Overwatch Skits (For YouTube) (PAID)

Project Overview

Hey guys! I'm a small-ish YouTuber who loves Overwatch and making skits. I've decided to start making skits with Overwatch so if you want to be a part just apply!

What am I looking for?
1.) You MUST have a clear and good sounding mic.
2.) You MUST be able to make the accent of who you are trying for.
3.) You MUST have discord (or get it it's free.)
4.) You MUST be 14+

Yes I am willing to pay but that will be discussed through direct messages. If you need to talk to me urgently just follow and tweet at my twitter (@DaFoxyGirl)

The Overwatch characters needed in this skit are for one video and if this video turns out doing very well I will need more people to fill in other Overwatch characters. SO If you feel you are good at any of the accents apply in the blank role spot and tell me who you would like to apply for.

No you don't need to actually have Overwatch to be in the skits!

Thank you for your time it means a lot! =D

Base

Affiliation

Soaring through the air in her combat armor, and armed with a launcher that lays down high-explosive rockets, Pharah is a force to be reckoned with.

Initially, Fareeha had a good relationship with her mother, who taught her martial arts. As a child, she grew up in the company of Overwatch; she dreamed of following in her mother's footsteps and joining the organization. However, her mother was against it. This led to a strained relationship between mother and daughter. After her mother was apparently killed in action, she got her udjat, to honor her memory. Her mother had borne a similar tattoo, and told her it was a symbol of protection. At the time, Fareeha had assumed that it meant that her mother would always protect her.

Fareeha enlisted in the Egyptian Army. Her dogged persistence and tactical prowess caused her to rise up through the officer ranks. She was a courageous leader and earned the loyalty of all who served under her. With her exemplary record, Fareeha was well placed to join the ranks of Overwatch, but before she had that opportunity, Overwatch was disbanded.

After leaving the army with a commendation for distinguished service, she was offered employment with Helix Security International, a private security firm contracted to defend the artificial intelligence research facility beneath the Giza Plateau. The top-secret facility was touted as vital to the safety of not only the region but countries across the globe. Fareeha gladly accepted the choice assignment and received training in the Raptora Mark VI, an experimental combat suit designed for rapid mobility and devastating firepower.

Under the call sign "Pharah," she worked to safeguard the AI installation. Though she mourned Overwatch's passing, she still dreamed of fighting the good fight and making a difference on a global scale. She was assigned to a strike team under the command of Captain Khalil, with the rank of lieutenant.

When the Anubis AI broke free of containment, Pharah's team was sent in to neutralize the AI. They found a wounded member of the engineers that had been sent ahead, revealing that Anubis had taken control of the sentry bots assigned to the site. Pharah ordered that they move on, despite the protests of Saleh that the engineer needed medical attention. Pharah stated that the mission was more important than any of their lives, given what was at stake if Anubis breached HSI's firewalls. Khalil conceeded the point, but pointed out that Pharah needed to work on her attitude, that the squad was her "family." The team came under attack by security bots, and in the ensuing firefight, Khalil was killed. Per the chain of command, Pharah took command of the squad. Pharah ordered the squad to push on. Anubis had attacked their "family," echoing Khalil's words. The squad entered the temple, and engaged in combat with the security bots. The ordnance caused a pillar to collapse, threatening to crush Tariq. She saved him, much to his confusion—didn't the mission come first? She dismissed the question, and she and her squad held the line while Tariq hacked Anubis's systems. He was wounded, but Anubis was shut down, and the squad exfiltrated the site. As Tariq was loaded into the squad's APC, he told her that Pharah was her captain now, and that he'd always follow her. Pharah reflected on her udjat, and that she'd misunderstood what her mother had told her all those years ago. It did not mean that she was protected, but rather, she was the protector.

  • Justice rains from above!

  • System check initiated. Green across the board, I'm ready for action.

  • Remember your training, and we'll get through this just fine.

Gérard Lacroix (husband, deceased)

Amélie Guillard grew up in her family's ancestral home of Chateau Guillard. For much of her life, she was known as an accomplished ballet dancer in Paris. She married Gérard Lacroix, an Overwatch agent spearheading operations against the Talon terrorist organization. After several unsuccessful attempts to eliminate Gérard, Talon decided to change its focus to his wife. Talon operatives kidnapped her and subjected her to an intense program of neural reconditioning. They broke her will, suppressed her personality, and reprogrammed her as a sleeper agent. She was eventually found by Overwatch agents, apparently none the worse for wear, and returned to her normal life.

Two weeks later she killed Gérard in his sleep.

Her mission complete, Amélie returned to Talon, and they completed the process of turning her into a living weapon. She was given extensive training in the covert arts, and then her physiology was altered, drastically slowing her heart, which turned her skin cold and blue and numbed her ability to experience human emotion.[ The slowing of her heart rate allowed her to become an exceptional sniper. Thanks to Talon's experiments Amélie was gone, replaced by "Widowmaker," Talon's most effective assassin, and feeling little save the satisfaction of a job well done. As far as Overwatch knew, she had been kidnapped.

Widowmaker was present in an anti-Talon operation conducted by Overwatch, as a force led by Jack Morrison rescued a number of scientists that Talon had taken hostage. While Overwatch was successful in this regard, Widowmaker was able to take out a number of agents. The operation led to a sniper duel between her and Ana Amari, as they made their way throughout the urban terrain. Ana was able to temporarily incapacitate Widowmaker, hitting her in her helmet. But upon seeing Widowmaker's face, she froze, recognizing her as Amélie. It was all the time Widowmaker needed to take her own shot, shooting Ana through the scope of her rifle and into her eye.

Widowmaker was sent to King's Row to assassinate Tekhartha Mondatta, the Shambali leader, as he made a speech. As she made her way to her vantage point, she reflected upon how she had been frightened of spiders as a child, drawing an implicit comparison to Widowmaker herself -- neither one felt emotion or had a beating heart. She lowered herself, upside-down, off the side of a building using her grappling hook and began to line up her shot. However, unbeknownst to her, Tracer was also at the speech. Just before she could press the trigger, she was distracted by Tracer blinking through the air towards her, pistols firing. The two engaged in a rooftop chase as Mondatta was ushered away, having been warned by Tracer. In the end, Tracer's pulsebomb backfired and blew both of them into the air. As she fell, Widowmaker took careful aim, and fired a single bullet at the center of Tracer's chronal accelerator. Tracer blinked forward, and the bullet sped on—straight into Mondatta, killing him moments before he entered his limousine. Tracer tackled her to the ground, demanding to know why she would do such a thing, but Widowmaker just chuckled, whispered, "Adieu, chérie," ("Farewell, darling,") and slammed her into the side of a building. As Widowmaker flew away on a Talon aircraft, she reflected that spiders did indeed feel—when they kill.

She later reflected that her assassination of Mondatta was one of her finest kills

Widowmaker teamed up with Reaper as part of an attempt to recover Doomfist's gauntlet. She was hindered in this by Winston and Tracer however. The mission was further complicated by a child stealing the gauntlet, and using it against her. After Tracer disarmed her, she made an escape with Reaper using her grapple, though both agents engaged in pursuit.

Alongside Reaper and Sombra, Widowmaker was assigned to assassinate Katya Volskaya, the CEO of Volskaya Industries. Sombra was able to take down the facility's security system, allowing Widowmaker and Reaper access to the site. Widowmaker lined up her sights from a vantage point, and waited for Katya to enter her field of fire. She almost did, but an alarm sounded, sending the base into high alert and Katya to her fortified office. Widowmaker fired but narrowly missed the CEO, instead shattering the lower half of her hanging right earring. Reaper ordered her to stay put while he took her out, but he was waylaid by a mech. Sombra engaged in pursuit, but reported that Katya had escaped. Reaper ordered that the operatives return to their ship.

During Christmas, Widowmaker took a visit to Gérard's resting place. She left a rose on her husbands grave.

After Doomfist was freed from his prison by Reaper, he rendezvoused with Widowmaker at a casino in Monaco. He complimented her for her assassination of Mondatta. Sombra, who was on the same channel, told Doomfist to ask her about her failure to assassinate Volskaya, but Doomfist shut down the conversation. Doomfist met with Maximilien at a game table; Widowmaker partook in the game while they discussed matters pertaining to Talon. She won quite a few chips, but the game was interrupted by Talon agents sent by Vialli to assassinate Doomfist. The pair fought them off and departed, headed for Venice. There, Widowmaker, Reaper, and Sombra eliminated Talon agents loyal to Vialli, while Doomfist killed Vialli himself.

Widowmaker returned to her ancestral home at some point.

  • When I was a girl, I had a fear of spiders. I was told they felt no
emotion. That their hearts never beat. But I know the truth. At the
moment of the kill, they are never more alive.

  • I was impressed by your performance in London. Talon could use more operatives like you. Especially given recent lapses.

LOOKING FOR A STRONG SPANISH ACCENT

Real Name

Olivia Colomar

Status

Age

30

Nationality

Mexican

Occupation

Hacker

Base

Dorado, Mexico

Affiliation

Los Muertos (formerly)
Talon (currently)

One of the world's most notorious hackers, Sombra uses information to manipulate those in power.

Sombra's skills include computer hacking and cryptography; these are activities she greatly enjoys, to the point where the desire to get past locks and solving mysteries is ingrained in her personality. She is a known associate of Reaper, specializing in espionage and intelligence assessment. She is equipped with devices that allow hacking of technology just through touch. This includes a cybernetic graft implanted along her spine. which basically makes her a living computer. She is a loner emotionally, finding it difficult to make friends (outside coercion).

Long before she took up the alias "Sombra," Olivia Colomar was among the thousands of children who were left orphaned in the aftermath of the Omnic Crisis. With much of Mexico's infrastructure destroyed along with power supplies which resulted in pitch darkness, the government of Mexico called this "La Medianoche" (Spanish, meaning "The Midnight"). She survived by utilizing her natural gifts with hacking and computers. She likewise proved adept at manipulating individuals to suit her own ends.

After Colomar was taken in by Mexico's Los Muertos gang, she aided it in its self-styled revolution against the government, performing hacks against said government on their behalf. Los Muertos believed that the rebuilding of Mexico had primarily benefited the rich and the influential, leaving behind those who were most in need of assistance. Commissioner Rivera was one such example, when she brought him a basket of bread straight to his desk, which gave her the opportunity to access his computer. She came to realize that knowledge was power, and so, she kept hacking—politicians, corporations, governments, famous people; all were in her domain of inquiry. The retrieval of information became an addiction, and her hacks became more audacious over time. Following her many conquests, Colomar was supremely confident in her skills, but she was caught unprepared when she stumbled into the web of a global conspiracy—one that had also noticed her. With her security irreparably compromised, Colomar was forced to delete all traces of her identity and went into hiding.

Colomar received a cybernetic graft and re-emerged as "Sombra." In her words, "the girl was gone." Determined to find out the truth behind the conspiracy she had uncovered to "find out who really runs the world," Sombra launched an even more audacious string of hacks, initiating a world-wide hacking spree, striking against corporations such as LumériCo and Volskaya Industries. Her exploits earned her no shortage of admirers, including Talon. She joined the organization's ranks and is believed to have contributed to its massive cyber-attacks against corporations with strong ties to their governments.

Now with Talon, Sombra worked with Los Muertos again, and was able to hack the website of LumériCo, posting claims that its CEO, Guillermo Portero, was plundering the riches of Mexico to fill his own purse, that he had corrupted the government, and wouldn't stop until the entire country was under his control. Sombra was able to infiltrate Portero's personal email, and use it without Portero knowing about the intrusion. She sent out an email via Portero's own webmail, promising to unveil his "dirty laundry" to the public. Sombra successfully released a number of internal documents to the public, catching the attention of both Mexican law enforcement and Atlas News. The documents indicated that Portero used the company's funds as his own piggy bank, that he was personally involved in bribing public officials and creating a system of kickbacks and payoffs beneficial to LumériCo, and finally, that he proposed a plan to seize privately held land via government expropriation to expand LumériCo's facilities throughout Mexico. The emails also showed that LumériCo was in conversations with the Vishkar Corporation, in regards to exporting its energy systems; a cause of concern given the company's actions in Rio de Janeiro.

Law enforcement categorized the break-ins as a criminal action, and Atlas News reported on the "Sombra collective," mistaking Colomar's identity as a group, not an individual. Sombra claimed that she was "only acting the public interest." Her efforts incited a popular revolution in Mexico against LumériCo, and pro-Sombra grafitti was reported across the world. Less than a week after the leak, Portero stepped down as CEO. By this point, Sombra was already hacking the network of her next target—Volskaya Industries.

Sombra, with Widowmaker and Reaper, infiltrated Volskaya Industries to assassinate it's CEO, Katya Volskaya. Sombra deactivated the security alerts and turrets within the facility to allow Reaper and Widowmaker access. The mission appeared to go without a hitch, Widowmaker was unable to get a clear line of sight before the operation was interrupted by an alarm—one that Sombra had set off herself. Widowmaker held the perimeter while Reaper cleared the ground floor, he was unable to get to Katya in the elevator and was forced to confront a mech as she fled to safety. Sombra gave chase, killing and incapacitating Volskaya guards, until she made it into Katya's lock-downed office. While ostensibly there to kill the CEO, Sombra played a different game, revealing her intentions to be Katya's "friend." A friend with benefits, for if Katya helped her out from time to time, she wouldn't leak evidence that Katya had been receiving technology from omnics in order to help her country in the Second Omnic Crisis. Sombra also noted how exposure would affect "the future of Russia" while handing Katya the photo of her daughter from her desk, hinting at how the fallout of a scandal would impact her. As her security was nearly through with getting the door open, Katya agreed to the terms, and Sombra teleported out of the office, reporting to her comrades that the operation had failed. The Talon operatives returned to the ship, with only Sombra in good cheer.

Sombra spent Christmas drinking at the bar in Calaveras.

  • Iniciando el hackeo.

    (English: Initiating the hack)

  • I'm guessing there's no chance we can take care of this quietly, is there?

  • Someone has to pull their weight around here.

Recently freed from imprisonment, Doomfist is determined to plunge the world into a new conflict that he believes will make humanity stronger. He possesses great strength and agility himself, even without his gauntlet.

Akande Ogundimu was born into a well-regarded Nigerian family, heir to its prosthetic-technology company. A highly intelligent and charismatic figure, Ogundimu helped to expand his family's business and position it for the future while dedicating his free time to his first love: competitive martial arts. He trained in traditional African fighting styles, including Dambe and Gidigbo, as well as in wrestling and other modern combat systems, incorporating the most effective techniques into his repertoire. Ogundimu competed in tournaments all over the continent, utilizing his intuition and ability to read opponents alongside his tremendous speed and strength.

Eventually, Akande lost his right arm in the aftermath of the Omnic Crisis, and his martial arts career was finished before he had reached his prime. His company's cybernetic prosthetics allowed him to recover from his injuries, even making him stronger, but these enhancements rendered him ineligible for competition. He tried to devote himself to his business with the same zeal that he had for fighting, but he found nothing that could fill the void... until he was given a new opportunity by Akinjide Adeyemi, better known to the world as the second Doomfist, the Scourge of Numbani.

Adeyemi offered Ogundimu the chance to fight with him as a mercenary. Initially wary, Ogundimu accepted, and discovered that he now had an arena in which he could unleash his enhanced capabilities. Eventually, Adeyemi brought him into the Talon organization. Talon's belief that humanity would be made stronger through conflict resonated with Ogundimu's personal experiences. Moreover, Talon's power struggles presented a new challenge that allowed him to use his talent in the boardroom along with his cunning as a combatant.

Adeyemi was a useful asset to Talon, but the organization saw far greater potential in Ogundimu, with his intelligence and his ability to inspire as a commander. While Adeyemi was content to profit from raids on Numbani, Ogundimu had a grander vision. This difference in aspiration would lead Ogundimu to kill his teacher and take on the mantle of Doomfist, along with the eponymous gauntlet.

As the new Doomfist, Ogundimu rose high in Talon and helped to orchestrate a conflict that the organization hoped would someday engulf the world.

Doomfist's plans reached a snag when he was confronted by an Overwatch strike team consisting of Winston, Tracer, and Genji. The resulting battle turned part of the city into a warzone. Doomfist was able to incapacitate both Tracer and Genji, as he blocked their projectiles with his gauntlet and a shield that surrounded his body. Winston however, engaged him in close quarters in a battle of strength. A battle that Doomfist lost. After his defeat, he was imprisoned in a maximum security installation managed by Helix Security International for years, where he waited patiently for events he had incited to play out. While imprisoned, Doomfist kept up to date on the events of the world outside his cell, collecting newspaper clippings about his defeat at the hands of Winston, Overwatch's possible return after its disbandment, the opening of a Doomfist exhibit displaying his gauntlet, and the assassination of Tekhartha Mondatta.

During his time in prison, his gauntlet was put on display in an Overwatch Museum; Doomfist became aware of this via another newspaper clipping. At some point, Talon agents Widowmaker and Reaper tried to retrieve the gauntlet from the museum, but were fought off by Winston and Tracer. Doomfist's gauntlet was used by a bystander, Brian, to help drive the Talon operatives away.

In the early hours of the morning, a Talon aircraft entered the Helix security installation holding Doomfist, bypassing their defense systems without incident. Reaper emerged from the craft and broke into the facility, killing over a dozen guards in the process of freeing Ogundimu. Doomfist was able to punch his way out of his own cell during the extraction. It is believed that other security breaches took place within the facility, though Helix officials have not confirmed whether other inmates or items were taken. Helix lost track of Ogundimu following his escape.

Following his escape, Doomfist and Reaper discussed recent incidents carried out by Talon, including the failed assassination attempt on Katya Volskaya under Vialli's orders and the assassination of Mondatta by Widowmaker. He then travelled to a casino in Monaco with Widowmaker and Sombra to meet with another member of the organization's inner council, Maximilien, who reaffirmed his loyalty to Doomfist's cause and warned him of rivals within the organization who were unhappy with his return. There he and Widowmaker were attacked by Vialli's men, though the pair defeated them easily

Doomfist, Reaper, Sombra, and Widowmaker later attended a masquerade ball in Venice, Italy, which was being used as cover for a clandestine meeting of Talon's leadership. While his cohorts eliminated security and other targets, Doomfist confronted Vialli on a bridge. Though Vialli claimed that there was nothing personal behind his actions and that he was simply looking out for the well-being of the organization, Doomfist threw him from a bridge to his death, declaring that Talon is not a group of criminals concerned only with profit. Doomfist and Reaper then entered a secret boardroom where they met with Maximilien and other members of the inner council to discuss his plans to start a new war.

Some time later, Doomfist traveled to Numbani to recover his gauntlet, which was being transported to the city's Heritage Museum for a Doomfist exhibit as part of their Unity Day celebration. Confronted by a team of newly-introduced OR15 defense robots, Doomfist easily defeated them in the Adawe International Terminal of the Numbani airport, reclaiming his gauntlet, ready to take revenge on the Overwatch organization that had imprisoned him for years.

  • Humanity has always been tested. Conflict and war is the crucible
through which we evolve. Every battle makes us stronger. Those who fall
will be forgotten. Those who rise up? Their names will be remembered
    forever.

  • Only through conflict do we evolve.

  • Once the mission starts, no more messing around.

Lena Oxton

Occupation

Adventurer
Pilot (Formerly)
Overwatch Agent (Formerly)

Base

London, England

Affiliation

Overwatch (formerly)

Relations

Emily (girlfriend)

The former Overwatch agent known as Tracer is a time-jumping adventurer and an irrepressible force for good. She hails from London, and has traveled all over the world.

She was a great admirer of Tekhartha Mondatta, and was inspired by Mei, an Overwatch scientist.

Lena Oxton (call sign: "Tracer") was the youngest person ever inducted into Overwatch's experimental flight program. Known for her fearless piloting skills, she was handpicked to test the prototype of a teleporting fighter, the Slipstream. But during its first flight, the aircraft's teleportation matrix malfunctioned, and it disappeared. Lena was presumed dead.

She reappeared months later, but her ordeal had greatly changed her: her molecules had been desynchronized from the flow of time. Suffering from "chronal disassociation," she was a living ghost, disappearing for hours and days at a time. Even for the brief moments she was present, she was unable to maintain physical form. Sometimes she had strange dreams about the past, including being a kitchen maid at a large house in the country.

Overwatch's doctors and scientists were stumped, and Tracer's case seemed hopeless until a scientist named Winston designed the chronal accelerator, a device capable of keeping Tracer anchored in the present. In addition, it gave Tracer the ability to control her own time, allowing her to speed it up and slow it down at will. The effects of the accident also gave Tracer unique ageing properties.

Seven years before the present day, after the incident, Tracer underwent training to become an Overwatch agent, and trained under the supervision of Winston and Dr. Ziegler at the Overwatch Headquarters' Training and Evaluation facility, where she sparred against Blackwatch agent Genji. Under supervision, Dr. Ziegler commented on how if no setbacks occurred, she was fit for active duty; a sentiment Winston agreed with. On the 27th day of the King's Row Uprising, Strike Commander Jack Morrison was impressed by Lena's skills with her chronal accelerator. Summoning her to his office, Morrison stated how he was impressed by her determination to stay with Overwatch despite her recent accident. Noticing images of London burning on a viewscreen in Jack's office, Lena commented on her belief in Overwatch's mission. After confiding in Lena his motivations in joining Overwatch, Jack dismissed Lena with the implied knowledge that he approved her request to be promoted to active duty.

Lena Oxton then appeared at an Overwatch aircraft where Dr. Ziegler, Torbjörn, and Reinhardt Wilhelm were preparing to embark on an unsanctioned Overwatch mission authorized by Jack Morrision, who was moved by Lena's words to end the Kings Row Uprising in London. Ziegler told Lena how the team was invested in her career, and how Jack was fond of her. Reinhardt welcomed her to the team, and Torbjörn grudgingly referred to her arrival by saying, "look's like the cavalry's here." A phrase which Lena took a liking to. The team fought their way through the streets, even as hordes of Null Sector omnics tried to bar their way. Null Sector was defeated, but the events that transpired were classified within Overwatch's archives.

With her newfound skills, Tracer became one of Overwatch's most effective agents. At some point she was stationed at Watchpoint: Gibraltar.

Alongside Winston and Genji, Tracer battled Doomfist. Her agility and speed couldn't be matched by Doomfist, but her pulse pistols had little effect on the man, either being deflected by his gauntlet, or bouncing off some kind of shield. She was caught off-guard when Doomfist suddenly grabbed her chronal accelerator in mid-air and crushed it in his hand, causing Tracer to blink rapidly, and vanish. Following her disappearance, Winston became enraged and defeated Doomfist in a close quarters clash. Tracer's chronal accelerator was repaired or replaced sometime after.

After Overwatch's dissolution, Tracer continued to right wrongs and fight the good fight wherever the opportunity presented itself.

Years after Overwatch's disbandment, Tracer was contacted by Winston as he issued a recall order for Overwatch agents. She commented that they'd been out of touch for too long; an assessment that Winston agreed with. Tracer was in East England at the time.

A few hours after her talk with Winston, Tracer was present in King's Row, as Shambali leader Tekhartha Mondatta addressed a joint human-omnic crowd. She came to suspect there would be an assassination attempt, which would be correct and she confronted Widowmaker among the rooftops. The two carried out a run and gun battle, but despite her efforts, Widowmaker successfully assassinated the omnic. Enraged, Tracer tackled Widowmaker, demanding to know why she had done this. Chuckling, Widowmaker easily incapacitated her and departed in a Talon aircraft.

Widowmaker and Reaper attacked a museum dedicated to Overwatch, trying to steal Doomfist's gauntlet. Tracer fought them alongside Winston and the villains were forced to retreat. Tracer complimented two young boys that had helped her in the aftermath, commenting that the world could always use more heroes.

During the winter holiday season, Tracer sought to pick up a gift for her girlfriend, Emily in King's Row. After blinking to numerous stores, Tracer was unable to find a gift owing to stores either being closed, or in one instance allowing another patron to keep a scarf that they were about to purchase. Ultimately, a small girl gave Tracer a gift and thanked her after she retrieved her family's stolen gifts from a thief earlier that night. Arriving home, Tracer gave the gift to Emily, which to her surprise was the scarf she sought to purchase earlier. Emily loved the gift, and the two kissed. Later, Tracer and Emily went to visit Winston for dinner at Watchpoint: Gibraltar, who was about to spend the holidays alone with Athena. Tracer then reminisced about the events of the past year, and had a good feeling about the next one.

  • So, you want to hear my story. It all started a few years ago.
Overwatch was looking for a hotshot pilot to test their next-generation
teleporting fighter: The Slipstream. Enter: Lena Oxton (call sign:
“Tracer”). [giggles] That’s me! It was the opportunity I had trained for
my whole life. But on my first flight, the teleportion matrix
    malfunctioned; and I disappeared.

  • (TRACER TO SOLDIER)
Sir, do you want to know why I stuck with this? Why I decided to
leave the flight test program and begin training as an Overwatch agent?
It's because I believed that if I could figure this out, I could be an
asset. I could make this world a better place. I fought to survive, and
I'm willing to fight for the world, too.

Fareeha Amari (daughter)

One of the founding members of Overwatch, Ana uses her skills and expertise to defend her home and the people she cares for. Hailing from a long line of decorated soldiers, Ana inspired confidence and loyalty in her colleagues and endowed her daughter, Fareeha Amari — Pharah, with an intense sense of duty and honor. Like her daughter, she bore a tattoo of an Eye of Horus as a symbol of protection. Likewise, her callsign in the Egyptian Military during the Omnic Crisis was "Horus."

Ana is regarded as one of the world's deadliest snipers. She originally used a Kinamura rifle, upon which she added a notch for every life she took. Each life weighed heavily on her conscience, and while some snipers preferred to wound targets, in order to lure out more potential targets, she preferred to perform clean kills, disliking causing needless suffering. Her right eye, originally cybernetic, made her vision six times greater than normal, to the extent where she rarely even needed to use the scope.

As the Omnic Crisis inflicted a heavy toll on Egypt, the country's depleted and undermanned security forces relied on elite snipers for support. Among them was Ana Amari, who was widely considered to be the world's best. Her superior marksmanship, decision-making, and instincts made her a natural selection to join the Overwatch strike team, of which she was one of the founding members. Overwatch successfully ended the war. At some point in time, she met the wife of fellow agent Gérard Lacroix, Amélie Lacroix. Two weeks after Amélie was rescued by Overwatch from being kidnapped, Gérard was killed and Amélie was believed to have been kidnapped once again.

Following the success of Overwatch's original mission, Ana served for many years as Strike Commander Jack Morrison's second-in-command. She raised her daughter, Fareeha, during this time, instructing her in martial arts. Despite her responsibilities in leading the organization, Ana refused to step away from combat operations. She was aware of her daughter's desire to join Overwatch herself, but Ana was against it. This led to a strained relationship between mother and daughter. She remained on active duty well into her fifties, and was stationed at Watchpoint: Gibraltar at some point.

even years before the present day, the King's Row Uprising occurred. Alongside Morrison and Reyes, Ana listened to Jesse McCree, who was on the ground in King's Row, observing Null Sector's actions. Ana asked Reyes what McCree was doing in London, since Blackwatch operations were suspended. Reyes evaded answering the question. To Ana's frustration, the prime minister still refused to allow Overwatch to intervene. In conversation with Morrison, Ana admitted wanting to do something, but while Morrison shared that desire, Overwatch had come under unfavorable scrutiny recently, and they could ill afford another public relations nightmare.

Morrison relented, and sent agents Mercy, Tracer, Reinhardt, and Torbjörn to end the crisis. Ana gave status updates to the four agents

Ana's last mission was an anti-Talon operation conducted by Overwatch, part of a force led by Jack Morrison which rescued a number of scientists that Talon had taken hostage. While Overwatch was successful in this regard, the Talon operative known as Widowmaker was able to take out a number of agents. The operation led to a sniper duel between her and Ana, as they made their way throughout the urban terrain. Ana was able to temporarily incapacitate Widowmaker, hitting her in her helmet. But upon seeing Widowmaker's face, she froze, recognizing her as Amélie. It was all the time Widowmaker needed to take her own shot, shooting Ana through the scope of her rifle and into her right eye. It was believed that the shot killed her.

In truth, Ana survived that encounter, despite being gravely wounded and losing the eye. The world believed that she was dead. During her recovery, she wrestled with the weight of a life spent in combat, and she chose to stay out of the world's growing conflicts. However, as time passed, she realized she could not sit on the sidelines while people threatened her city and the innocents around her. Thus, Ana rejoined the fight to protect her country from the forces that would destabilize it, and most importantly, to keep her family and her closest allies safe. She wrote a letter to her daughter, explaining her absence.

Continuing her fight for justice, Ana operated under the alias of "Shrike," and was wanted for espionage, assault, and theft in Egypt. She used the Necropolis as her base of operations. Disguised as a masked bounty hunter, Ana sabotaged several Talon operations in Egypt, drawing attention from Reaper and his associate Hakim, as well as Jack Morrison. The conflict came to a head when Ana and Morrison were lured into a trap at Hakim's compound in Giza, leading to a battle between the three former comrades. Though Ana sided with Jack and forced Reaper to retreat after unmasking him, she was disturbed by his visage and parting words, reminding her that Overwatch had been responsible for their suffering. Following the encounter Ana explained that she cared about Jack, not the war he was fighting, and resolved to watch over him as the two departed.

After reuniting in Egypt, Ana and Jack spent Christmas together.
