Project Overview
OmegaLight Studios is an organization working to create content based around the current unpublished Omega Event, Jade Stranger, and DragonLight Online book series written by AnikanDarkness (the director of OmegaLight Studios), specifically audiobook adaptations, music covers, and other short videos. We have produced a small number of chapters of the original draft of DragonLight Online, have recently begun work on the Jade Stranger audiobook adaptation, and are nearly complete in our adaptation of the first novel in The Omega Event line (with plans to eventually work on an adaptation of the sequel novel: The Omega Event 2: Fear The Zions).
Currently we are looking to recast two of our lead roles: the protagonist of The Jade Stranger series Ben Jackson, and the protagonist of The Omega Event series Anikan Sestral due to our former VA's being unable to continue work on the project. If you feel like you'd like to take a shot and audition for a chance to portray these roles, please leave your audition below! The Omega Event is a series in the OmegaLight Universe focusing on an apocalyptic world, frought with death and danger around every corner. The first book follows a group of teenagers who discover a warning over the "end of the world" and soon come to realize that warning is indeed the truth when their own worlds begin crumbling around them. With the government trying to silence the truth, and a monstrous plague spreading across the country, the eight teenagers set off on a journey to escape their impending doom as society begins to crumble. The following novels continue this story into their post-apocalyptic world, as they try to survive the dangers left behind and attempt to rebuild a new society in the wasteland.
The Omega Event audiobook project is an audio drama adaptation of one of the later drafts of the original written work, voiced by an original hardworking cast of voice actors with added sound effects, visuals, and other additions to make the videos more immersive. The writing and storytelling will differ in some ways to the final written project when it is eventually published, but a majority of storytelling beats will stay the same. We are currently 23 / 30 chapters (plus a prologue and epilogue) into the story, and hope to finish the last seven by the end of the year.
The Jade Stranger series is an 6 - 8 episode book series taking place in the OmegaLight Universe focusing on the superhero The Jade Stranger and his adventures and endeavors protecting the dangerous city of New York. Taking place three years before and featuring a few characters from The Omega Event, the first novel follows Ben Jackson, a young teenage boy with a hero complex who gains the power to control quantum particles: an energy field that can be shaped into anything he desires. He decides to use his newfound powers, against the wishes of his family, to become the first superhero the world has ever seen in decades. The first book serves as his origin story, while the following books follow his growth both as a person and a hero, and the relationships and powers of the people around him.
The Jade Stranger audiobook recently began last year, before our studio took a temporary hiatus due to personal issues. However, we are working to get back on track and release new chapters on a monthly to bi-weekly basis. We've adapted the prologue and two chapters the book so far, with twenty four in total before we are finished with the first novel.

Anikan Sestral is a very quiet and calm individual, or at least he was before the world went to shit, and he was forced to step up and become the leader of his ragtag group of friends. Due to his quiet nature, he often receeds from conversations, causing him to become extremely sharp-eyed and observant. One of his main traits people around him comment on is his optimism, often being mistaken for pure stubbornness, as he refuses to give up no matter how grim the situation may look. Throughout the first book he slowly grows out of his shell, learning to take command of his friends and lead them through the danger as they fight to survive, and he's forced to carry the burden of making the hard life and death decisions for not only himself, but everyone he loves.
This role is a recast of a prior role, one that was portrayed by a different VA for a majority of the project so far. I am looking for someone with a similar sounding voice, or at least someone who's voice wouldn't be a drastic change from our former voice actor's portrayal. However, I am accepting of all auditions, no matter the voice or tone. (Hopeful, Calm) "We're all tired, scared, and we're trapped. The world outside is burning, and all the people we know are dead. But we're still alive. And as long as there is life in my lungs, I'm going to keep fighting so that maybe someday we can fix all of this, and make society the way it used to be. Hell... better than it used to be. I'm not forcing any of you to fight alongside me, but I'm prepared to head out their and fight till I can't anymore. So if you're with me... pick up your gun and let's go."
(Calm, Injured, Sad) “No… look man I’m not gonna make it. We both know that it’s only a matter of time until the infection spreads, and I become one of them. And when I do, you need to be the one to put me down Dominic.”
(Angry, Fed-up, mildly tipsy) "Stop talking like that Quinn! Logic this, logic that! You are a human Quinn, not a fucking robot! So stop acting like you don't give a shit about any of us and help me come up with a plan so our friend doesn't fucking die!"
Ben Jackson is the protagonist of The Jade Stranger series He is an overachiever who constantly overworks himself to try and prove himself to society. Ben juggles many hobbies in his life, including developing an Indie Game, working at a homeless shelter, and eventually his hero duties. He lives in a mansion on the outskirts of New York City with his younger sister Katherine and his caretaker Steven, due to his parent's absence. He is the son of two renown researchers, and though he lives a privileged and high class life, he tries to use that wealth to help others. Due to past trauma, he has a hero complex where he wants to help as many people as possible, no matter what the cost. While is rarely nervous, and is confident in his words and actions unlike many others.

(Happy, Assuring, Calm) "I know what I'm getting into Steven, but I'm safe. I have the power to protect others and myself, so don't worry about me."
(Angry, Fed up, Irritated) “Yeah I’m not going anywhere. I thought that leaving my life as a hero behind and trying to start fresh in Detroit would fix all the problems in my life… but it’s only created more. He killed Josh, and for that, I’m gonna kill him.”
(Betrayed, Enraged, Upset) "you knew this whole time... you knew who I was... and you tried to kill me! You stabbed me, locked my body in a crate and threw me in the sea! You left me in a burning warehouse to die, and you forced me to hurt all those people! You lied to me Uncle James... YOU LIED TO ME!"
