Raising the Bar: Retail (STILL OPEN, LOOKING FOR AUDITIONS!)
Project Overview
Raising the Bar: Retail is an officially endorsed fanmade spinoff of the award winning Half-Life 2 mod Raising the Bar: Redux. This mod aims to put Raising the Bar: Redux into the Retail Half-Life 2 campaign.
You'll see RTB:R enemies, weapons, and environmental things put into the retail maps. The maps themselves are also edited to fit the RTB:R theming; like the skyboxes and the environmental lighting.
We won 10th place in ModDB Players Choice – Best Upcoming Mod 2024. We also have a very well recieved Division 1 release plus an update to that release and we are hard at work on our next release Division 2!

Dr. Eli Vance (Eli Maxwell) is an old grizzled scientist who is now leading earth's resistance movement against the totalitarian Combine alien regime. He escaped the Black Mesa research facility disaster and survived the 7 hour war; He’s now residing at his bunker called Black Mesa East where he continues his research in hopes that one day the Combine will be defeated. He’s very humble, caring, and welcoming to new folks and old friends. He’s often jaded by the past events he had to witness and is usually against taking risks especially when suggested by his colleagues. He’s very protective of his daughter Alyx Vance who he raised under Combine occupation and he’s commonly concerned about her whereabouts.

Average Joe’s of City 17, both female and male variants exist. They are very reserved and quiet in City 17 as to comply with Civil Protection however, once they flee the city and escape the Combine’s iron grip they have a noticeable sense of fight or flight and change in attitude.
