Project Overview
Who Are We?
Ceragon Dubs is a fandubbing group that is currently dubbing over Shall We Date? otome games by the company NTT Solmare. Some of these projects include Wizardess Heart, Lost Alice, and Blood In Roses. In the past, we had dubbed some Webtoon comics, however, due to Webtoon's Daily Pass introduction, they had to be cancelled. The current focus of the channel and production is bringing otome games to life by voice acting.
VOICE ACTOR Rules/Auditioning Guidelines:
1. Before auditioning you must keep in mind these are short term projects that shouldn't take more than a month to complete. The plan is to only do the prologues, however, if the video does well with the audience I may consider doing a longer fandub. However, it is very unlikely. 2. You do not need a discord account for any of the VOICE ACTING roles. The only exception to this will be Harold's & Chica's understudies, as well as Kaito. I will still send you the link, incase you want to join to help me out with extra characters in the future, but you don't need to join it. These characters don't have that many lines so this will be the only rare occasion you will not need a discord for my casting call.
3. All auditions submitted must be professional. (No outta takes/messing up mid-line, music in your file, arguing with your family in the audition, etc.)
4. Submit 2-3 takes per line, each with different intonations(if you don't know what that means, then different line deliveries/emotions. "Takes" in the voice acting field means "repeating the line") When lines are being sent out, I WILL be requiring multiple takes. Doing multiple takes in your audition helps me know I can trust you to follow my instructions, and helps me get a better idea of your acting.
5. DO NOT AUDITION if you do not like scripts being sent as videos! It is important that each auditioner understands this. It should not come across as a shock when you start doing official lines that there are no text scripts being provided. Here is an example of what scripts will look like.
6. Due to the amount of characters that are in need of casting, you are allowed to audition for multiple characters. However, it goes without saying that it does not guarantee you'll be casted for any or all roles you audition for.

1. Please do not apply for any position if you will not be reliable, or if you will leave the server once I start sending out assignments.
2. Include your discord in the notes or comments of your application. You will be part of the behind-the-scenes staff on the channel, so it is very important you are on the production server with the other cast.

Otome Summary:
Ninja Shadow: Saori Shishido joins the Nagasaki Vigilante pretending to be her (recently deceased) brother. One the senior ninjas must become her instructor and support her throughout her first few missions. The feelings of trust eventually turn into something else, and Saori starts to see her instructor as something more. Nobody suspects that Saori is a girl, so she has to do everything she can to keep her true identity a secret.

Love Tangle: The otome is set at a luxurious apartment in Kaleido City, and is called Lilac Court. Many celebrities reside here. One day, Julia moves in to start her new life at Lilac Court. As she starts to get to know the men living there, she ends up being trapped into a love triangle.

A few years back, I used to have an artist team helping out with thumbnail representation. It had been disbanded due to it no longer being a team effort. Long story short, the same 2-3 people kept doing all the work and I felt it was not fair for them to have to step up all the time.
How will this work? Thumbnail work is on a voluntary basis. The team will also have to work together to get assignments done. Work will be split into three positions: sketching, lineart, and coloring/shading. You do NOT have to draw backgrounds unless you want to! Otherwise, in-game backgrounds will be provided. Aspect ratios for thumbnails must ALWAYS be 16:9 or 1280x720 pixels.
The sketch artist will always be the one deciding how the thumbnail will go. When I give out assignments, I will be giving ideas of what I would like for the thumbnail, but ultimately it is up to the sketch artist. They can go with their own idea, or pick one of mine.
I'm not sure if there will be many artists applying, so for now, there will be 1-2 thumbnail assignments per month. Each artist has 2 weeks to get their portion of the work done. If you are doing your own sketches, inking, and coloring, you will get a month to get everything done. So work will kind of be going at a fast pace.
When submitting your application, in the notes of your audition please let me know which of the following positions you are interested in: sketches, lineart/inking, coloring/shading, or all of the above. If you prefer to do your own work with no help, it would help for you to mention that as well please!
If you do an assignment one month, you will be exempt from doing another assignment the next time one is assigned. That way, everyone pitches in to help!

I couldn't quite find a role that best suits this position, so I went with the Director role. If no one in the mod team is online, you may also be require to help new members get settled in/sort out fights going on in the server. The cast does not talk much in the server so I highly doubt it will ever come to sorting out an argument, but if it does I need to let you know ahead of time so you are fully aware of the responsibilities and what you may be getting in to. You technically are second in command directly after a director(Samantics & I), but your main priority is to help me out with behind the scenes work.
Assistants will pretty much be mini-directors because they are the main staff team and will be given the most amount of work. This role is heavy in both work and responsibility. Assistants will help me keep track of deadlines, send reminders when lines are due, help hand out assignments, hand out strikes, casting opinions, POSSIBLY writing short stories (idea still a work in progress), etc. You'll pretty much be helping me with whatever I need help with.
I know that to submit an application for this role you'll need to attach a link. You can just put a google doc link and in that link please answer that following:
- What is your availability? Are you very free, semi-free, or rarely free?
- I am now requiring assistants to be a section leader. What that means is they will be in charge of a certain section to help me keep track of due-dates for/assign stuff for. I will be needing editors for our comic dubs. At the moment, I am no longer able to do comic animations/edits due to my limited resources(I previously did them on a phone). If you are able to slight animations(example blinking/mouth movement) that would be cool, but of course, is not required. Just the basic making text disappear/reappear woks. Please attach any comic dubs you've made, or any video you have edited!
It would be very helpful if you know how to do a bit of audio engineering. I will try my best to make sure audio levels are balanced, but I will admit that I am not the best at making these corrections.

With how big of a project Wizardess Heart is, I'm planning on multi-routing. What that means is I plan to post multiple route dubs all at once on the channel. I'm not sure if I will have the editor team help me out with route dubs (because that is a TON of work) or spin-offs(side stories). I think I might just have you guys work on side-stories, because they are fairly easy to do and the finished product ends up being about 5 minutes. Side stories usually only feature a few characters, and are not as hard to edit as a route upload. Either way for this I will need a bit of help because as much as I'd like to, I cannot handle all of the editing on my own.
I will be providing you with everything you will need to edit the videos. In addition, I will be cutting down the voice cast's lines so that instead of the editing team getting the entire file (with all 4 takes), you will be getting either 1 official take, or even two. Pretty much all you will be doing is copying and pasting the lines, music, and SFX where I will be telling you to.
I will also try my best to make sure audio levels are balanced so you do not have to do that much, but I'm not an expert audio engineer. So it would help a ton if you know a bit of engineering or know how to balance audio levels. Most likely, deadlines to complete a video will be 1-3 weeks(depending on the length), but if you're able to get that sooner the better. Video editors may also be required to help me edit other videos, including but not limited to: Podcasts, Q&A videos, meme videos/outtakes, etc. I will try my best to handle this all on my own though so that you don't have to go the extra mile!

Please do not audition if you are a minor. In Chapter 2, this character has sexual relations with another. Though it is not explicit (moaning) and not that descriptive, I do not want a minor taking part in any of this. If you are not going to be comfortable with the scene as well, I'd highly advise that you do not audition.
Harold, also known as "Dark Lord of the Night" was the previous owner of Hotel Libra Sincera. During his reign over the castle like hotel, he met Tatiana, a young witch who had ventured from the other side of the forest. Tatiana claimed that vampires were destroying her village and attacking her people. With this encounter, Harold agreed to call back his vampires on one condition: Tatiana must stay at his hotel and live with him. Shortly after, he developed romantic feelings towards the witch and eventually became her lover. From their love, the two created Rosapast: A magical rose that protects the hotel.
Unfortunately, the two could not live in happiness very long. After retuning to her village one day, Tatiana was attacked and tortured by the people she had saved. She passed away, and Hrold was left with fury and immense grief. Harold later took off from the hotel, afraid that he would destroy what he and Tatiana had created together: a hotel where all species could gather and get along. In order to protect the hotel he created a will: "He who is loved by Tatiana's descendant will inherit the hotel."
Harold is the progenitor of vampires, and because of that, is the most powerful vampire in existence. Many vampire families respect Harold and his blood line, treating them with respect as they are considered royalty. At a first glance, he may seem very prideful, cold, and distant. Due to his many years of living, Harold has lost touch with most of his emotions due to the fact that he has lost multiple people close to him.
Voice: Medium to deep pitched range, strong, possibly a bit intimidating, cold, or gruff
[Context: One of Harold's vampires was trying to drink the blood of a human. In anger, Harold kills them]
(Cold, disgusted, irritated. He is not praising the vampire) That was quite courageous of you, trying to sneak a taste before your master.
Upon closer inspection, you have somewhat pleasant features. Perhaps I'll let live as my personal blood bag.
(Loving, gentle, possibly a bit soft) I love you, Tatiana. I will love you and only you for all of eternity.

Chica thinks of herself as a lady and expects Leslie to conduct himself like a butler, whom he disagree with. She also has a crush on the assistant prefect Sigurd. Chica has blue eyes and fur with shades of light salmon and light pink. Like her bat counterparts, Chica has her forelimbs adapted as wings. She also wears a blue necklace. She is also Leslie's familiar. Chica is a Rosaputro, a "true-blue" magical creature similar in appearance with bats, but unlike the garden-variety bat they have higher cognition and perception, being know as highly intelligent, however, are proud and difficult to have a contract with. Rosaputros are also mentioned to have idiosyncratic opinions regarding "beauty" and stick to when finding something of their personal taste. Chica has a crush on Prince Sigurd, so whenever he is around she is overly bubbly and excited, almost like a teenage girl who is in love. If he compliments her she grows excited and showers him with endless compliments

Kaito ws born and raised in the Summer Village, and is next in line to become chieftain. He is the descendent of a legendary fire-manipulating ninja named Enya. However, Kaito is not very proud of being his descendent due to being constantly compared to Enya.
Because he was born in the countryside, Kaito is not very fond of big cities. Because of this, he has trouble getting along with the city folk (more specially Kikyo). Kaito and Kikyo are constantly at each other's throats, making it impossible for them to be in the same room together or even work as a team.
Kaito loves to eat and often consumes an enormous amount of food. He is considered the strongest ninja on the island and can use fire like his ancestor.
Voice: Medium or mid-deep range, possibly a bit gruff and brotherly. It would be nice to voice match his former voice actor, but it is not required to do so.
(Ranting, a tad irritated, also a bit upset) The people of the village always say things like, "your ancestor Enya was blah blah blah!" I'm tired of it. I'm nothing like him!
(A little saddened, worried, making a report) And let's see, what else......the Sea of Lapis is becoming all muddy. I sometimes see dead fish floating up.
(Angry, defensive) Shut up! You city folks are always going too far!!

Ukyo is a man of big heart and principle, who always carries out his words. He is a cheerful, smiley, teasing and child-like redheaded man who doubles as an extremely skilled swordsman. Ukyo loves eating, and has a huge Sweet Tooth. When he is working (whether it be for his day job or as a vigilante), he is very serious and level headed. When he is off of work, he is childlike and lights to fight a lot (in a playful way). Outside the vigilante group, he works as a high-ranked police commissioner. He does have strong emotions, but tries to keep them on check for the sake of everyone.
Voice: Up for interpretation, but a brotherly & cheerful voice on the higher end would also work.

Shintaro is a straightforward person who is loyal to people he is indebted to. He is also a bit on the brawn side, believing that strength is the key to everything. When he first meets "Kaname"(Saori) he frowns because the first thing he notices is how slim his(her) arms are. He then suggests to personally train them.
Voice: Any pitch, possibly a bit gruff. This one is also up for interpretation. Maybe something like elfman from Fairy Tail, but is not needed.

Yuzuki is a gentle-mannered man who pretends to be a hygiene freak. He is also kind, nice, and someone you can depend on if you need anything. At a fist glance, Yuzuki seems like he would be a refined gentleman. He will be friendly or helpful to the male gender, but absolutely cannot stand the female gender. He hates women and wants nothing to do with them. He doesn't even like to be touched by them.
Voice: High to mid-high pitched, a bit soft or gentlemanly

Makoto is a workaholic. He also tends to talk in a harsh or brutal way, and doesn't beat around the bush. Makoto is the leader of the vigilante, so the other ninjas look up to him as their leader. Most of the time he is very serious and strict, but he is also very sharp and perceptive.
Voice: Deep, possibly authoritative and intimidating. Can also be up for interpretation.

Asagi is a mature man who skillfully avoids others when possible. He is also a very talented monk.

Saburo Suetsugu has no regard for human life. If a village who owes him does not pay off their debt, he will burn down their village and find amusement in doing so. He is the worst of the worst, and pretty much exists in the game to be the most unlikeable character. He believes that poor people do not deserve to live, and won't hesitate to kill them himself.
Voice: Possibly deep, and harsh sounding. Can be up for interpretation, as long as he sounds like a jerk/evil guy.
[He is ordering his henchman to burn a village. He is satisfied watching as it burns to the ground]

Joy is a stylist who also lives in the same mansion as the protagonist. Joy is very friendly and perky. She is a good and reliable friend who often gives the protagonist advice when it is needed. She also has a very close relationship with Miguel, and the two are seen almost always joking around with one another.
Voice: Any pitch (preferably on the higher end), friendly
[Context: Miguel threw Joy into the pool when she specifically told him not to]

Ryan is a famous bartender who is has a natural charm that makes him popular with the ladies. He is the other brother of Cody Gray. He is someone who is hard to find, and is also very considerate to his brother.
Voice: Open to interpretation, but has to be on the higher end and friendly

[Context: Cody is inviting the protagonist to Ryan's bar. Ryan doesn't mind of course, he just knows his brother will end up passing the bill onto him]

Cody Gray is a famous actor, and is the younger brother of Ryan Gray. He is frank, ambitious, but also considerate to his older brother. He can be a bit outgoing and teases the protagonist and his other housemates from time to time.
Voice: Open to interpretation.
(Teasing) Oh, hey Ryan! It's the girl who fell in love with you at the airport.
[Context: The protagonist is complimenting Cody on one of his latest performances]

I'm pretty sure this character is hispanic, so if you have hispanic ancestry I strongly encourage you to audition! However, anyone can audition.
Miguel is a famous gold medalist who takes a break from his career. This decision shocks everyone. It is later revealed he does this because he is now afraid of swimming. He is kind and understanding, but always endures pain and hardship on his own. He doesn't show his true feelings or complain to others. Miguel is outgoing and is the type of person anyone can rely on.
Voice: Up to interpretation. Maybe friendly and outgoing could work
(Serious) I've decided to take a break from swimming.

Nolan is a very successful lawyer who has never lost a case once. He has gone through 99 cases, and has won them all. He is ambitious and is also eager to seek fame and wealth. Nolan has a very strict lifestyle, and will eat a small amount of breakfast because it "is important for decision making." Being at the top of his game is very important to him, so he has pride and responsibility in everything he does.
Nolan and Miguel have been friends since high school (over 10 years now).Out of the two, Nolan is the more grumpy one who cares a lot about etiquette.
Voice: Medium to deep pitch, a tad gruff, possibly strict sounding. His voice is also open for interpretation.
[Context: Some reporters are asking Nolan some question. He is kind of just brushing them off and refusing to answer them]

Joshua is the resident's cook/bartender. He often prepares breakfast for the tenants. Joshua is also very friendly to the tenants and cares about each and every one of them a lot.

Naoki is a calligrapher who ran away from his clan. He is a quiet, kind, and very passionate man.
Voice: Up to interpretation. Possibly on the calm, respectful, and quieter side, and lower in pitch
Accent: A slight Japanese accent would be wonderful, but is not needed to audition for him

Carlo is a talented chef who is easy to approach. He is a playful gentleman, who is also popular with the ladies.
Voice: High to medium pitched, maybe a bit flirtatious. Up to interpretation, as long as it remains within the desired pitch range.
Accent: A slight Italian accent would be nice for him, but is not needed in order to audition for him.
