon him.Ken likes to play up a play boy persona with the ideals that he could have anyone he wants.But secretly he hates the attention he gets from the public wondering if anyone will ever love him for his is personality and not just his looks.Ken is a fun loving character,who is incredibly kind and thoughtful and loves making jokes.He is a bit overprotective over his loved ones and can be overly petty when offended. Iris isn’t stupid but is described as living in a world of her own.she is the groups token metal & pothead often making jokes and references about her favourite bands.Iris is a very positive person,always trying to see the more fun side in everything.Shes very easy-going and laidback.She enjoys spending time with her coworkers genuinely viewing them as her friends.She isn’t the smartest out of the group but is nice and very easy to get along with.Iris struggles dealing with the disappearance of her girlfriend & her best friend a few years before the podcast is set she also struggles with depression and self worth over her inability to cope with the loss of her closest companions.Iris is one of the LGBTQ+ characters canonly confirmed,Iris identifies as a lesbian. “Goody-two shoes” by her colleagues.Anita is a character that is very rule-driven and is determined to make the most of her life,often absorbing herself in work to distract herself from her issues regarding her identity.She is very family orientated and cares a lot about her coworkers,although completely un-willing to help in their money making schemes.Anita is a kind,caring individual who is extremely loyal to friends and loved ones.
