    Hello everyone.

    Once again, I just wanted to say that I'm blown away by the responses here. The auditions coming in are really incredible, and we have our work cut out for us narrowing it down.

    If you see that we haven't listened to your submission yet, don't worry. We are doing this approach:

    1. I'm going through each of them one by one
    2. I'm updating a spreadsheet for the shortlist to share with my team working on this
    3. They are updating that spreadsheet with notes.

    (I really need to build team functionality within CCC. Glaring omission!)

    It would be great if we can find one narrator for all the roles, but the possibility of having more than one is growing with each day. Your voices are just too perfect for certain roles.

    Announcements for the cast will happen as soon as we are confident in our choices. We will privately contact you first.

    The book itself is in the editing phase. Two separate editors independently have it in their hands.

  • Multi-cast announcement

    Wow, I am blown away by your submissions. I've got a massive list in a spreadsheet that I'm trying to narrow down right now.

    After showing a few of them to the publishing team, we are opening the possibility of doing a multi-cast, much like the Brandon Sanderson audiobooks.

    There are two POVs in this book, a male and a female, so we are going to separate it as such. A female narrator will read the female POV and the female characters, and vice versa.

    That said, it is still possible that we may go with just one narrator for the whole thing, so if you want to audition for both parts, that's totally fine.

    1. If you have already auditioned and are happy with your current take, there's nothing for you to do.
    2. If you want to audition for a specific voice (male/female), I've opened those up below
    3. Please be aware, that you must read the first 10 chapters of the script on Royal Road before auditioning. This is a challenging job, and I want you to know what you're getting into.

  • Resubmit Auditions with no Sound

    It's come to my attention that roughly 1082 auditions on Casting Call Club submitted in the last 24 hours have not had an audio file attached to them.

    I've since fixed the issue on the site, but unfortunately those auditions were lost to the angry internet gods.

This is the narrator of the audiobook. It requires many different voices. There are required accents. The only 4 required accents are:

  • Posh british ageless (male or female)
  • Cockney British or Scottish in his 50s (male)
  • Midwestern USA in her 20s (female)
  • Mild slavic/russian in his 40s (male)
You are required to audition for all four + your generation narration voice.

Narrator: 

Mindt felt a smile on her face. This was beautiful. The sights, sounds, and smells tickled her senses, and she thought of the lifelessness she felt walking through the London airport's shops just a day before. No shopping center in the world could match what she felt there in Equinox. No city in the world felt so alive. Was this how life was like before Nous? Was the age of the Internet like this? How far back in time would she have to go to feel this alive?


Posh British ageless (male or female):

"Oh... oh dear. I regret to inform you that we appear to have experienced what one might call a... slight... monetary reorganization without your consent. Your gold, which I had meticulously organized by mint date and shine factor, has... has... It's VANISHED! The thieves didn't even have the common courtesy to leave a receipt!


Cockney British or Scottish 50s (male):

Dead Internet Theory, they called it. Well, it weren't theory after all. Thousands of AIs, probably millions of them flooded everything with information. All the social channels. All the news websites. Even the business websites. Just AIs posting information, and other AIs reading what the first AI said and replying with even more useless shit.


Mild slavic/russian 40s (male):

It has been the security AI for at least a decade, and has never been beaten until now. It is configured to lock ports, rotate keys, designed the system so that social engineering cannot be used


Midwestern USA 20s (female):

That wasn't real. We are trapped in this game. These things are meant to end our very lives. Think of your family. There will be many more challenges ahead. Probably morally worse than this, I think.

But I don't like blood and you have to kill things with your claws, so that was a no go. Oh! And then I thought about a lamia, those wood ladies with the boobs. I mean wow, mega hot! But then I read they ate children.

I thought you'd never ask. Here's the rundown. Jiem has updated all of your Nous apps to assist in the game. Your Wellness app will now update you on various health related statuses, like being poisoned, cursed, et cetera. It will also alert you if anything is going on with your real body, like if you're hungry.


Midwestern USA last 20s (female):
