Project STELLAR S1B Recast

Project Overview

Hello!

Thank you for your interest in Project STELLAR. At this time, we have two open roles in the main cast that need filling, ADELAIDE MOREAU and DAHLIA PANDIT. Please read instructions carefully.

Series overview: Siblings Mike and Marie King are fresh out of school, ready for their usual run-of-the-mill summer vacation. However, close encounters of the freaky kind throw a wrench in their plans. Looks like they're not as alone in the universe as they thought.

If auditioning:

  • Looking for a VA who can provide quick turnaround on lines.
  • A minimum of one rehearsal per episode is required. The times these rehearsals are held at are based on your availability, and the duration is based on how heavily you are featured in an episode; we have a lot of fun during these, I promise.
  • Submit clean recordings.
  • Make sure your equipment can handle loud noises, and that you know how to navigate them. We love action scenes.
  • Multiple takes are welcome for this audition, but are limited to three per line.

If cast:

  • This is a volunteer project only! We're doing this for fun!
  • Rehearsals are held over Discord, so if you do not have one, please procure one!
  • There are deadlines for turning in lines. Please adhere to them.
  • Be patient with us, and we will be patient with you.

If you’re looking for a reference to what our show is like, you can find episodes on any podcast app, at the iTunes store, or at projectstellar.libsyn.com.

Though there are only two roles open at this time, we always hold auditions for new characters when they crop up (which they do. A lot.), so please do not be discouraged if you are not cast!

You can audition here, or email us your lines at [razethecurtain.prod @ gmail . com]. If the latter, please label lines with the character’s name, followed by your name or user handle (ex. Moreau_JaneDoe), and saved as in WAV format. Break a leg!

An agent of the Galactic Alliance of Unity, Security, and Exploration with a brisk attitude and an immense hatred for paperwork. Her milk run summer has been expertly derailed by a group of kids who are always in the wrong place at the wrong time. An unusually good shot who never misses her target, no matter what weapon is in her talented hands. Ever.

  • Well, la-di-da, look what we have here. A couple of snot-nosed brats who can’t seem to stay out of other people’s business. You know, I heard in one of our mandatory seminars that we have to be cordial in our dealings with civilians, but in case you can’t tell, I really, really don’t like civilians.

  • I didn’t ask to be assigned to this case, and I definitely didn’t ask to babysit. They’re your problem, not mine, so suck it up, call them back, and just…I don’t know, breathe through it or whatever you’re supposed to do. Break a few windows. That always helps.

  • Kid, there will always be cases like this. Cases that make your stomach churn, make you taste something foul. Cases that make the shadows crawl at night. That’s why you need to find that thing that keeps you sane. For him, it’s paperwork. For me, it’s the gym. For you…well, you need to find yours, and find it fast if you intend to keep up with us.

British-Indian. A prim, bossy sort of girl who is dead set on becoming the newest archaeologist addition to her family, as soon as she graduates this hellhole that is high school, and then college, and then grad school - as far as she's concerned, her future is set. Although many people see her as an ice queen, she does have one soft spot: her sweetheart, Eli. And that ragtag bunch of troublemakers he's started to run around with, of course.

  • No, dear, not that belt, it doesn't work with the dress. Trust me, this is not my first, ah, rodeo? It might be Rudi's party, but even I know better than to show up to one of his looking like a rag doll. Now, take this, and this, and...this, and go try it on - just do it.

  • Fine. Truce. But don't think for a second that I'm not wise to your game, Coen. We're not the same. I know why you're here, and I know what your kind do. I've made a home here, and I'll be damned if I have to start anew somewhere else so soon because of your little slip up.

  • No, actually. I think this is a stupid idea. A bad idea. Do you even know what you're getting into? From what the Kings have described about their earlier...encounters, it sounds pretty dangerous to me! This is our senior year, darling. We have college to think about, our futures. We can't afford this distraction.
