Nightmares - The Dreamer 2 - A Gacha Club Mini Movie

Project Overview

Liam Valley grew up without parents. His mom murdered his dad and almost murdered him as well. It wasn't his mom's fault though. It was Ruth Smith. Ruth would haunt people's dreams to make them go insane and murder their loved ones. Thousands of people have been affected by Ruth, but Liam was one of the very few survivors. He knew what could happen if he ever got close to someone, so he never did. One day, he met this girl he thought was cute. He tried to shake away his feelings, but the next time he saw her, he heard her say that he murdered her in her dream. That was the beginning sign of Ruth starting to make someone insane. This is where the story begins. 

This story is a sequel to my most popular video on my YouTube channel that currently has 14k views. There are a few roles that are already taken due to there already being a first mini movie. This mini movie is expected to be around 45 minutes long, which is 30 minutes longer than the first one. If you audition for one of the main roles, please be willing to do a lot of lines. This story also deals with a lot of darker topics such as suicide, murder, insanity, abuse, and more. If that makes you uncomfortable, I do not recommend auditioning. Although these topics are mentioned, most of them will only be talked about, rather than be shown. Insanity will be a constant topic though, and will be seen multiple times.

Rules:

- You must be 13+.

- You must have discord.

- You must have a decent quality mic.

- When submitting your audition, please give me your discord name and tag so I can invite you to my studio server where I will be giving out most of the information on this project.

- Please do 2-3 takes on your auditions. This will allow me to hear more of your voice.

- If you get a part, please send in your lines by the deadline. I will give you 2 or more weeks to complete your lines, so you should have plenty of time. Also please do not procrastinate either.

- If you get a part, please be willing to redo lines for me. I want this project to be the best that it possibly can be.

- If you have any questions at all, please let me know! I would love to help you out and answer any questions you have.

    I am giving feedback to try to help everyone improve. If I do not give feedback to your audition right away, don't worry, I will get to it eventually. If you do not want feedback, make sure to let me know in your audition description. I will be really picky in these feedbacks, so do not feel bad about yourself if I give you a decent amount of feedback. Also do not feel bad if I give you more feedback than others. I might be pointing out smaller details in your audition, while for someone else, there was just one or two big issue that I wanted to point out. I started off saying this in my feedback, but I felt kind of repetitive, so I'm just going to say this here. Feel free to re-audition if you want to improve your audition. Liam is the main character of this mini movie. He avoids talking to people at all times due to the fear of him becoming a murderer. He wishes that he could talk to people, but he saw his mom almost kill him and actually kill his dad just because she loved them. So Liam doesn't want to take any risks. Because he never talks to anyone, he is socially awkward.

Liam has a medium-range voice. If he was a singer, he would be a baritone. Because he never speaks, his voice is a little raspy.

  • (Low Tone, Almost Regretful, But Angered) Stupid family... They're all going to end up dead one day...

  • (Sighs and thinks the following) I hate this. (Pause) No. I hate everything. (Each line grows in volume and anger) I hate myself. I hate not being able to make friends. I hate not being able to ever date anyone. (Out loud/yelling) I HATE Ruth Smith!!! (Pause to catch breath, then start crying) Why was I cursed enough to survive my mom's murder attempt? I don't want to live like this. (Slight pause to wipe away tears) I wonder if other people are this miserable when they are alone.

  • (Happy) I have to admit, today was wonderful.

Ashlynn Rose is the main female role. She starts off as a plain coffee shop manager. Once she meets Liam everything changes. She is a very head strong girl. She's very intelligent, and she loves meeting new people. She's not afraid of taking risks. 

Ashlynn has a low, strong voice. For this role, you have to be very expressive. 

  • (Welcoming) Hello! I'm Ashlynn and I'm the new manager here! Is there anything I can help you with?

  • (Annoyed) Okay, what’s going on with you? I know you don’t talk that much, but it’s been 10 minutes and you won’t even talk about what just happened.

  • (Mad) Why won’t you stop him then?! Aren’t you the one able to stop that?!

Stacy Lee is a ball of energy. She's Ashlynn and Nina's friend. She loves to have the spotlight on her at all times. She also cares about her friends.

Stacy has a higher voice. It's not really squeaky though. It's also pretty nasally.

Nina Gonzalez is a pretty laid back girl. She is friends with Ashlynn and Stacy. She loves her friends and is there for whatever her friends drag her to do.

Mark Wills is a victim of Ruth Smith. He was driven insane by her dreams, and killed his fiancé. He is locked up in prison, soon to be given a trial. Most likely, he will be put onto death row. 

Mark has a bit of a higher voice compared to Liam, although it's not by much. His voice is not terribly high. This character should be fun to voice act because the voice actor will have to do a lot with their voice. That includes yelling, talking in a crazy yet quiet voice, talking in a normal crazy voice, and laughing crazily. Mark is not at all sane.

  • (Crazy) Oh? These are the people who want to speak with me? (Laughs) I don’t even know them!

  • (Serious/Still a tad crazy) Yes. It was when I heard him yelling “MARK! MARK! PLEASE STOP!!! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?!” that made me start to realize that *I* had gone insane and that **I** had just killed my beloved, and that no matter what **I** did, there was no going back, and that it was all MY DAM FAULT!!!

  • (Furious) HOW DO YOU KNOW ABOUT RUTH SMITH?! HOW DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THAT DEMON?!

Raylee Lee is an officer. She is Stacy's older sister. Raylee is very strong both physically and mentally. She is very friendly, but she knows when to put her foot down.

Raylee has a high voice like Stacy, but it's a tiny bit lower. Raylee's voice is also not as nasally as Stacy, but there is still a little bit of nasal in her voice. Raylee also has a very strong voice.

  • (Annoyed) I’ll send you the picture and you can show “Ashy” later.

  • (Surprised/Sympathetic) I’m..I’m so sorry. You were very lucky to survive. I have not had a single survivor from one of those attacks my entire career. 

  • (Demanding) It’s time for you two to leave now.

Nurse White was Liam's nurse back when he almost got killed by his mom. They are fairly new to the nursing world, and they are really caring to the patients. 

Nurse White can be voiced by anyone at any pitch. The only requirement is that they have to be soft spoken. 

  • (Happy/Surprised) Doctor! I think he's waking up!

  • (Shocked & runs to help him) Please don't sit up that fast! You're still healing! (Takes a deep breath to calm down) Your dad's going to be okay. He's just in a separate hospital right now.

  • (Worried/Sympathetic) Oh my gosh. How are we going to break the news to him? This is going to scar him for life..

Nurse Miller was another nurse working at the hospital Liam was at when he was little. They have worked longer at the hospital, and even though they still care for the patients, they've become a little more desensitized to the bad news than the newer nurses.

Nurse Miller can also be voiced by anyone and can have any pitch of voice. The only requirement is that they sound like they are middle aged and that they have a more serious voice.

  • (Serious) Doctor Lee and Nurse White, may I speak with you in the hallway please? 

  • (Uncomfortable) That's the other thing I needed to discuss with you. Liam's father was declared dead about 10 minutes ago.

While auditioning for this character, DO NOT read all of these lines. Only read 1 of the 3. It's up to you on which one seems the most fun to do. 

Jesse Miller is the main travelling reporter on 105 Lovely News. They, like most news reporters, have a bit of worry in their voice while reporting, but is fairly good at hiding it with a serious tone in their voice. Their voice can be voiced by anyone and can have whatever tone of voice seems best to you. The only requirement is that they have a voice that is interesting to listen to and that can be likable by many. 

  • Another family dead due to their 15 year old son murdering his parents and two younger sisters. They were rushed to the hospital, but none of them survived. Here we have Dr. Ryan. He is a psychologist and he agreed to come here and share his hypothesis about why so many people are dying from their family members.

  • Breaking news! A 25 year old male murdered his fiancé. His name is Mark Wills. He had strangled the 26 year old male, Trevor Jones to death in Lovely Hotel. This murderer willingly let the police take him away after one of the people in the next door room heard struggling. It is said that the murderer begged the police to kill him, but the police refused. Please be careful. At this point, anyone can kill you. That even includes your own mother, father, child, significant other, or friend. Stay safe everyone. Back to you Joe.

  • Breaking News! A group of terrorists that calls themselves “Nightmares” have been on a murder streak. They have killed 100 people across 3 states. Police believe there are 80-1,000 people in this terrorist group, and are worried more may be joining. If you see a piece of paper that says Nightmares on it, please dial 911. That is how these Nightmares show where they have been. Please be safe everyone. This is Jesse Miller with 105 Lovely News, signing off.

Rob & Jim are both co-workers of Liam. One is decently new, and just learned how distant Liam is. The two will be voiced by the same person, but I expect that they sound differently from each other. I do not care what they sound like, as long as their voices seem to somewhat fit them.

  • Rob: (Welcoming) Hello Liam!

    Rob: (Confused) Yo Jim, is Liam deaf or is he just rude?

  • Jim: Oh right. You're new here. Liam always avoids everyone. He might talk to you if the world is ending. It's almost like he doesn't want to get close to anyone.
