Revue Starlight Re:Live English Fandub
Project Overview
Hello there, welcome for checking out the casting call for the Revue Starlight Re:Live English fandub. For those of you who don't know Revue Starlight Re:Live is a smartphone game that recently became available in English after being available in Japanese for several months now. The game is based off the anime Revue Starlight, and it serves to continue the original story of the anime while adding in a cast of new characters from different schools. The goal of this project is to create a fandub of the game in English that will be put on a youtube channel that has not yet been made.
Please ignore the casting call date, we are limited in that aspect by CCC's policies. The actual due date will be June 18th.
I know the character descriptions can be somewhat intimidating but please don't be afraid to audition for any character you want to try for. We appreciate all the auditions that are posted, even if they don't get chosen for a specific character.
Rules:
- Please be over 13
- Please have a microphone that is equivalent to the quality of a Blue Snowball or better. In other words, this means using a microphone that is not a headset, laptop, or cellphone mic. If you currently do not have a microphone of such quality but do intend to get one in the near future, please let me know.
- Please speak fluent, or close to fluent, English
Notes:
- Karen has already been cast, we apologize for anyone who wished to voice her. However, the role may be opened up if we need our voice actress for Karen to play a different role instead.
- You do not have to have watched the anime or played the game to audition. However, it is very highly appreciated.
- You are allowed to audition for as many characters as you like. However, you will only be cast for one, or at most two, characters. That being said, if we think your voice suits a girl you have not auditioned for we will let you know.
- We will be basing the voices off of the Japanese voices. We will not be providing video references however they can easily be found on Revue Starlight's website.
- We do not require you to be able to do an impression of a voice to play the part, all we require is that you have a similar voice type to the character. For example, please audition for deep voiced characters with deep voices and high pitched voiced characters with high pitch voices.
- There will be story spoilers in the audition lines, especially that of the Siegfeld characters because the audition lines are all taken from the main and school stories from the game.
- The only male character available is the giraffe. No cisgender males should be auditioning for any other roles. Trans females may audition for any roles as they wish, we just request that you please inform us that you are a trans girl so that we can refer to you with your preferred gender.
- If any voice actor is available to help with staffing please let us know. However, it is not necessary to let us know as we already have video and audio editors on our team.
- We do not currently plan to dub the Revue Starlight anime and we will not be covering any of the songs from the game. All we want is for you to be able to act, that is it.
- Lastly, thank you for checking out or project and please have fun with your auditions. If you have any other questions for us please let us know.

Latest Updates
-
As of right now, the majority of our cast has been casted. We are incredibly proud of each and every audition that was submitted but we had to make some hard choices. We were, however, unable to find a perfect match for every role so we will continue to work towards finding good VAs for those roles while we prepare for the start of the project. We appreciate all the support we have been given and wish everyone a nice night.

Casting Call Closed
As of ten minutes ago, the casting call is officially closed. We are blown away by the number and the quality of the auditions, and will be casting in the very near future. Thank you to everyone who has submitted an audition and to everyone who has watched over this project. -
Karen Role Has Been Added
Sorry for the sudden update, especially since this will be very late at night for many of you, but we have finally added the Karen role to the casting call and closed the Kaoruko role. Karen will be staying open until the end of the casting call, and we look forward to every audition we will receive for her part. We wish everyone a happy Sunday. -
Another Update
Sorry to post another update so soon, we received a dm on twitter asking if Trans Men are allowed to audition for Kirin and they absolutely are allowed to. I will restate that any trans person can audition for any role they want, including people who are non-binary as well. Our crew is 100% accepting to all transgender people and we will not be discriminating against anyone for their gender expression. If anyone has any further questions you may dm us on twitter or comment down here. We will be glad to answer any concerns about the project. -
Updates
We appreciate all the support we have received so far. To everyone who has already auditioned, we finally started commenting on auditions of people who we want to see try other roles. If you did not get a comment please do not feel badly, it just means that we did not see the need to request you to do another role at the moment. However, anyone who has already auditioned is free to audition for any other role as well. And to those who did receive comments, if you do not wish to record for the character that has been requested or do not have the time to do so we completely understand. In addition, we ask future auditioners to please list your preference as to which character you would prefer to be cast as the most, while most castings will be pretty decisive decisions once it comes time to cast we still want to take your opinions into consideration. In addition, the main director has decided to close the role of Kaoruko at the end of the week. This is because the director wants to take on the role herself. The Karen role will also be opened at the end of the week for auditions. Anyone who has already auditioned is free to audition for the Karen role once it opens. Thank you for reading this and we hope you have a nice rest of your weekend.
The official website describes Karen as "An enthusiastic Stage Girl who was captivated by the revue "Starlight" she saw as a young child. Although she's always in a good mood, she's not so good at early morning lessons. She participates in mysterious revues with Hikari, whom she's been friends with since a young age."
Karen falls under the role of the game's protagonist, and like many other protagonists is kind, bubbly and has a sunny disposition. She also can tend to be a bit clumsy and ditzy as well, and she cares deeply about her classmates, especially Hikari. However, Karen is slightly different than the traditional protagonist in the manner in that she does not act ignorant, she understands the cruel and competitive nature of the world she is in and chooses to act bright despite it. Her motivation comes from her ability and insistence on moving forward and overcoming the unfair odds of the world she is in, and this plays quite a bit into how she acts during more emotional scenes.
Since Karen is the main role, and will get a lot of lines, we are hoping to find someone for the role who can portray Karen's emotional range. Karen's voice is also high mid-tone like many other characters of her archetype.
(Karen is trying, and failing to come up with a good introduction)
Okay, my turn... I'm Karen Aijo from Seisho Music Academy! Er... I don't know what to write next! It's so hard! How do I talk about my moderation1? Motivatoin, huh... okay!
(Karen finally comes up with her self introduction)
I'm Karen Aijo from Seisho Music Academy. I'm super excited about the play! Stage girls get better day by day! We're going to put on a show full of brilliance!
(Karen is (passionately) upset as Mahiru has just told them that Class B has forgotten about Starlight)
But, how could they forget about "Starlight"1? It's an important play for Group B, too
(Elle has just told the group that they would have to fight in more revues in order to save Starlight, she speaks very passionately and is very determined)
I'll do it. I won't let "Starlight" be forgotten, no matter what! It's our "Starlight," after all!
The official website describes her as "Friends with Karen since childhood, She studied abroad at an English performance school. She is a natural performer. She was moved by the revue "Starlight", which she saw as a child with Karen. Since meeting with Karen again, she is driven by something to participate in the mysterious revues."
She is from Seisho Academy and appeared in the anime, and she is a pretty major role in the series. Her voice is generally very calm and monotone, However, she does show some emotion on occasion and can be quite stern and harsh at times.
(Hikari is creating a self introduction for the Performance Festival)
I'm Hikari Kagura. Inspired by 'Starlight', which I saw as a child, I'm aiming to become a star myself. I feel honored to be chosen for the Performance Festival."
(Exacerbated by Karen's wild behavior)
Ah, Karen! She doesn't hesitate, thats for sure.
(Impressed)
Your dance steps are improving Karen.
(Determined)
This is just the beginning.
The official website describes her as "A Stage Girl who performs with great energy on the stage, but is somewhat withdrawn otherwise. Mahiru is roommates with Karen and admires her positivity and energy, but ever since Karen's friend Hikari returned, she's felt torn..."
Mahiru is a very sweet and kind girl who looks up to Karen. Her voice is very soft and sweet.
(Mahiru is reading her self introduction for the Performance Festival)
I'm Mahiru Tsuyuzaki from Seisho Music Academy. I was really suprised to be chosen for the National Student Drama Performance Festival. I promise to do my best!
(The girls have just found out that they are being forced to participate in the auditions again)
I never want to have to fight my friends for brilliance again!
(Context for this line is self explanatory)
Oh, by the way! Karen-chan, I steamed some sweet potatoes my parents sent me, want one?
The official website describes her as "Has a Japanese father and a French mother. Highly skilled, she has often performed on stage since she was a young child. However, since joining Seisho Academy, the powerful presence of Maya has formed into something of a rival for Claudine."
She is a top student at Seisho academy, second to Maya, and seeks to outdo Maya and become the best in their class.
Her voice is about medium range with hints of pretentiousness. Claudine also speaks fluent French and has a tendency to say French words and phrases in her lines, so we request that anyone auditioning for Claudine have some knowledge of French, we do not require you to speak the language or be fluent but we want you to be able to pronounce any French terms she uses correctly.
(Claudine is reading her self introduction for the Performance Festival)
Bonjour! Je suis Claudine Saijo. I've been chosen to represent Seisho Music Academy for the second consecutive year. I will deleiver top-class entertainment, making use of my abilities cultivated through many years of experience as a child actress.
(Determined)
I won't be outdone by Maya Tendo.
(Having just found out her and Maya are trapped in the Rehearsal room)
Ca m'embete! How can you be so calm?!
(Disappointed)
*sigh* That's really inopportune timing.
The official website describes her as "The child of a famous stage actor and a prima donna. She has a strong build and a powerful voice. In spite of her ability, she never rests easy, and is always aiming to shoot higher."
Maya is the top student at Seisho academy and has a very powerful voice to back it up, most of the time speaking in a stern tone of voice. Her voice is medium deep and can be harsh when necessary but can also be kind and considerate of her classmates. She walks with an air of refinement and we want to be able to see that portrayed.
(Maya is reading her self introduction for the Performance Festival)
My name is Maya Tendo. Year to year, day to day, I strive to shine ever brighter as a star.
(Offering Claudine some sweets)
Voila! Please have some, Saijo-san. It's easy to become irritated when you're hungry.
(Kaoruko commented that she and Claudine are close and Claudine has just strongly denied it, spoken somewhat deviously)
Why, don't we?
(Determined)
There's no time to waste.
The official website describes her as "An honor student who is the oldest in her class and also serves as the class representative. Although she has excellent judgment, she tends to overthink. She wanted to become a Stage Girl in spite of her parents' objections, and she often struggles with worries over her skills compared to Maya and the others."
Junna is a very studious honor student. Her voice is medium high range.
(Junna is reading her self introduction for the Performance Festival)
Greetings I'm Junna Hoshimi, class representative and a second-year Group A student at Seisho Music Academy. There is a quote dear to my heart, which has guided me in my stage arts aspirations. The quote is 'Be prepared. An opportunity will eventually present itself,' by William Shakespeare. With this quote in mind, I've been working hard every day, and the culmination of my efforts is this year's National Student Drama Performance Festival. That I am part of this brilliant performance is proof that my endeavors have led me in the right direction...
(After having been told that her intro is far too long, deliberating how to shorten it)
Ugh... It's still too long... Maybe I can shorten this...No, I should remove this bit
The official website describes her as "A warm and caring Stage Girl who is often thought of as the mother of the 99th class. Her nickname is "Banana". In addition to dancing and singing, she has great ability in stage production as well. "Starlight", which her class performed when she was a 1st year, is still her favorite."
Nana is the older sister like stage girl who looks out for the other girls. Her voice is very sweet and caring, but also a little bit mature like an older sister figure.
(Nana is reading her self introduction for the Performance Festival)
I'm Nana Daiba from Seisho Music Academy. This year, nine Seisho Academy students have been chosen for the festival! I hope everything goes well and we can put on a wonderful show.
(Having just heard Junna's absurdly long intro)
Uh, Junna-chan. Isn't that way over the word limit?
(Nana is getting acquainted with some of the girls from the other schools)
You can call me Banana. I like that nickname.
The official website describes her as "Childhood friends with Kaoruko who is always seen together with her, and a bit of a noncomformist. Despite her rough words she is very kind and cares greatly for Kaoruko. She has a small build but is very athletic, and is great at fight scenes on stage, perhaps in preparation for the real thing."
Futaba is a very boyish stage girl who is very close to Kaoruko and is the responsible side of their duo. She has a pretty deep (and fierce) voice and tends to yell a lot (mainly at Kaoruko).
(Futaba is describing her self introduction for the Performance Festival)
All I wrote was "I'm Futaba Isurugi. It's my first time in the Performance Festival. I'll do my best!"
(Junna has just told her she is very positive, she is somewhat surprised by this)
Am I? Kaoruko used to be super contrary, so I had no choice but to counter that with a can-do attitude.
(Yelling at Kaoruko)
Kaoruko! Hurry up, Kaoruko!
(Aruru just called her tiny, somewhat self explanatory)
Don't call me tiny!
The official website describes her as "Belonging to a family that practices traditional Japanese dance, she has great singing and dancing ability on the stage. A bit of a princess, she relies on Futaba for nearly everything in her life. Her smile belies her calculating nature."
Kaoruko is a somewhat bratty and lazy stage girl who comes from a proud traditional family. Her voice is somewhat high pitched and incredibly nasally. Most of her lines consist of her complaining, her being arrogant, or her being proud.
This role is the one we are the most concerned about filling, however if no one can fill it we will open up Karen instead.
(Context: Kaoruko is stating what her self introduction will be for the Performance Festival)
I'm Kaoruko Hanayagi of the Senka-ryu School of traditional Japanese dance. I hope you enjoy the play I will be staring in.
(Futuba just asked to hold her hand at the train station platform so that they don't separate)
That's embarrassing! I'm not a child! But if you really insist, I guess I can do it for you. There.
(After being told they have to compete in the auditions again. Said very harshly and proudly.)
I refuse.
(After she and Tamao have recognized each other. Tamao has asked her to step down and not participate in the Revue so that she doesn't have to fight her. Said very brutally and proudly, similar tone to the line before.)
You'll never be a top star. You're the one who should drop out of these audition right now. You have some nerve telling me to quite while you won't do the same. Well, good luck in the next audition, I guess. Everyone's counting on you, after all.
The official website describes her as "Kind to everyone. Holds her school's ideals of strength, kindness, and beauty close to her heart. Her mother and grandmother also attended Rinmeikan Girls School, so her love for her school is perhaps stronger than anyone else's."
Tamao is very kind and courteous of everyone. She speaks in a very polite tone and has a medium range voice.
(Tamao is introducing herself to the Seisho girls)
I am Tamao Tomoe, second year student from Rinmeikan Girls school. Come rain or wind, we will keep our glimmer of hope alive and kindle it into a sparking glow. I will protect our precious place!
(Rui has massively complemented Tamao and she overhears it)
Rui-chan... please stop, this is getting embarrassing!
(After she has recognized Kaoruko, Tomao approaches her and is asking her to not participate in the revue)
Hanayagi-san, can I ask you a favor? Please, could you not participate in the next audition? I... don't want to have to fight you.
She is described by the official website as "Has a lively personality and is a bit of a troublemaker. She doesn't think about things too deeply, but has a positive personality which motivates those around her. She wanted to become an idol when she was in junior high school, and has confidence in her dancing and singing ability. Is great friends with Fumi and frequently gets into fights with her."
Ichie is a very positive and upbeat girl. She has a medium high tone.
(Tamao is worried that they are gonna be late to school, Ichie is trying to reassure her and speaks with a upbeat tone)
Don't sweat it! According to my calculations, we've got five more minutes before we have to hurry.
(Self Explanatory)
Good morning, Tamao!
(Rui is trying to convince Fumi to join their group, and by convincing I mean begging)
Pretty please! Please please please!
(This quote is self explanatory, Rui went to go challenge Koaruko and Futuba to a battle, Ichie and Tamao have just found her, she appears to be concerned)
What are you doing here, Rui? You left without saying anything.
She is described by the official website as "Although she was a top performing student at Siegfeld Institute of Music, she transferred to Rinmeikan Girls School due to certain reasons. She's known to be very meddlesome, even if she denies it. Her favorite flavor of food is ponzu."
Fumi is the serious member of the Rinmeikan group, her voice is medium high and has a somewhat pretentious and nasally tone. She tends to scold the other girls a lot as well.
(Scolding the other girls at practice)
What have you been doing all this time? Have you ever actually practiced!?
(Ichie is asking her to join their group, said as a statement but somewhat brutally)
I'm in the General Education Department. I'm no longer interested in acting or rehearsals.
(From later in the same conversation as the last line, Ichie has just said she'll cover for her if she messes up, she is somewhat shocked but in a good way)
You'll... cover for me?
(Rinmeikan has just been defeated)
Hey, cut it out! Don't be nasty just because you won!
She is described by the official website as "Infatuated with Tamao's performance, she decided to become a Stage Girl when she was in junior high school. Although she had stage fright and was weak to pressure,
she's getting better thanks to her practice with Tamao. Looks up greatly to Tamao."
Rui has a medium deep range but we will also accept a deeper ranged voice as well and often speaks with a stern tone of voice. As she is very in love with Tamao, Rui's actress should be able to portray the passion and love that Rui has for Tamao.
(Telling Yuyuko about her feelings about Tamao, starts off sort of surprised but gets more and more passionate as she goes on)
Wha-- It's not just love! You see, Tamao-senpai has been training to become a star performer ever since she was little. Even Hanayagi-sensei, the special guest instructor for Japanese dance, showered her with praise! And being able to watch our amazing Tamao-senpai up close is just... incredible! I thank the gods of the stage for granting me this rare opportunity!
(Rui is confronting Futaba and Kaoruko after Kaoruko has upset Tamao, in this scene she is very headstrong)
I... challenge you... I said, I challenge you.
(From later in the same scene as the last line, spoken passionately)
You have no idea how agonizing it is for Tamao - senpai! That's why she said what she did to you!
She is described by the official website as "Often staying up late and sleeping in, she always looks sleepy.
She doesn't like others to see her working hard, and so she tends to practice in secret. She's fond of traditional Japanese theater, and her music player is full of rakugo performances."
Yuyuko is a very sleepy and lazy stage girl. Her voice is in the medium range and she speaks very slowly, as if she has constantly woken up from a nap. However, she still needs to be able to show emotion, especially annoyance.
*yawn* Good morning...
(The gang sees a group gathered around a sign in the courtyard in the school, they are speculating what it could be, Yuyuko's responce is pretty strange but she states it as if it is normal)
Maybe a kawaraban seller's here with woodblock newspapers
(Soon after Fumi has started giving the girls intense training, Yuyuko is walking to school the next morning and is upset about being more tired than normal)
*yawn* Ugh, the morning sun is blindingly bright. And I'm sore all over... This never happened after our usual practice. Is this what my life's going to be like from now on?
She is described by the official website as "A Stage Girl who is always smiling and full of energy. She has an extremely positive disposition and doesn't let anything get her down. She had no experience with performance
before joining Frontier School of Arts, but she grew quickly thanks to her focus and ability to move those around her. Considers herself to be extremely lucky."
Aruru is a very excitable and upbeat girl. Despite that, she has just a medium range voice. We hope that whoever plays Aruru will be able to convey her near constant excitement and naivety.
( Aruru is introducing herself to the Seisho girls)
I'm Aruru Otsuki, first year student at the Frontier School of Arts! I'm here to explore a new world of happiness with vast horizons of the stage and yet unseen smiles! A new wind brings a breath of fresh air! It's showtime!
(After having seen the Seisho girls compete in a revue, is complimenting Futaba)
Oh, and you were especially great! You're so tiny but you've got this huge presence on stage. It was just amazing!
(Self explanatory, she is disappointed) No, wait! We were going to perform our play!
She is described by the official website as "Aruru's friend since childhood, and perhaps the one who understands her the most. She was raised in a family that ran a performance troupe, and so she has a close relationship with the stage. Having dealt with Aruru's recklessness on countless occasions, she can put up with a great amount of stress, both physically and mentally. She eats quite a lot, which often surprises those around her."
Misora is Aruru's childhood friend who is responsible for reigning in Aruru and her irresponsible tendencies. Her voice is medium but medium deep voices work as well. She is somewhat boyish, but not the the same extent as Futuba.
( Misora is introducing herself to the Seisho girls)
Misora Kano, first-year Stage Expression Course student at Frontier School of the Arts. I'm sure Aruru has been saying all sorts of tactless things to you. Sorry about her!
(Misora has just arrived late to the revue and is apologizing)
Sorry, sorry! I had to help out with the Performance Festival preparations.
(Misora is mad at Aruru for signing her up for S-con suddenly)
Whose fault do you think it is that I'm sulking? I've even lost my appetite because of it... *munch munch*
The official website describes her as "An innocent Stage Girl who has been a model and actor since childhood. Since joining Frontier School of Arts, she's become infatuated with the stage and enjoys her lessons. Having practiced rhythmic gymnastics, she has an athletic body and is great at performing dynamic actions. She also is quite a fan of anime, manga, and tokusatsu hero shows."
Lalafin is a very small and childish stage girl. She has a medium-high to high range and should be able to express a range of emotions, primarily excitement and annoyance.
(Introducing herself to the Seisho girls, said somewhat enthusiastically)
Lalafin Nonomiya, second-year Stage Expression Course student at Frontier School of Arts. Nice to meet you!
(Lalafin was just kicked out of her group for S-con for being too good, shes somewhat dejected, sort of a "not again" attitude)
*sigh* Got kicked out again. How many times has it been now?
(she just got dragged into the revue against her will, very annoyed, sort of a "what now" attitude)
Whaaat!? Why now?
The official website describes her as "Although she may not look serious, her ability on stage is undeniable and comparable to Shizuha's. She cares for her friends more than anyone. Having been raised in a very strict household, she enjoys her new freedom in dorm life to wear and eat what she wants."
Tsukasa is the very hip and chill stage girl who can get serious when she needs to, an opposite to the childish Lalafin. Her voice is medium ranged and is very casual but also needs to be able to express anger.
(Introducing herself to the Seisho girls, said casually, after Lalafin and Aruru's introductions)
And I'm Tsukasa Ebisu, also a second-year in the Stage Expression Course.
(Lalafin asked her to join their group, Tsukasa is very annoyed)
Lalafin, you know I can't perform due to a foot injury, right?
(From the same conversation as the last line with a similar annoyed tone, in responce to "isn't it healed by now?")
No, its still far from healed. Now, if you'll excuse me. Oww, my poor foot...
(Angry, she just got dragged into a revue against her will)
What's going on...!?
The official website describes her as "A Stage Girl with a deep caring for others and a warm smile. Having attracted a lot of attention for her style and performance ability since junior high school, she is the face of Frontier School of Arts' Stage Expression Course. She puts a lot of care into health, and often treats others to her homemade health drink, but to say it is unpopular would be putting it lightly."
Shizuha is a very kind and mature stage girl. She is very much like a mother figure and speaks in a medium range. She is very kind but also has streaks of deviousness, very much fits the typical sexy older woman voice type.
(Introducing herself to the Seisho girls)
I haven't introduced myself yet, have I? I'm Shizuha Kocho, second-year Stage Expression Course student at Frontier School of the Arts. Its a pleasure to meet you!
(Shizuha is talking to Aruru and Misora for the first time so she speaks very politely)
Mind if I sit here?
(From the same conversation as before and in a similar tone, in response to "feel free to join us")
Heh, thank you. Sorry to interrupt. Are you the first years taking part in the S-Con?
(Again in the same conversation as before with the same tone, in response to "that's us, how did you know")
"I'm on the S-Con committee. I got curious when I heard that first-years signed up.
The official website describes her as "A Stage Girl who's said to be the greatest genius in Siegfeld Institute of Music's history. She always keeps cool and does not compromise, which often creates friction with those around her, but her ability generally ensures others see things her way."
Akira is a very proud and regal stage girl who constantly exudes an aura of excellence. She has a somewhat deep tone and always talks sternly and proudly at almost all times and tends to be somewhat cold to most of the people she meets. However, while we haven't seen a lot of this yet, theres a vulnerable side to her as well. However, most of the lines will be the normal proud and pompous Akira that we are shown, so we feel like that tone is more important to be able to portray than her shy side.
(Introducing herself to the Seisho girls)
Akira Yukishiro, second year student of the Siegfeld Institute of Music Acting Department. The lights shining on me are reflected in a royal platinum glow! My radiance will make all others a thing of the past!
(Impressed, but also somewhat egotistical, she's complimenting Shiori)
Yes, that's it. You've improved a lot in the last few days.
(Spoken very seriously and sternly)
Save your speeches for when you're on stage. The curtain has already come down.
(In response to Michiru scolding her, spoken very hesitantly and somewhat timidly)
That... Well, that's true, but...
The official website describes her as "A Stage Girl who often helps Akira. Although her singing, dancing, and performance abilities are said to rival Akira's, she's at least as focused on the growth of Akira and the others as she is on becoming a Top Star.Very sociable, she has a lot of fans in her school."
Michiru is a very complicated character. On the outside she seems sweet and friendly, she gets along well with others in speaks in an upbeat tone. However, this is all an act, Michiru is actually cold, ruthless and willing to do whatever it takes to get her and Akira on top. This is relevant because Michiru tends to speak positively most of the time, but sometimes hidden within these positive statements are some statements with undertones of cruelty. An actress for Michiru should be able to portray both of these qualities. Her tone of voice is generally high to medium high.
(spoken with a friendly tone, but a bit devious)
Looks like you're a bit unsteady on your feet after that landing! Hah!
(Michiru and Akira are walking outside the school and notice some girls complimenting them, Akira is acting cold towards them, also spoken with a friendly and upbeat tone)
They're talking about us. Why don't you stop by for a chat with them, Akira?
(Michiru is in private berating Akira for not being nice enough to Shiori, she is very harshly scolding her in a manner that greatly contrasts how she is seen in previous scenes)
I gave you a natural way to set up a chance to talk about it on the day she joined us, but you didn't even notice! All you had to do was play and engage with her! I need Shiroi for my future plays! What are you going to do if she quits!?
She is described on the official website as "An exchange student from China. Often performed as a child in her home country. She has good manners and great respect for the older students, but considers Akira to be an obstacle to surpass. She likes telling fortunes, but always gives bad ones that tend to come true, making the others refuse her offers of divination."
Mei Fan is a exchange student from China who is obsessed with surpassing Akira. She tends to speak very confidently and seriously but can often change in tone if she is teased by Yachiyo or talking about her one-sided rivalry with Akira. She has a deep to medium deep tone of voice.
(Spoken somewhat confidently, the context is self explanatory)
We finally get to face Seisho Music Academy!
(From while the Siegfeld girls are practicing, Mei Fan is admiring Akira's skills)
Akira-san is really extraordinary.
(From later in the same scene as the last line, Mei Fan is trying to challenge Akira to see if she can beat her, spoken very confidently)
I'm sorry to butt in, but I want to challenge you in a dance!
(From even later in the same scene, Mei Fan has lost, she is somewhat in awe of Akira's ability)
... Akira san. I admit defeat.
She is described on the official website as "Although she used to be unable to join long lessons due to her frail body, she's overcome her challenge with growth and is now a standout Stage Girl. She can be considered to have a lot of common sense compared to the other quirky girls of Siegfeld, and often appears wise because of that. Her older sister Fumi transferred schools without telling her why, and Shiori feels somewhat reserved about having been left behind."
Shiori is a very weak and shy stage girl. She speaks with a very timid tone of voice, but also tends to be very determined as well. She also tends to get very uncomfortable when the subject of her sister comes up. Her voice is medium to high.
(She has just realized that she has earned the role of Frau Jade, Spoken somewhat shyly but also proudly and happily)
I'm... Frau Jade...
(Shiori has just recongized Fumi in the revue, spoken somewhat somberly)
Fumi...
(The other girls are talking about her sister and Shiori is not happy being compared to her, spoken somewhat sadly but also somewhat confidently and very resolutly)
I, um... I don't like being compared to my sister. If you can, please judge me for who I am, not in comparison to my sister.
(Shiori is practicing and is frustrated at her lack of progress, she speaks somewhat sadly but also is also somewhat determined)
Here I go... like this! And follow up with a pique turn.. ahh! *huff*...*huff*... That's not good enough... I have to be able to do better or I'll be holding everyone back...Ngh... One more time...
She is described on the official website as "A Stage Girl who doesn't show her true self often and can be difficult to grasp. Often making fun of others, Akira and Mei Fan frequently get mad at her. She is skilled at sewing, and her dream is to become a Top Star and perform on stage in a costume that she made."
Yahciyo is a very mysterious stage girl. Most of the time she can be very proud and devious, but also has streaks of seriousness as well. She has a medium tone of voice, and she is somewhat mature as well.
(The Siegfeld girls have just defeated the Rinmeikan girls, spoken very proudly )
I was looking forward to this, but it was a little underwhelming. To be honest, I was worried about you, Fumi-san. Shiori was as well, of course.
(Teasing Shiori after Mei Fan has challenged Akira during when Akira was practicing with Shiori, spoken very deviously)
Shiori, looks she stole Akira from under your nose! What will you do?
(Yachiyo is writing a report on the other Siegfeld girls for the school board, spoken very seriously and somewhat pensively)
Although on the surface she's a loyal follower of Akira, I suspect that behind the scenes, Michiru has the upper hand over her.
She is described on the official website as "A girl who invites Karen and the other Stage Girls to revues.
She speaks very little and rarely shows her emotions."
Elle is the mysterious woman who watches over the revues in Re:Live with the Giraffe. She speaks very seriously and the vast majority of her lines are monotone, although she does show some emotion in later scenes in the story. Her voice is medium to medium deep.
(All of her lines are spoken in monotone)
But you are already here... on the stage.
I am Elle. Shall we begin?
It appears that preparations for the next etude are complete.
The only male character in the series, the giraffe is the mysterious entity that watches over all of the revues, both in the game and in the anime. He speaks with a very deep tone of voice and does not show any real emotion. He also serves to narrate the story.
(Like Elle, All of his lines are spoken in Monotone)
A spellbinding performance conjured out of song and dance... A Revue. The Stage Girls whose Revues outshine all others in this audition... Will be on the path to become top stars.
