Rivers of the Sky

Rivers of the Sky

Project Overview

RIVERS OF THE SKY

A Steampunk Fantasy Audio Drama About Forgotten History, Mythology, and Found Family.

Rivers of the Sky is a long-form Steampunk Fantasy • Adventure • Mystery • Drama • Mythology project currently in development as a serialized audio drama, with future possibilities for novels and television.

The story follows Caelan Ashford, a young mechanic and explorer from Aetheria, as he travels across a vast world of diverse continents aboard airships navigating the mysterious Sky Rivers.

Humanity has developed extraordinary mechanical technology, ancient civilizations have disappeared, and history may not be what people believe.

As Caelan and his companions explore the world, they uncover forgotten civilizations, contradictory historical records, ancient mythology, and gods whose influence may be far greater than anyone realizes.

At its heart, Rivers of the Sky is a story about exploration, truth, technology, mythology, and the family we choose.

💼 COMPENSATION

This is currently a volunteer, unpaid project.

The project is in development and pre-production, and there is currently no monetary compensation. Future opportunities will be communicated clearly if the project's funding situation changes.

You do not need to be a professional. Passion, creativity, reliability, and teamwork are just as important as experience.

Voice actor auditions are planned for January 2027.

What if the history everyone knows is not the truth?

The journey begins now.

Latest Updates

  • PROJECT UPDATE — COMPENSATION

I wanted to share an important update regarding Rivers of the Sky.

As the project continues to grow, I've realized that this is a much larger production than originally anticipated. Because of the amount of time, creativity, and work that will go into bringing this world to life, I don't want everyone's contributions to go unrecognized.

For now, the project remains volunteer-based during development and pre-production.

However, if the project becomes financially successful, contributors will be paid for their work, with compensation determined based on the project's available funding and each person's role and contribution.

I cannot promise a specific amount or guaranteed payment at this stage, but I want to be transparent about my intention: if Rivers of the Sky succeeds, I want the people who helped build it to benefit from that success.

Thank you to everyone who chooses to be part of this journey. Your time, creativity, and dedication mean a lot.
