Hello! I’m a beginner animation student making a final project for my class. The animated scene I’m working on features characters from a future children's book of mine, “Anca’s Foster Mansion", that has been in development for 6 years now. After re-writing the manuscript many, many, MANY times and re-designing the characters completely, I am far more satisfied with how this book is turning out. This animated short will be presented to my class on December 12th and I’m currently about halfway finished. Due to lack of free time and a sudden rushed deadline, I had to re-storyboard the animated short and replace longer scenes that would take me too long to animate with shorter ones. For one scene, I will have two rats talking to each other and it goes like so;
(For context): The star of the short, Chadwin Von Cheddar, is hammily singing the finale of a song and stretching out every word as much as he can. Anca and co. awkwardly stare at him as he wraps it up. The scene cuts away to two rats hearing Chadwin’s singing from a great distance:
Bearded rat: “Is he doin it again?”
Taller rat: “Yep.”
That’s it! Nothing complicated. They don’t have names by the way, just a couple of random rat bystanders I created in a sketchbook one day. If you have a microphone (I’ll accept any quality for this project) and have time to record a line or two, please audition for one or both characters! I will be tweeting an advertisement for this project with my email attached, so it’s possible I may cast to an off-site actor.
