Persona 5: The Animation - OVA / SP Fandub
Project Overview
As of writing this description, the Persona 5 Animation doesn't have any sort of English dub attached to it. However, this project isn't going to be a full dub of each singular episode (at least not yet!) and instead will be covering each individual OVA released for the animation. These will include:
- The Daybreakers
- Dark Sun (to be split into short episodes)
- Proof of Justice
- Stars and Ours (to be split into short episodes)
- A Magical Valentine's Day / A Tragic Valentine's Day
The list above is also the order I aim to release them in if this project gets underway, HOWEVER, it all depends on what people want to do. I don't mind to release them out of order, but in terms of chronological order, that's how it'd go.
I'd like to get some help with dubbing each of these episodes, mainly in terms of voice actors. As soon as we get closer to the deadline date, I'll be setting up a Discord server for better communication between all of us involved in the project (as well to just chat and have fun, ig, lmao), so keep on the lookout for that. Others may also join to observe and potentially contribute as well! Regardless, I will be taking care of the editing and uploading the finished dubs to my YouTube channel. I'll give all the cast credit in the description with whatever you wish me to promote, I'm fine with anything tbh This is purely for fun, so there'll be no payments, sorry, being a broke college student will do that to you lmao.
I don't expect every single part to go up by the end of the year, but if this actually ends up successful, then we'll give it a go as long as school doesn't kill my workload haha. If people are willing to help out in terms of the editing process or other admin stuff, then I'm more than happy to deploy some more responsibilities. There are some requirements that you'll have to follow during the audition process.
1. Make sure to give me 2-3 readings of each line. This just to make sure that you can interpret lines in different ways. I'll also need some emotion, so it doesn't sound like you're simply reading lines out. Adding in pauses or even additional lines is encouraged!
2. I'll need decent microphone quality. This one is vital, however as long as I can't hear any other background noise, then you're good to go. Audacity is great for eliminating white noise etc.
3. Make sure you're avaliable to submit lines when required. Whilst there won't necessarily be a due date for each OVA we cover, getting lines in on time is vital to getting the episodes out faster.
4. If you audition for a character (e.g. Ryuji, Ann, Akechi etc.) who appears throughout most, if not all, of the OVAs, then you must dedicate yourself to that role. However, if complications do arise within life or if you just aren't feeling the role, then you are absolutely free to leave that role to somebody else. In the case of this happening between production, a casting call will be set up for that one character, or multiple if it calls for it.
If there are any other questions, please feel free to ask me anything! I'm still open to changing this project around to benefit others. To cover the first question that will be asked, the role of Ren Amamiya/Joker will not be avaliable to audition for as I myself will be taking up that role. All characters who appear in these episodes will be up for grabs. Each role listed will display which episodes they appear in, so take that into consideration before making a choice. Mostly background characters won't be up for auditioning, instead, either myself or those involved will provide them.
If I've missed any characters, please message me and I'll add them. My memory isn't the greatest, haha. The deadline will also be a bit later than what's liste
Make sure to have fun when auditioning!

To those that have auditioned so far, thank you, it means a lot to have this many of you interested in my project. I'm pushing the deadline a week back to fill out the rest of the cast. However, only a few more characters are actually required to start production on the episodes. Kazuya Makigami is the main character here, as with somebody to voice him, The Daybreakers can officially start production. As an added note, however does receive Kazuya, I will want to voice extras in the other episodes. Thank you!

The first update!
To those who have auditioned so far, I've listened to all of you and it's been a great turnout for this phase. I will most likely be pushing the process to the end of September (which was planned), to allow more time for people to get their recordings in. There are a few of you on my current shortlist, however, I most likely won't be casting anybody until the end of the first phase. Some things that may help you out for those who have/haven't auditioned yet; 1. Enthusiam is key! Many of you have shown that, however, even if your voice isn't an exact copy of the dub voice, you will still have a great chance to be cast as a role. 2. To add to the top statement, try reciting lines under different emotions. I'll be loosely following the official English translations for each episode for the scripts, but I'll also be wanting to spice things up. Keep that in mind. 3. Now, this is for anyone, even if you don't get cast. There, of course, will be a lot of extras I'll be looking to hand out. If you are cast, the chances are that you'll get another small/minor role as say, a civillian, if you can switch your voice up. I am completely fine with others lending their voices as well, because that's what this is all about. No matter if you're auditioning or not, or you don't get cast, if you want to send me a message about voicing some extras, then please do and I'll make a list. Your lines won't be much, but you will get credit. Thank you very much for deciding to check out and support this project. It's pretty awesome to see the current reception. :D - Will
Ryuji is known as a disruptive "problem student" at school whose bad behavior causes all sorts of trouble for the teachers. He is quite proud of his status as a self-proclaimed "troublemaker" and his rebellious, mischievous and disobedient nature are the perfect qualities to be a Phantom Thief. He can sometimes be vulgar and aggressive, as shown in his early interactions with Yusuke and Makoto. He is also rather short-tempered, easily taking offense from even the slightest of comments. That said, he will never resort to violence, unless he is provoked. He is very straightforward when it comes to expressing his feelings, especially in regards to his hatred of selfish adults and authority figures who abuse their power. He is deeply empathetic when it comes to the plight of others; simply listening to Ren's story of how he got arrested makes him extremely angry, and hearing about Kamoshida's sexual abuse greatly upsets him.
Ryuji can be clumsy and overly energetic sometimes; he has a habit of yelling constantly, despite frequent warnings from Morgana to keep his voice down, which usually results in loud outbursts that often includes accidentally revealing himself and his friends as the Phantom Thieves. This, combined with his frequent density, causes him to be viewed as an idiot by his peers, Morgana in particular and makes him as some sort of comedic relief in various situations. Ryuji also occasionally has a hard time accepting blame for things, though it's less he doesn't recognize when he's at fault so much as he hates being held solely responsible for an incident when he feels he isn't the only issue, or if it was simply beyond the group's control.

"Right! We're Phantom Thieves on the side of Justice. Why don't we show this gang of low-level crooks how overmatched they are?"
"Tear 'em apart! Captain Kidd!"
"Who're you livin' your life for? Your parents? Teachers? Society? Maybe you should stop tryin' to live for them, and just try livin' for yourself."
Ann is a very kind and compassionate girl, enough for it to be noted by both Morgana and Sojiro Sakura. Years of isolation due to her looks has left her very withdrawn and with a belief she's lost her place in the world, but that doesn't stop her from opening up to the people close to her and making jokes. This is because she's learned not to care what other people think of her, a lesson taught to her by Shiho Suzui, who was her only friend before joining the Phantom Thieves. She is shown to be a good judge of character, as she was the first person able to look past the rumors of the protagonist and see him for who he really is. While not as bad as Ryuji, Ann is rather book dumb, doing poorly in every subject except English, which she mainly aces due to being bilingual. She can also be rather air-headed, particularly when it comes to her attempts to "strengthen her heart." Nevertheless, Ann is very smart in her own right. She is a good judge of character and has a keen eye for detail,
Because of her kindness, Ann initially acts as the Thieves' sole "moral center," i.e. the only one to never lose sight of the bigger picture. While Morgana only cares about restoring his true form and Ryuji often gets worked up over becoming famous, albeit in order to give people courage, Ann acts as the common sense of the group, considering helping people to be the number one priority, and often wondering whether what they're doing can actually be considered right. She's also the one to suggest the "unanimous decision" rule, since she didn't like the idea of just picking a target at random. Despite all of this, Ann can also be rather sarcastic when annoyed or upset, particularly during her early encounters with Makoto, and isn't even above using profanity when pushed over the edge. Additionally, although she spares Kamoshida's life so he can confess his crimes and atone, she reveals later that she did it not out of kindness, but so he would end up suffering and begging for forgiveness for the rest of his life, which she considers to be a fate worse than death, much to Ryuji's shock.

Yusuke’s entire life’s passion is comprised of and surrounded by art. He searches for the aesthetic everywhere in his surroundings, from people to places. He sees every opportunity or challenge presented to him as a way to broaden his horizons, and primarily considers how it will benefit him greatly as an artist. Despite his eccentricities, Yusuke is incredibly level-headed and, in many ways, is the most mature of the group. He sees no use in panicking or getting nervous, as it does nothing to help the situation at hand. He is usually polite when dealing with others, particularly when compared to the vulgar Ryuji, condescending Morgana and passive-aggressive Akechi. However, he tends to be more sincere when dealing with subjects he admires from an aesthetic standpoint. For example, he is very direct and respectful when he approaches Ann out of a desire to paint her. However, this sincerity can make him appear pushy, showing that he has a very stubborn, headstrong side, which comes out when he is very inspired.
He displays a somewhat cold and haughty behavior towards people which are behaving in what he deems as an unseemly manner, or in ways that are against his personal aesthetic. This can be seen especially during his initial encounters with Ryuji and the protagonist, and during an encounter he has with two women who attempt to flirt with him. Additionally, he can be very sharp with people who make mistakes, such as when he calls out Ryuji for getting caught or when he chastises Makoto for being reckless. This even extends to the rest of the group, as when they're framed for murder, he angrily states they shouldn't have rushed into things. Despite this, Yusuke tries his hardest to be a gentleman and is overall one of the kinder members of the team. Having been unhealthily sheltered for most of his life, Yusuke acts with pure intentions, but ultimately is unaccustomed to many of society's norms. The naïveté born from it shows more times than not, he in particular being unaware when he is coming off as intrusive until being directly informed. At times, he can cause trouble for other team members, such as being energetically pushy when asking for Ann to be his art model, when he remodels Futaba's Phoenix Ranger Featherman R figurines without her permission and his frequent criticisms of Ryuji's brashness.

"This is my other self! Goemon!"
"I am not Madarame. I won't be stained by desire. After all. I can see hope. If I am lost, they will extend their hands. If I am wrong, they will chastise me. ...As long as I have my rays of hope to guide me, I will be fine."
While appearing to be a cat, Morgana claims to be a human, and sticks with the team as he believes they'll be able to help him regain his true form. Morgana becomes irritated when he's called and being thought of as nothing more than a cat, as it lessens his sense of belonging; this is likely one of the reasons that instigated his heated relationship with Ryuji Sakamoto. Despite this, Morgana often meows, self-grooms, and has a great love for sushi. Despite his feminine name, Morgana declares himself to be male. He constantly attempts to be more masculine than he naturally is, disliking being seen as a cute cat and wishing to be viewed as manly and competent, which is where his overconfident and sassy personality comes from. Morgana is quite sassy, as he seems to enjoy teasing his teammates, especially Ryuji. In a twist of irony, Morgana shows a surprisingly gentlemanly side towards Ann Takamaki, whom he develops a crush on for her kindness, bravery and beauty. That being said, even she isn't safe from Morgana's smart remarks at times, which are usually directed towards her terrible acting skills.
Despite his cocky attitude, Morgana is actually quite level-headed, having the sense to know when it's best to retreat and fight another day, as well as often warning the others not to let their emotions get the better of them. However, this level-headedness is not absolute, as he's shown to get engrossed by stuff he perceives as valuable, especially "the embodiment of human desire". While often cheeky and otherwise outspoken, Morgana does show a softer side; while looking after the protagonist in their give-and-take deal, he's very encouraging and supportive towards him and his growth. And while he often makes fun of Ryuji, he draws the line at rubbing salt in the wound; when Ryuji accidentally gets the team caught, Morgana states that the mistake they made was crucial, but not critical, and they would just have to recover from there on.

Kazuya Makigami is the older brother of Naoya Makigami, and physically abuses him every day to vent his stress over his criminal life.
Despite his age, Kazuya is actually the leader of a band of criminals who rob restaurants in Shibuya. The gang refers to him as "Makki," and he acts as their lockpicker. He eventually becomes fed up with the way his underlings treat him, and discovering the Phantom Aficionado Website, almost posts on there to have them killed, but decides against it. When two of his underlings are laid off due to "that geezer of a painter," he tells them not to go overboard. He is the main antagonist of The Daybreakers OVA.

In every Persona game to date, Igor has played the role of Proprietor of the Velvet Room, a space which transcends both dream and reality. As the proprietor, Igor provides insight to the protagonists regarding their powers, emotional bonds, and possible dangers that await them in their journey. Igor also provides the vital services of Persona fusion, which allows the creation of vastly more powerful Personas from preexisting ones; and the use of the Persona Compendium, which allows previously created and/or acquired Personas to be recalled at a later time.
Despite his rather striking appearance, Igor bears a calm and courteous demeanor while speaking with the protagonists. Though the well-being of the protagonists is important to him, he reserves the disclosure of certain information for more "timely" points in the story. During conversations concerning the protagonists’ actions, Igor opts for rather cryptic comments that tend to foreshadow coming events and possibly the outcome of the story as a whole, regardless of whether or not those comments are at the time understood (which may be his intent). This suggests that Igor may have near-omniscience, though by his own admission, there are things that even he can't foresee.
Keep in mind for Yaldaboath, I will edit the voice clips to sound distorted enough, don't worry about that. As for Igor, I'll need two variations, the False God fake as well as the real Igor that appears in Stars and Ours.

Despite being the student council president, Makoto is an extremely unpopular student at Shujin Academy; due to her not doing anything to stop Suguru Kamoshida's abuse, she is considered by all the students to be an arrogant, selfish control freak who knew about the abuse but chose to do nothing about it because she only cared about getting a good letter of recommendation. While she does give off the impression of this during the Phantom Thieves' first few encounters with her, these rumors are ultimately revealed to be just that: rumors. In truth, the abuse outraged Makoto, but she didn't feel like she had the power to do anything about it. In fact, Makoto holds no real authority in the school, with her position merely making her a glorified tool for the principal to use however he sees fit. Feeling overshadowed by her highly successful older sister, Makoto has almost no sense of self-worth, and so has made a habit of keeping her nose down and doing what is expected of her. Her submissive nature is noted by Goro Akechi, who condescendingly refers to her as "the good-girl type of pushover."
Despite appearing prim and proper on the surface, Makoto is actually more of a tomboy; she's trained in aikido (though she's never seen using it onscreen), enjoys violent action movies, never wears skirts other than her school uniform (which she wears leggings under) and seems to care little about fashion other than the headband she wears in her hair. Makoto is also something of a tsundere; while she's mostly a kind person, she can also be very bossy and is harshly critical of those who don't live up to her expectations, particularly Ryuji Sakamoto, whose case she constantly gets on due to his consistently nonchalant approach to school life, implying that she's a perfectionist. She also has a ton of repressed anger issues over being made to stand on a pedestal by adults who don't follow the same standards themselves, and as such has the worst temper of the group bar none, to the point that even Ryuji, who's quite short-tempered himself, often warns the others not to get her bad side. Makoto is often believed to have the personality of a robot. The reason her classmates get this impression from her is that they believe she blindly follows the principal's orders, doesn't show a lot of emotion and is very focused on getting good grades.

With a case of social anxiety bordering on agoraphobia, combined with the trauma of losing her mother Wakaba Isshiki, Futaba is strongly discomfited by going outside. When the protagonist first meets her, she is a hikikomori who does not attend school and almost never leaves her room. She communicates with the world remotely via the Internet, and her adoptive father Sojiro Sakura enables her lifestyle out of guilt that he could not protect her from trauma. Having disconnected herself from humanity and the world beyond her apartment, Futaba is lonely, lives without passion and enthusiasm, suffers from suicidal depression, and questions the point in her living. Futaba begins to change after meeting the protagonist and the other Phantom Thieves, opening up to them more and becoming more relaxed around them. Once she's truly comfortable around others, she shows her childish side and likes teasing her friends, particularly Ryuji Sakamoto, Yusuke Kitagawa and Morgana, and sometimes Makoto Niijima as well. Although she still has occasional anxiety and odd habits, she comes off as bright, playful and cheerful when with her newfound friends. However, due to being socially inept, Futaba is often extremely blunt, to the point that she seems to have no concept of tactfulness.
She also has a rather ruthless side to her; not only does she have zero qualms with hacking, to the point of bugging the protagonist's phone so she can keep an eye on them during their trip to Hawaii but she cares little for the group's main goal of reforming society; she only wants to find out the truth behind her mother's death, and get revenge on the ones responsible, which she admits is an extremely personal reason. Makoto even states at one point that she's glad she's on their side, with fear of what she'd do if she was their enemy. As she is actually the real Medjed, her hacking skills had been implied to be of worldwide fame as a book about it can be purchased which states that Medjed is known worldwide for its activities. However, this identity remains anonymous to the public.

Akechi is a high school student who conducts a detective business. His abilities as a detective have been widely acclaimed, since he not only has solved numerous cases, but is also able to deal with people from the investigation agency smoothly. His handsome features draw him public attention, and people comment on him as “The Second Advent of the Detective Prince.” Behind his popularity, however, he is quite lonely and yearns to be loved. He was abandoned by his father, subsequently lost his mother to suicide and never had close friends. He was passed around the foster care system as an orphan and has developed a far more jaded worldview than he initially lets on, even calling himself an unwanted child. He has a desperate desire to be acknowledged, which he is forthright about being the primary drive for his actions as a detective. He also has a narcissistic element to his personality, wishing for others to see him as a hero and those who oppose him as the villains. Akechi claims that he has carefully crafted his public image in the hopes that it would make people accept him. He has the public's support only if he upholds the pretense of being a charismatic idol detective, and his fans are quick to turn on him if he makes mistakes.
After meeting and joining the party, he experiences how it feels to be happy together with friends for the first time in his life, particularly the protagonist. Akechi both admires and envies him, since no matter his social standing and how others see him, the protagonist does not let anything stop him from making his own path. Near the final act of the game, his obsession with getting revenge on his father and desire to be the hero of his own story overshadows his true feelings for the protagonist and the party. In that regard, he has become a traitor for both the Phantom Thieves and Shido. He usually speaks in a calm and polite, yet unsettling fashion, but when he drops his guise and uses his powers to become berserk as a last ditch attempt to defeat the thieves, his dialogues become wildly aggressive and profane.

Haru is generally very shy and reserved. At school, she is viewed as eccentric due to her tendency to keep to herself and avoid contact with others as much as possible. She has serious trust issues, finding it difficult to differentiate between who truly values her as a friend, and who merely wants to use her for her family's status. This is due to her past, where not only friends, but adults and teachers would be kind at her just to please her father and smiled at her for their own personal gain. Despite this, Haru is an incredibly kind-hearted girl; she becomes fast friends with all of the Phantom Thieves. Initially, Haru acts and behaves very formally towards the group, believing that it's her responsibility as the newest member of the team. After being told that whether or not she's new doesn't matter to them, however, she loosens up and becomes much more casual; she calls Makoto "Mako-chan" because Makoto is the first friend of her own age she's ever had (this initially catches Makoto off-guard, but she soon considers it refreshing since Haru had been excessively formal early in the conversation). She calls Morgana "Mona-chan" both in and out of the Metaverse and uses affectionate honorifics for everyone (-kun for boys and -chan for girls). It goes both ways, as she dislikes the younger members of the group calling her "Senpai" and asks for them to just call her "Haru," a trait she shares with Makoto.
In her spare time, she enjoys tending to her garden, as well as growing vegetables on the roof of the school. She claims that vegetable-growing is the only thing she's honestly good at, and becomes delighted when she learns that her hobby can prove useful to the Phantom Thieves' activities. Besides gardening, she also enjoys horror movies. Despite her gentle personality, she admits she feels excited when Shadows beg for their lives, that cutting down enemies as they approach is a thrill, and that she sees combat as a form of stress relief, hinting she is somewhat sadistic.

Sae is intelligent, professional and serious, although her actual maturity is debatable. A workaholic, Sae is very strict in both her work as prosecutor and guardian for her younger sister, Makoto, constantly telling her to focus on her studies and such. With many responsibilities, Sae is always working due to Japan's work pressure, and is very stressed and exhausted. She must care for Makoto, almost putting her in a single mother's role. Because of her father's death, Sae views the concept of justice as meaningless. This has made her hyper-competitive and obsessed with getting ahead, to the point of telling Makoto that success is all that matters in life. This is to her detriment, as it clouds her judgement and leads to her trusting all of the wrong people; throughout the investigation of the Phantom Thieves, she remains completely unaware that her boss is taking her for a complete fool and while she doesn't get along with Goro Akechi, she nevertheless trusts his judgement regarding the Phantom Thieves.
Sae's most consistent flaw is her hypocrisy. For all her supposed disgust of the Phantom Thieves, she's perfectly willing to resort to methods similar to theirs in order to catch them, claiming that they "can't be caught by following the rules." Akechi even points out to her that, in doing so, she is no different from the very people she claims to hate. This trait of hers is especially prominent in her Shadow, who repeatedly states that she wishes to do things "fair and square" despite constantly cheating. Regardless of her many flaws, Sae isn't without standards or moments of compassion, a prominent example being when the protagonist was feeling fatigued over the drug injections making her feel concerned for him despite him being labeled a criminal. There were even times when she would be worried the protagonist would pass out. She is also genuinely disgusted and even disturbed at the cops for inflicting such pain on the protagonist.

Sojiro is serious and a bit cold to the protagonist in the beginning, begrudgingly taking him in as a favor to a friend. Like many characters in the beginning of the story, he is cautious of him due to his probation, even stating that he will do very little if the protagonist gets himself into trouble. He is a rather cynical person, warning the protagonist that he should be careful who his friends are and chastising him for getting involved in the affairs of others, even if he was trying to do the right thing. However, Sojiro seems to have a soft spot for cats, as he instantly changed his mind about throwing Morgana out of the house, after hearing him meow, claiming that he was just too damn cute. He also made him something to eat right away, despite claiming that feeding him was the protagonist's responsibility. However, as the protagonist continues to live with him, Sojiro slowly builds trust in him, allowing him to go outside at night, first around the area then anywhere around Tokyo and even beginning to teach him to make Leblanc's signature coffee and curry. He also begins to joke around with the protagonist more, seeing that the protagonist is not the delinquent that his probation makes him seem like.
Sojiro is a very smooth talker and often charms women with choice words, stating that he was "quite the ladies man" in his youth. He takes an immediate liking to Ann Takamaki, commenting on her kindness and even asking if she has a boyfriend. Despite this, Sojiro has never been married and has only truly loved one person ever: Wakaba. Wakaba's "suicide" became one of his biggest regrets in his life, due to the fact that he took her warning that she may die soon as a joke. It is also part of the reason why he adopted her daughter, Futaba, though he considers this a selfish reason since it's just his way of atonement. Despite the life she lives as a shut-in, he allows her to do so knowing that her mother's death haunts her and to atone for doing nothing even after Wakaba foresaw her impending death. At times, he wonders if he really is the best person to raise her.

"I won't ask you to work for free. If you agree to help me, then... I'll teach you how to make the perfect cup of coffee."
"At the end of the day, the coffee and the curry people love so much are both just... excuses."
"I thought my pick-up lines were the best in town, but not a single one worked on her... Heh..."
Kawakami is a highly competent and professional teacher who never lets her ever-mounting stress and exhaustion show visibly in either of her jobs. She is laid-back and outspoken, once saying "crap" in class. While she initially acts very coldly towards the protagonist, this was because she thought he was a problem student and felt unsafe around him. After he stands up to Suguru Kamoshida, she realizes that he was given a poor reputation for no good reason and becomes far friendlier, showing her more compassionate and involved side. She is also something of a hopeless romantic, developing an attraction towards older students who show her kindness and understanding, which leads to her occasionally projecting her own amorous feelings on the protagonist during the early part of her Confidant. Unlike Kamoshida, however, she is aware pursuing a relationship with a student would be unethical and cares about whether or not her students consent to her attentions-in a romantic version of the Confidant, she tells the protagonist to come back after he graduates from high school to prevent putting undue pressure on him.

Takemi is a somewhat eccentric young woman. She dresses like a punk and has a morbid sense of humor, reacting with glee when she gets the protagonist to try out a new medicine, watching him squirm. Due to her bad reputation, she can easily tell when one of her patients has an ulterior motive, as those kind of patients are all she gets. Her reputation as "the Plague" has made her highly cynical and insecure, claiming that she's only good for making experimental drugs, even after being praised for curing a young girl. Despite her dark sense of humor, Takemi is nevertheless a very kind and caring person, as one would expect from a doctor; although she gets annoyed at the protagonist for his attempted deception, she decides to make a deal with him afterwards, saying she'll give him medicines to recover his health. After he agrees to become her assistant, she frequently checks on him to out of concern for his health.

Ohya is a paparazza in her mid-20s. She will write whatever story sells, even sometimes manipulating and twisting the information in her articles for the sake of clickbait and attention, and even if it means she does not have to take the time to properly research the truth. She used to be a more stringent journalist, but a story of hers was censored because of exposing the scandal of Masayoshi Shido's cohort and was permanently reassigned to entertainment and, more importantly, led to the disappearance and framing of her partner, Kayo Murakami. Ohya admits she does not enjoy writing entertainment articles about the latest fads, yet feels she does not have a choice and is unwilling to quit her profession.
Feeling betrayed and used, Ohya became incredibly cynical, sure of goodwill and unselfish motives being a sign of a manipulator. Over the course of her Confidant, she gradually becomes more idealistic again and chooses to go back to getting to the bottom of the scandal, recognizing that there is a point to truthful reporting even if it does not give her the fame she wants.

Hifumi is a young lady who attends Kosei High School. She holds the championship title in the Female Shogi League. Her appearance has gained her attention as the "too beautiful shogi player." She practices hard and gives interviews every day for the sake of her mother and for the world of shogi. She is widely disliked for suspicions of fixing her matches-rumors that turn out to be mostly true, as while she is innocent, her mother bribes her competitors. The protagonist meets Hifumi in a church located in Kanda.

Caroline has a very classical tsundere (someone who acts mean-spirited and aloof to disguise any affectionate feelings) attitude towards the protagonist. She tends to speak to Justine in a demeaning manner. Additionally, she doesn't seem to hold the protagonist in very high regard, as she refers to him as "inmate," and kicks him into the Velvet Room whenever he goes to enter. She is generally ill-tempered and impatient, even after the twins' Confidant levels up and she grows to respect the protagonist as a friend. There are certain inconsistencies between how she seems and her real personality, and as according to Justine, she was mortified when she first witnessed Persona fusion and practiced intimidating poses to use on the protagonist but is too embarrassed to use them.
Justine, in contrast, appears to be calm and soft-spoken but still treats the protagonist as her prisoner, often addressing him in a condescending tone. She is the first to question what their true purpose is, and realizes something is amiss with possessing an intricate bookmark but having no books to read. While guarding an entrance to the Velvet Room, she whittles away at her boredom by spinning her clipboard.
Lavenza speaks relatively more maturely than the twins and still maintains a soft tone similar to Justine, but can be impatient at times similar to Caroline, as shown when Ryuji expresses confusion to her explanation. She refers to the protagonist as trickster, instead of inmate. In a New Game+ where the twins have been defeated, she freely admits to having fallen in love with the protagonist for having been kind to her halves when both felt incomplete and lost.
For this, if it's requested so, then I will split the roles of the Twins and Lavenza into seperate auditions. For now, I want to see if you can take on all three.

"...You are held captive. A prisoner of fate to a future that has been sealed in advance. This is truly an unjust game... Your chances of winning are almost none. But if my voice is reaching you, there may yet be a possibility open to you... ...I beg you. Please overcome this game... and save the world... The key to victory lies within the memories of your bonds—the truth that you and your friends grasped. It all began that day... when the game was started half a year ago... For the sake of your world's future... as well as your own... you must remember..."

"Quiet, inmate!"
Shido is a profoundly selfish, egotistical, and arrogant man with a savior complex. He is utterly self-assured of his fundamental righteousness, believing the simple fact that the Conspiracy is able to get away with its crimes without the Phantom Thieves of Hearts and their supernatural interference, combined with his own knowledge of the Metaverse, is a sign that he is favored by God. He despises anyone who tries to stop him from any of his desires, no matter how fleeting. He is also quite litigious, threatening to sue anyone who irritates him and has no qualms with blackmailing even the police into keeping their mouth shut. However, in spite of all the heinous things he does privately, he does make a good attempt in giving himself a public image and thus the public is completely oblivious to his true personality, as they only see him as the revolutionary politician that he pretends to be.
Shido is willing to use whatever method he can, no matter how underhanded, to complete his goals, but keeps his public image as clean using whatever methods he can to keep those in the know silent. He believes that Japan's social state is utterly corrupt and weak on the world stage, completely blind to his own hypocrisy in creating a criminal conspiracy to win the election for Prime Minister unfairly. He is terrified of having his heart stolen once he realizes it is possible, creating a contingency plan to prevent it just in case.

"Don't think you've won. The power held by the most elite is what rules over our society... It's vexing that I have to use it on some foolish brats... But I will educate you through and through!"
