Well hello there!
Without further ado - We are looking for someone to create concept artwork for 6 characters for an original comedy witch series in the making.
The first thing we are looking to get animated is the theme music intro for this show. We have music already composed for it. We did speak with artists about storyboards, but after much thought, felt that if we get full concept artwork created for them. This would make life easier. Therefore, this is what we are looking for now!
We are looking for concept art for 6 characters, which include:
- Witch
- Castle Butler
- Castle Maid
- 6ft earthworm (monster)
- Amanda (witch’s cousin)
- Black cat
We have reference pictures of each character and even some artwork already commissioned of the characters which may help. (The project picture being one).
But we are needing the full design of the characters so we can progress into making the animation.
We found that most artists that reached out for the storyboards in the past would show examples of sweet/cute characters.
Therefore, we would like to highlight - That all these characters are NOT nice! We are looking for a more gritty/tough look. Not too dark and gothic, (since it will be a comedy show) but quirky, rough around the edges so to speak. The characters bar the 6ft earthworm, mostly all frown and twist their faces at one another. The witch and her black cat are so delusional they need to have that snobby air about them too, when not frowning in annoyance at the idiocy of everyone else around them.
If you can do storyboards and animation. Don’t hesitate to mention that in your submission too as this would be very useful for us in the developments of this show.
This is all independently funded so please do not apply if the set fee is too low for you. Fully understand.
We wish we could offer more, but at this stage and with further planned developments to the show which we obviously will be paying for, our budget is quite tight.

Thank you all for applying, there is SO much talent!! We will be reviewing over all auditions and contacting people who we would like to move forward with in this stage. But once again, if not chosen this time we will more than likely be contacting people at a later date for the pilot episode of this project. Or for other projects we have in the pipeline.

Last week we opened up a storyboard artist role! So if you can do/want to do both of the concept artworks and storyboards let us know in one of your submissions, or feel free to apply to both with different examples of your work! The flat fee would be $140 for that.
Since the turnout for the concept art roles have been great - Things are looking to be moving faster than we thought.
So, we have opened up Animators auditions for this 1 minute 30 seconds music video (opening theme music visuals). We already have a shooting script and music composed.
