Project Monochroma (PJSK / Project SEKAI)

Althea is a very mellow and creative person, albeit sometimes too soft-spoken or quiet. However, when she's in her element, creating that is, she turns into a whole different person, becoming lots more outgoing and charismatic than usual.

Her singing voice should be soprano/mezzo-soprano, with a very airy, ethereal quality. Filipino singers/VAs are preferred (but not required) for this role.

Lex is a young adult with the goal of making a living off their honed talent. He tends to be a bit abrasive with how distrusting he is, having seen the ruthlessness of the entertainment industry. His tendency for biting sarcasm and dry wit doesn't help with his often negative impressions either. 

His voice should be a velvety, smooth tenor/counter-tenor voice. Filipino singers/VAs are preferred (but not required) for this role.

Marcela is a very optimistic and friendly person, albeit a bit of a wallflower. She always offers a kind smile and an understanding disposition for anyone who comes her way, but despite that, she only has one real friend, Sunny Martinez. It doesn't really help that she opts to take the same classes as Sunny whenever they can, and Sunny prefers to take online classes.

She will have a mezzo/alto voice.

Sunny is a very energetic person who used to be relatively mellow, but an accident while dancing resulted in a permanent leg injury, leaving them with lots of unused energy. Due to their injury, they tend to stay home and attend online classes, only leaving the house for social outings.

Their voice should be nasally or raspy, and can be of any vocal range. Both Filipino and Non-Binary singers/VAs are preferred (but not required) for this role. This singer/VA should be able to sing in Japanese.

Peregrine is a very chipper, outgoing girl who just moved from out of country to the district of Falis. She comes from a very tight-knit community where everyone knows each other, and her tendency to be friendly with everyone she meets seems to thrive in this new environment. She loves to play string instruments, particularly the violin and viola.

Her voice should be a soprano/mezzo-soprano.

Amias is a very withdrawn, shy person who'd rather read a book inside than go to a party or concert. When in a group setting, they tend to seem rather dazed and quiet, but when they're with familiar people or in one-on-one settings, they can get very vocal and (unintentionally) blunt. Their instruments of choice are the guitar and drums.

Their voice should be a full, supported alto, tenor, or bass, one that feels very grounded and down-to-earth.

Rosalinda is the founder and president of the Falis Orchestral Club, a small, amateur group of musicians who all play different orchestral instruments. She can oftentimes be ditzy or uncoordinated, but she maintains her role as president through her genuine, hardworking efforts to maintain a positive, music-loving community.

Her voice should be a warm, smooth alto/mezzo-soprano tone, reminiscent of classic jazz singers.

Ju-yeon is the vice-president of the Falis Orchestral Club, being the second member of the club. She used to be a pop artist, but retired from the spotlight and decided to rededicate herself to orchestral music. She likes to focus more on pushing herself and others for growth and learning, but her serious demeanor leads to coming off as harsh and judgmental at times.

Her voice should be a very bright and clear soprano with a more modern, pop-esque feel. This singer/VA should know how to sing in both Japanese and Korean.

Some of the covers for this project will need new arrangements so that the song can fit the group's style! The styles that will be focused on with these two groups will be:

• Electronic (ex: Imogen Heap, Porter Robinson, etc.)
• Lofi / Bedroom Pop or Indie rock (ex: Clairo, Crying City,  etc.)
• Orchestral or Orchestral-fusion (ex: Fish in a Birdcage, Sparkbird, Laufey, etc.)
• Singer-Songwriter or Indie Folk/Pop (ex: beabadoobee, Sushi Soucy, Elio Mei, Pheobe Bridgers, etc.)
