Hey everyone!
We are absolutely blown away by how many incredible auditions we've gotten for so many of our characters! We have nearly 900 submissions, and we didn't expect anything like that. Thank you all so much for taking such an interest in our project! We've been working on this project for years, so all of the comments people are giving about how cool they think the concept is are really encouraging.
So, obviously, the project only has a few hours left to go before the deadline, so we wanted to give everyone a quick update on our plans for the casting process.
We have already reached out to many of the voice actors for trailer roles and have done/will be doing callbacks with them as soon as possible. We may still reach out to a couple more in the next day or so. We plan to try to get those roles finalized in the next few days. Some roles (like Naldi and Lysa, especially) have gotten such an insane number of mind-bogglingly high-quality auditions that choosing just one is going to be an incredibly difficult task. There are many of you who absolutely killed your auditions that we aren't even going to be able to do a callback with, since there were just so many high-quality auditions. So, if you aren't chosen for the role or even a callback, just know that we only shortlisted a few candidates and are planning to do VERY FEW callbacks from this massive pool of amazingly talented VAs, so please don't feel bad at all. Everyone who auditioned deserves praise in my mind. Just putting yourself out there is quite a feat, and don't ever give up!! Seriously, you all are amazing!!
As for the non-trailer roles, we are planning on shifting our focus back to them once the trailer roles are all cast. So, if you auditioned for a non-trailer role and haven't heard back yet, that doesn't mean anything at this point. We have a much less strict deadline for those characters, so we haven't done much with them besides shortlisting some of our favorites. We will be reaching out to a few of our top choices for those characters soon. We're not sure exactly when this will be; it depends on how long finalizing our trailer roles takes, but I'd guess we'll really start digging into that later in the week or early next week.

Trailer characters will be cast in the next few days.
Non-trailer characters will be cast afterwards.

There are a few open characters who have been a little bit neglected (comparatively, at least), so now's your chance to audition for some less competitive roles!!
(Also, just wanted to shout out Marion for auditioning for the literal dog we added to the cast entirely as a joke. That was hilarious, and you're awesome!!)
