Hello! Welcome to the Resident Evil 7 Abridged Casting Call! This is my first ever Casting Call so apologies if something looks off or weird. Anyway...
Who am I?
I am a small YouTuber/Voice Actor who goes by MrKlassic. I usually refer to myself via username Vladrome. I have made some of my own videos and am aspiring to rise further and beyond just someone with a tiny following. I believe that I'm have a decent voice and am good enough at acting to play characters a bit believably and to do good impressions.
What is this project?
This project is a comedic re-writing and re-dub of the 2017 game Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Essentially, the script will be re-written and dubbed to depict more comedy and hijinks rather than the horror and serious results of the original game. For example, say this character is sullen and sad but in the abridged he's upbeat and wild. Keep in mind that this is a non-profit fan made project. There is no money involved and is created purely to have fun and make something humorous.
How will this project be structured?
Every episode until the end of the series (I hope) will be structured in videos that will range from 10-15 minutes in range. Every single character except the main protagonist will have a voice (sorry Ethan impressionists) for plot reasons. The story of this abridged is still a WIP as I'll be writing it while the casting call is up and onwards. The release date for each episode will be discussed later on during the project. Each video will also be posted on my YouTube channel.
Rules and Requirements for this project:
- Please please PLEASE have a decent microphone. I'm not asking for XLR Hollywood studio levels of quality, just something that is easy to listen to without any background noise and static. Anything microphone (USB, XLR, you name it) goes as long as your audio quality is easy on the ears.
- Please be sociable and easy to reach out to/communicate with. For this project, we will be using Discord to communicate and discuss as well as send voice lines and to read the scripts I send. Make sure to spare yourself some time when needed to to record lines. There will be a deadline to get lines in when the script of a new episode is finished. If possible, make sure to submit them before the deadline as that will be easier for me and everyone else involved. If you're late and busy, it's fine as long as it isn't super absurdly late. If you don't feel like you'll be able to hand in the audition on time, please message me to tell me. We'll work something out.
- Make sure your acting chops are up. You will have to portray some level of emotion after all.
- Have fun! Please do. I want this to be something that me, you and others can laugh at and have fun with.
- You have to be okay with the source material. The project will contain swearing, blood, violence, gore, and horror. If you aren't okay with such things, then the project isn't for you.

Mia Winters is one of the main characters of Resident Evil 7. She is Ethan's wife that has been missing for 3 years until a message tells Ethan to pick her up from the Baker farm reaches Ethan. She is also an agent of The Connections, an organization responsible for creating Eveline, a B.O.W. that infects people with a special type of mold and drives them insane, who is the main villain of Resident Evil 7.
For her voice, I want to hear someone who can sound annoyed but also terrified and confused as she'll constantly bring up Ethan not wanting to talk very annoyingly. She'll also have a lot of scenes where she's in danger, affected or can't remember something so yeah. Go wild and try your best.

(Exhaustingly, as in just woke up) "Ethan... Ethan? You shouldn't be here. (Slightly panicked and confused) No, No I wouldn't...! Did I?"
(Confidently) "Ok Evie. Where are you?"
(Terrified) "ETHAN HELP!"
Eveline is the main villain of Resident Evil 7 as she is responsible for turning the Bakers into psychos, creating the molded and being the main cause behind a lot of the bad stuff that happens in the game. Her goal is to get a family, who she sees in Ethan and Mia Winters and she will go to great lengths for that. She is a genetically-modified human who has powers like mind control, mold creation and such.
For her voice, I need a child-like voice. Something that could be seen as innocent and young but also bratty and sort of creepy.

(Bratty and impatient) "I don't want to live in the lab anymore, I want a house!"
(Scared and demanding) "NO! Get that away from me!"
(Angry and demanding) "Give me back my family!"
Jack Baker is the father of the Baker household and one of the main enemies of the game. Acting as a sort of Nemesis-esque stalker up until a certain point in the game, he pursues Ethan in an attempt to kill him under Eveline's influence.
For Jack, I want to hear a sort of southern styled voice (Game does take place in Dulvey, Louisiana after all) where he can sound intimidating and hard at times but also wild and insane, like he's truly under control.

(Eager) "The boy's got to eat! He got to have his supper! (Seething with anger) This was supposed to be a very special feast."
(Ecstatic while also slightly bonkers) "My lil' girl has given us a gift. And this gift is with me always. As you can see, the family is only part of her gift. Which, in a word means... (small crazed laugh) You're FUCKED!" (extra oomph to the "fucked")
(Sane and relaxed) "Ethan... hey shhh shhh shhh I know I know, I know... I'm not gonna hurt you. Hell, I'd never would have if I coulda helped it. I'm no killer, son. Neither is Marguerite, nor my boy Lucas, or even Zoe here."
Marguerite Baker is the mother of the Baker household and another important enemy in Resident Evil 7. She used to be a normal housewife for the Bakers until Eveline came and infected her with "the gift." Now she is a horrific bug lady who at one point in the game stalks and pursues Ethan in order to kill him.
For Marguerite, I want to hear a southern woman who can pull off being sweet and nice as well as venomous and terrifying as if she were crazed.

(Pissed) "There's no way out of there, missy!"
(Sweetly) "Eat it... it's good..."
(Disappointed) "You just don't understand? Or is it that you just don't care?"
Lucas Baker is the psycho son of the Baker household who was already a rather unstable and deranged person made even worse with Eveline's gift. He serves as one of the side enemies of Resident Evil 7 and the main villain of the Not a Hero DLC. He forces his victims to go through Saw-like torture games with the promise of escape only to murder them with said games.
For Lucas, I would like a really crazy hillbilly-esque accent while also having a young feel as he's probably in his early 20s. Be capable of pulling off an intimidatingly crazy feel.

(Informatively) "I know. Fucking passwords, right? Hmmm... why don't you try... 0814? (Urgently) NONONonono! 06... 21! No no no No No, it's 0514. Well, c'mon! Take a chance, you never know!"
(Excitedly) "Alright... whaddaya say we play a little game?"
(Eager and hyped) "Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls. Welcome to the BARRRRRNNNNNN FIIIIIIIIGGGGHHHHTTTT!!!"
Zoe Baker is the daughter of the Baker household and one of the supporting characters of Resident Evil 7. The only Baker to not go completely nuts, Zoe stays in contact with Ethan on his journey by calling him occasionally to tell him what he needs to do next. They meet briefly about a good portion into the game where Ethan has to choose to give the serum to either Mia or Zoe. Mia is the canonical choice so she's chosen while Zoe is left behind, with no more screen-time up until the End of Zoe DLC
For Zoe, she needs to have a young southern woman voice that's more country while being a bit more serious and detailed.

(Serious) "You really shouldn't have come here. My name's Zoe. There should be a way out through the attic. Go there. NOW."
(Serious) "My family and I, our bodies are contaminated. I can't leave the property unless I get it out. Same goes for Mia."
(Heartbroken) "It's fine. It was foolish thinking I could escape. (Upset, rising in tone) Don't bother! There won't be anyone left to help!" (make the last line louder)
Andre is a very minor character who appears on a VHS tape in Resident Evil 7. Part of an internet ghost sightings crew called Sewer Gators, he explores the supposedly abandoned Baker household with host Pete and cameraman Clancy where he is killed alongside Pete.
For him, I need a simple North American accent, kind of like how a narrator for a gameshow would sound but a bit younger. Also give him a sort of "I can't be paid to give a fuck" tone when talking.

(Annoyed) "Give me a break, Pete..."
(Casual and tiring) "Abandoned farm house, missing family, foul play suspected. The usual..."
(Reminding) "Not hillbillies, The Bakers. Jack and Marguerite Baker. And they were quiet, not backward."
The Deputy is a very minor character that appears early on in the game who gets killed by Jack Baker after giving Ethan a knife.
For his voice, I need a sort of southern American accent while also being a bit deeper.

(Tense) "Hold on, back up..."
(Questioning) "Now, sir, do you live here? I mean, is this your property?"
(Panicked) "Hey, put that door back up! PUT THAT DOOR BACK UP!"
Alan is a very minor character who appears late in the game on a VHS tape during the boat section. He was Mia's partner during her time at The Connections who were both in charge of transporting and caring for Eveline. However, a violent hurricane screwed things up and Alan was infected while Eveline ran off around the boat killing and controlling more people. She later kills him by turning him into mold after he calls her a little bitch in retaliation.
For his voice, I need him to be more strained and struggling as he's holding on after Eveline's attack. His voice should be a bit deeper and such.
