Open Female Role

Open Female Role

Project Overview

I don't usually pay VA's for my projects as I don't make anything from them.

However, I have decided to make an acceptation (and on one or two other occasions ;)

The role is Naoto Shirogane of Persona 4.

Naoto is often voiced by me, yes I'm a guy and I can do good female voices (much better than many people on here ahaha ;)

Just a few rules to go by:

1. Please have decent microphone quality. As little echo and background noise as possible.

2. Give lots of energy. Naoto is more serious than the other characters, but she's not boring at all

3. Be on time. Being late can negatively affect your pay. If you aren't going to make the deadline, please be sure to let me know. I give 3 weeks to record usually a page of lines, plenty of time!

4. Be respectful. Not only to me but to the other VA's. Try not to be negative.

5. Have fun! This project has been fun so far to make, and everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. So please have fun!

That's all! Looking forward to hearing your auditions! Good luck :)

Naoto was voiced by Valerie Arem in Persona Q, Ultimax and Dancing All Night.

Mary Elizabeth McGlynn in the Animation.

And someone else in all the other instalments who likes to remain a mystery.

All of Naoto's VA's voice her perfectly. So I'm not bothered on which VA you might wish to use for reference.

Or you can go for your own take!

Naoto struggled with being a girl in a job suited for men. So she presented herself as a young man in order to fit in.

This leads to Naoto speaking with a gender-neutral based voice. However, I'd lean slightly more towards a female sounding voice over a young boys'.

  • Yu-Senpai, on the count of three. I'd like you to pull open that door. Ready? 3...2...1, GO!

  • Rise-san, please scan the area with your Persona. This may not be the TV World, but...humour me.

  • Although, as I recall, supposedly there was one here once. I heard it from the principle before. But that would have been...hmm, probably when you were all still in grade school.
