Periastron Union | Pilot
Project Overview
A group of sacred blades scatter to find suitable wielders for its power. Dom, the chosen Arcana for the Azure Periastron must now live up to the legacy as a protector, just like the previous Arcanas of his time. Mentored behind closed doors, Dom explores the outside world freely, and has only begun writing his own story.
For Voice Acting auditions, we recommend that VAs follow an AABBCC format in submissions, which means two takes per line! If the auditioner wishes to go beyond and do longer takes, such as AAABBBCCC, then that too is encouraged!
For Story Designer auditions, compile all of your creative written works under one Google Drive folder and place all of your literature there! There are no maximum word counts for how long your blurbs may be, but keep it below 10 pages!
For Artist auditions, the process is similar above; place all your art pieces under one Google Drive folder. There is no limit to how many you’d like to show off; it would help us more if we know your dedication and expertise! Lastly, it does not need to be original work- fanarts are also allowed to be posted in your submissions. We are looking for quality!
We'd like to importantly add that these roles are voluntary! Payment WILL be agreed upon each different artist and voice actor based on the project's performance and support!

Male. Early to late 20s. Quiet, tense, and emotionally bottled, but there’s heat beneath the surface.
Dom’s voice is mid-range and youthful, carrying hesitation beneath a quiet strength. He sounds like someone still growing into his role, unsure of what he’s meant to be. His tone tightens when afraid or cornered, but sharpens with conviction when he steps up.
Dom is the current Arcana of the Azure Periastron, chosen in the wake of grief and confusion. Both of his parents died under mysterious circumstances, and he’s been raised under the guidance of Keran. Though now burdened with immense power. His voice should be measured and introverted- never whiny, never too sure of himself. When he does raise his voice (usually in anger or fear), it should come like lightning: jarring, intense, and rare.

"You have a Periastron right? You’re- you’re one of them?- Us"
"Am I… the right one? What if the Sword was never supposed to be mine?! It shouldn’t even be mine!"
Androgynous. Mid to low range. Firm, grounded, mature. A calm mentor, but unyielding.
Keran speaks with a mid-low voice, calm and weathered. There’s a soft rasp, a patient tone, and a sense that every word is measured. He doesn’t raise his voice often, but when he does, it’s sharp. like a veteran reminding you why he’s still respected.
Keran is a master choreographer who once worked with top developers to design realistic combat for fighting games. Now retired from the spotlight, he acts as a mentor to Dom, not with weapons, but with awareness, precision, and purpose. He was a close friend of Dom’s parents before their death, and now bears the silent weight of raising someone else's legacy.

“You lack discipline. Stillness. The ability to be patient and wait for the perfect opportunity to str- Hey! Are you even listening?”
“Well, I’m not entirely against this idea. I don’t hate it. I just don’t… like it either.”
Male. Low, calm, almost soothing but threatening in its stillness. Each syllable is coated with a hunter’s tone.
Vale’s voice is smooth, low, and unnervingly calm. He speaks like he’s in control, with just enough charm to make you doubt yourself. There's danger behind every word, never raised, but always present.
Sonarion is a bounty hunter who manipulates sound- a sound designer turned executioner. His weapon is silence, and his method is clean. He rarely raises his voice, instead allowing the stillness between words to unsettle. He should sound eerily relaxed at all times, no matter the situation. He’s not menacing in the traditional way; his menace is control. Precision. Politeness wrapped in finality.

“All things are curated in the shadow, Azure. It’s why crime waits for you to find it.”
Male. Early 20s. Mid-range, highly expressive, energetic— a voice full of rhythm, swagger, and liveliness. Preferably able to roll your R’s. Must be comfortable in singing.
NEON is the life of the rave; loud, flashy, fast-talking, and always thinking in rhythm. He hums beats in mid-battle, plans song drops while dodging attacks, and calls every confrontation a “setlist opportunity.” He’s not thoughtless, just wired differently, and behind his showboating is a real genius for flow and improvisation. To NEON, life is a track, and he refuses to go out on a bad one.

Elize speaks in a smooth, mid-low female voice with clean articulation and a serious, no-nonsense tone. Her words land like strikes- efficient and purposeful; but there's rare warmth when trust is earned. She carries herself like someone who respects time and expects the same from others. A commanding presence with rare glimpses of gentleness. Must be comfortable in singing.
Elize is a disciplined fighter and graceful vocalist, a warrior who sees music as both expression and weapon. Her singing voice can soothe crowds or rally hearts, but she’s rarely known for her combat sharpness and unwavering focus. She values time and purpose, and does not tolerate wastefulness or ego. Elize leads by example, holding herself to impossible standards so others know what excellence truly is.

“Just right in time, welcome to the club, Dom. You’re the other first Periastron me and Neon have met. Ever.”
“I do the lead, Neon does whatever he likes, though he’s been a great producer by himself, I wonder if I’ve ever held him back.”
Male. Deep, controlled, and mature. He speaks composed like he knows what will unravel next. When he taunts, he adds a mocking laced poison to his tone. Use Poppy Playtime’s “The Doctor” as a reference, we are looking for a similar diction and delivery that he has!
I_NFRA is a wildcard exploiter who tears through firewalls like wrapping paper. They’re manic, self-aware, and gleefully destructive.

“Oops. Did I crash your reality again? Simple as pi.” (Teasing and gleeful, like winning over someone)
“Click. Crask. Gone. I love watching you break.” (Grim, and dark. Full of bitter venom on each word.)
“You call this a system? Adorable. It’s barely functioning for anything fundamental.” (Teasing lightly, then switching into a more sinister tone- kind of condescending. Degrading.)
Male. Low, gravelly, grounded. Think of Kratos or older Joel (TLOU).
He speaks in a deep, gravel-heavy voice with a slow, burdened tone- like someone dragging years of war behind each word. He doesn’t waste syllables; his restraints say more than shouting ever could. Pain, wisdom, and command all live in his voice.

“I don’t remember the war. But my hands haven’t forgotten.
“Let the blade speak. I’ve said enough for a lifetime.”
“This Sword didn’t erase who I was, it just gave me someone else to become.”
Female. Low to mid-range, poetic, melancholic, dreamlike.
Her voice is breathy and melodic, like she’s speaking through a dream or reading a cursed poem. Her tone is soft, distant, and haunting- not evil, but not quite human. Every line feels like a lullaby meant to disarm or trap.
She is a librarian-turned-Arcana who now watches over forbidden tomes and dream-laced scripts. The Ghostwalker blade grants her power over memory and escapism- her library traps people by offering them the stories they long to live. She speaks slowly, deliberately, as though every word must be weighed before release. Her voice should sound like sleep talking: beautiful, haunting, and just a bit unnerving. She's not evil, but her morality is blurred by years of watching people destroy themselves through fiction.

Newsmaster appears on screens, HUDs, and floating signs throughout the world. They give updates on Arcana activity, server events, or critical warnings. Their dual personalities allow them to inject humor while worldbuilding.

As a Story Designer, you will assist in the writing of characters’ depths and dynamics. As well as helping in dialogue to capture the essence of who may be talking. Further on when the story progresses, you will help suggest plots and arcs that could give more shape to the already present narrative. You must always remain sensitive when the story explores more mature settings and themes that may require deeper understanding. Your submission must include any writing blurbs YOU have written, and for any other creative works you have taken part of; such as concepts for a story, short stories- and yes, even fanfiction may count.

Concept Artists create drawings from ideas and- well, concepts. From simple what-ifs into illustrations, sketches of certain environments, and into full character sheet references. You will finalize most characters’ designs, and how the world will look aesthetically based on the story’s setting.

Sprite Artists create the final look of character icons and splash arts through unique rendering styles that will captivate audience attraction. You may be tasked to illustrate thumbnails, character illustrations, and headshots.

Storyboard Animators will be the one to bring the ideas and characters into motion! We aren’t too strict with this, as the director will also be one of the storyboard animators. We don’t want to request heavy labor as animation takes time, so we are looking for people who are capable of doing simple storyboarding as it will be how the short pilot will be animated; just a simple animatic-styled short! However, each animator is free to put their own creative flair for their shots.

Music Composers will add in emphasis to some scenes to further help bring out emotion. These soundtracks may range from simple background ambience, to a simple short song that may be sung by our voice actors. We are open to any genre of any kind!
