Project overview:

Poisonronpa is a semi-professional Danganronpa fan project that will be formatted in a visual-novel-like video series that will be fully voiced!

16 talented people across the world have been selected to play a life and death game. They woke up and found themselves trapped inside a game show in a mysterious yet luxurious hotel, all completely isolated from the outside world. They were then told that the last three remaining people will receive a huge reward and will be granted freedom. The only solution is to murder another participant and get away with it in a class trial that will be overseen by Kirami, the hotel’s head maid.

Project may include but not limited to:
- Depictions of blood, violence, gore, character death, and body horror

- Cursing, foul language, screaming and crying, ect.

- Discussions of deep mental struggles, abuse and heavy trauma

- So on, and so forth.


Auditions are expected to:

  • Auditions must be submitted in a AABBCC format.

  • This project is all made of passion! There will be no payment to be expected. (I’m just a student who enjoys writing aha..!)

  • It is preferred that people who audition are 16 and above, due to the sensitive contents of the project listed above and massive work load.

  • It is required to include your Discord handle with your audition, so that I have a means to communicate with you. Throughout the project, the main source of communication will be done over the official Discord server of the project. (+Other socials where we can reach when discord is unavailable and/or credit you when casted!) 

  • You’re allowed to audition as many characters as you’d like, but you’ll only get casted for one role.

  • Audio and microphone quality will play a large factor in casting. Please ensure that your recordings are as high quality as possible.

  • Since this series will be fully voiced, do expect A LOT of voice recording throughout this project. Additionally, this project will likely take a long time to produce, so please do not audition if you are not prepared to be in it for the long run, and record lots.

  • Voice Actors are expected to preferably be as active and passionate as possible! It takes a lot of time, effort and passion to be put into this project, so please make sure to give it your all!

  • Regarding the shortlistings and dismissals

    Hello, everybody!

    I'd just like to announce that we'll be starting the process of shortlisting+callbacks and dismissals auditions every Saturday starting on May 9th! Messages will be coming from @sylversions , @_.j_y and @.thekattzer (yes the periods are there) on discord. There will be certain roles or auditions that may not require callbacks, so if you do not hear from us within the next 2-3 days, assume the role you were shortlisted for isn’t one we need callbacks for.

    If your audition gets dismissed, don't fret! We've gotten a TON of incredible auditions that could be improved with the right feedback and direction, so if you'd like feedback to resubmit, feel free to contact the following 3 mentioned above, or even on our feedback channel on our discord server!

Character overview: Mika is sharp, composed, and relentlessly driven. She has a natural talent for leadership and thrives in high-pressure situations where logic and precision are key. She is rarely shaken and always thinking several steps ahead, she exudes a quiet confidence that others instinctively rely on.


Voice performance: Mika’s voice should be medium to low pitch and has a professional tone most of the time. However when irritated, she speaks in a rather brash and harsh manner, oftentimes emphasizing what she’s annoyed at in her lines.

Character overview: Cielo comes off as intense at first glance that always gives people the impression that he might stab someone. But they're just a tired gal who doesn’t have the energy to explain himself. She can be rebellious at times, but he’s still a nice person at heart.


Voice performance: Cielo has a low-pitched with a somewhat boy-ish tone into it. Majority of the time her lines are delivered in a blunt, tired and sarcastic manner, but never monotone. Oftentimes their speech pattern includes cursing on a regular basis. As this character will be the protagonist of this story, do expect a hectic lot of lines to work with!

Character overview: Valerie is always so elegantly wrapped in sweetness and gracefulness. She's the kind of person who is always so enthusiastic and optimistic no matter what. Her presence feels like something out of a dream where it's almost too perfect to be even real where it’s almost unbearable! 


Voice performance: She has a medium pitch as well as a soft tone to her voice. Her way of speaking is warm and welcoming, as if you’re already friends with her! We prefer to have a black VA for her role, but all auditions are welcome!

Character overview: Calm, dependable, and the kind of person people turn to without even realizing it. He never asks to be in charge, but somehow ends up carrying everyone else’s weight anyway. He’s the “mom-friend” as he is the one who checks if you’ve eaten, or notices when something’s off.


Voice performance: Ren has a medium-low pitch as well as being soft spoken while also somewhat raspy. The way he talks is rather calming and gentle, coming as composed. When taking lead or charge, his voice becomes stern and authoritative.

Character overview: She's gentle and sweet. She’s the kind of person who offers a cookie when you’re down, and bakes like there's nothing wrong going on. As the Ultimate Baker, her talent goes beyond precision; her pastries taste comfortable to the tongue, as if someone thought of you when they made them. She has a strong belief that kindness can overpower dark times, now I wonder how she'll react when she gets placed in a killing game.

Character overview: This one is always a little on edge when it comes to big groups. He’s a person who notices things others don’t, an observer more than anything other than guitaring. He’s anxious by nature and tends to overthink everything, which makes it hard for him to speak up or make quick decisions.


Voice performance: Evan has a medium pitch range along with a timid and bashful tone. The majority of his lines may be delivered in hesitance as he overthinks what he’d say to not make a fool out of himself. There will be times where he finally starts to open up and get comfortable with others, making him more lively and somewhat confident.

Voice performance: Iverson has a low pitch tone as he also speaks in a dry tone, coming off as exhausted, as if he's always tired, and somewhat gravelly. Additionally, he should occasionally come off as monotone or stern.

Character overview: Hana is full of spark—both literally and figuratively. She’s like a walking firecracker! Always down for chaos if it means things won’t be boring. Voice performance: Hana is very much like a firework, always so loud and energetic to keep things in spirit! She can be very mischievous and quite playful, though she may be hot headed. Any pitch is acceptable!

Character overview: For an eleven year old like him, he is energetic, loud, and always on the move. He loves building things just as much as he loves taking them apart. Quite mischievous, clever, and sometimes a bit of a troublemaker, but most of it is just a way to get attention, that's expected for a child like him. He wants to be seen, heard, and loved especially by the people he trusts. He's even rather loyal, even if he shows it in strange ways, and once someone earns his trust, he’ll protect them with everything he has.


Voice performance: Fuyrien has a medium to high pitch tone with a bunch of excitement and curiosity within him! He can be mischievous and troublesome at times, but that is to be expected from a child. Since Fuyrien is a child character, please do try to make him sound as youthful as you can! Additionally, he carries a lot of energy and emotion within his lines so range is important for this character!

Character overview: He's overly prideful and sharp-tongued, He's not the best at filtering his thoughts. He tends to say something cutting, realize it hit too hard, and then spend the next ten minutes awkwardly trying to apologize.


Voice performance: Bentley should have a medium-high pitch while also a loud, confident (ahem, cocky.) and energetic voice. Additionally, this character tends to be jumpy whenever frightened, so range is important for this role so expect a lot of yelling! Bentley is also a trans boy, so a trans VA is preferable, but all auditions are welcome!
