(Original Project) Heterochromiacs Animatic Project

Project Overview

An original project that I've been working on with two of my friends for the past five years, I've finally decided to bring it to school to make an animatic for a final project. This is mainly a passion project brought to life, and I hope to bring it to the animation industry when I graduate. The animatic will mainly be short, only around 2 minutes, but I still need some lines in order to make it successful.


The setting for this is 200 years in the future where people who have heterochromia have powers, but they're hunted down by the evil organization to keep them controlled and contained due to people fearing them. The genre is a mix of sci-fi and fantasy with themes of dystopia.


The animatic will feature a news cast on a screen detailing the threat of the Heterochromiacs, but will be cut off as Drew reacts to it, with Darcio coming to check in on them. Drew will get frustrated before going to leave for a mission, despite how late it is, leaving Darcio behind to worry about them.

  • Darcio Auditions

    Hello everyone!! Hope you’re doing well! We’re so close to the casting call being done, woah!!!

    However as we’re approaching the end, I’m realizing I have a lot of imbalance between Drew and Darcio’s number of auditions! Which is slightly concerning, as I was hoping I would get more by now, but in times like these, we adapt!

    If any of those who happened to audition happen to know others who would fit for Darcio, please send them the link! (HE DOES NOT NEED AN ACCENT, IT’S JUST OPTIONAL). I almost might consider a few of those who auditioned for Drew for Darcio as well. And if that’s the case, please reach out to me privately if you would not want to be casted as him.

    Besides that, look out after Friday ends for me to reach out to those casted!

  • ANIMATIC WORK HAS STARTED!

    Hope you all are having a wonderful day so far!

    Just reminding everyone that the due date once again is the 17th, which is almost two weeks! I'm still taking auditions, so if you happen to know anyone who would want to apply, please send them this project!

    Earlier this week I have officially started drawing the animatic! My personal goal is to have who gets the role a rough storyboard so they understand the direction for the project. I'm doing pretty well so far, and hopefully this shouldn't be impacting you all who are auditioning, but I'll post an update if needed.

One of the main characters of the project: Drew Hunte.


Drew is a nonbinary (AMAB) older teenager, around 19 years old. They come off as slightly intimidating and a lone wolf, but are actually kind and caring when you get to know them. They are strong and powerful, but keep their special abilities in check and only use them when fighting against an evil organization that took their younger sister and killed their parents five years ago. They live with their close friend, Darcio Grierson, who is the other option I have available to audition for.

While I'm open to all interpretations, I personally view Drew sounding like Rylan Strachan's performance of Katsuhira Agata from KIZANIVER's English Dub.

One of the main characters of the project: Darcio Grierson.


Darcio is a male young adult, around 22 years old. He is a sassy but open and welcoming guy, and becomes more motherly towards you the more he gets to know you (this is partially because he is the oldest out of 16 adopted siblings, he is the only biological child of his parents). Despite that, he is an absolute powerhouse, but only he reserves that for when he is fighting against an evil organization that continues to harm people like him. He lives with his close friend, Drew Hunte, who is the other option I have available to audition for.

While I'm open to all interpretations, I personally view Darcio sounding like Matthew Mercer's performance of Levi Ackerman from Attack on Titan's English Dub.


He does have a Romanian mother and a Spanish father, and while Darcio can speak Spanish, he most likely won't be using it for this project. You can provide variations of the lines for the audition with an accent for either if you wish.
