Project Overview
Summary
Naruto Premium Deluxe+ is a fledgling abridged series. Abridged Series are comedy spoofs of animated shows, rewriting the dialogue and redubbing the characters to lampoon or satirize the original work. In short, NPD+ is a comic fandub.
What I am Looking ForI am seeking solid folks to voice the main and side characters that I won't or can't do myself. Natural timbre, big energy, and comedic timing are my three major requirements. Confident with accents is a big plus. Do not apply if you are younger than 18. Familiarity with the Naruto franchise is not required, but may help. Native English speakers only.
ExpectationsOut the gate, expect amateurish workflow while we establish and get our bearings on this project. I don't need anything from you other than your voice, so promote this project at your own discretion, and I will handle video production, marketing, etc.
I'd like to work directly with you over VoIP. Discord is recommended as it could be our main platform for collaboration but I will work with you if you do not want to use it or wish to use an alternative program. We will work closely together. I need to be able to schedule recordings with you, so if you are unable to commit to regular albeit infrequent sessions, please let me know. I will also be recording lines, and voicing several characters.
This is an unpaid fan project with an undefined timeline for completion. Ideally, Naruto Premium Deluxe+ will cover the entirety of Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, and possibly Boruto. How long that takes will become clearer as the project unfolds. I don't expect to make any money from it. However, if I do, we can discuss fair compensation. It may be a long road!
Expect crude, potentially insensitive humor and blue language. Expect dumb humor. Expect gross-out, sexual, topical, political, or religious humor. If you wouldn't put your voice behind South Park or Family Guy, neither should you for this. This is all not to say I intend to disgust or offend, I just don't want to misrepresent this project as toothless.
Naruto characters have big personalities! So expect a fair bit of shouting in this project.

You will have multiple roles, so I need multiple voices from you! We will not always get them straight, but we can try our best!

There are many female characters in Naruto. You are auditioning for any and everyone of them, but mainly the big ones, Sakura Haruno, Tsunade, Ino Yamanaka, Hinata Hyuga, Tenten, Temari, etc.
Extra points for versatility and multiple voices/accents. I am not really looking for "anime voice." Looking for someone with a natural timbre, comedic tempo, big energy, and ability to take direction and work with a loose script with room for improvisation. Singing ability also a plus. You will play multiple characters.
Please submit your natural speaking voice in addition to anything else you decide to submit. If you submit a demo, please provide a timecode for when your natural voice is playing.
