Mysterious Forum and 7 Rumours | Fandub/Audio Drama
Project Overview
Mysterious Forum and 7 Rumours is a mobile game created by Entabridge Co., Ltd. that can be found here on Google Play. It is primarily a visual novel with some horror and mystery elements to it.
This project will be created as an audio drama. Although it may be a better experience to create it as a direct fandub using footage from the game, the game itself appears to be directly translated from Japanese, meaning that some of the wording is off. I will be rewriting the dialogue of each chapter to make it run smoother as an audio drama.
The game follows 3 high school students: Akane, Shino and Yuuki - the Newspaper Club. The club has an obscure forum where people post their problems, which the club then attempts to solve. The first chapter of the game involves a post about a ghost girl that could end up killing Akane. The club then realises that every rumour posted on the forum - now dubbed the Mysterious Forum - becomes a reality.
Requirements
- Please have a decent microphone with minimal background noise (if needed I can remove this for you, but it's preferable that you do it yourself)
- This fandub will touch on horror topics, as the game itself is a horror game. This mainly includes blood, jump scares and death.
- If you don't get cast, please don't complain about it.
- If you do get cast, please be respectful. Discrimination and bullying are not tolerated in any of my projects.

Akane is a usually bubbly, optimistic character, however she can get scared very quickly. As the creator of the Mysterious Forum, she believes it's her duty to help solve any problems related to it, including the mystery of the first chapter. Shino describes her as having "great observational skills and intuition" which makes her great in on-site investigations. She is good with people, but she normally doesn't handle interviews due to her tendency to go off topic. Akane is in the 11th grade.
A high-ish pitch would be perfect for Akane. The voice actor must be able to give her the energy she needs to thrive, but know how to swap it out for confidence in serious moments.
[this is after Akane is sent the second photo - she's absolutely terrified and fearing for her life] GYAAAAAAA!! NO WAY!! I-it’s like I’m living in a ghost story..!
[starting out fearful, but building up in confidence] ...I am scared. But you know what? ...how do I put this… I felt something… different… earlier.

Shino is probably the most serious out of the main three characters. She normally handles research, since she cannot leave the house late at night (due to a curfew). She will occasionally playfully make fun of Akane, but all in good fun. She's calm, cool, collected and dependable. Shino is in the 12th grade.
A medium - low pitched voice would work for her. It's implied she's from a rich family so her voice should be very crisp with a hint of posh. Her voice should be very calm and rarely show emotion.
[taking the role of a leader, trying to correct Akane's misinterpretation] Akane, you have unexpectedly great observation skills and intuition, so I think you’re suited to on-site investigations.
[almost motherly, trying to make sure everyone's okay] The rumour says that if you see the girl eye to eye, you will be killed. Make sure to keep in contact with each other, alright?
[theorising, getting slightly confused and frustrated towards the end whilst piecing everything together] But she had no option other than to kill someone when they made eye contact before they could understand her. Because she was a part of that rumour… and that rumour was posted to the forum...

Yuuki tends to be more of a coward than the other two members of the Newspaper Club. However, he cares about Shino and Akane and is willing to help out in mysteries where he can. He is fairly protective of the club and wants everyone to stay safe. He is usually chosen to handle interviews, since Akane always goes off-topic. Yuuki is in the 10th grade.
A medium pitch voice would work for Yuuki. Possibly with a hint of awkwardness and a will to help in any way he can. A voice similar to Makoto Naegi from Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc might work, but any voice fitting the descriptor could work.
[show a build up of anger, nothing to big but enough to show it] It used to just be gossip- We should have closed that forum before this scary rumour was posted and someone got involved with it!
[surprised and slightly flustered] What!? You mean I’ll ask girl students there..!?
[serious, giving information and thinking over it] The victim never told anyone about the stalker thing… then she got killed. The criminal did get arrested but the girl who told me all this was in tears.

There are some segments of the fandub that may require narration.
I have no particular voice in mind for the narrator, but it should be smooth and shouldn't show too much emotion, except for where necessary.
Over time, the forum began being called the mysterious forum. If a rumour is posted there, it usually becomes a reality.
They had written something at the top of the forum: "If something stumps you or you want something investigated… we’ll be there!"
They were happy days. Every day was fulfilling. Other people might just see these as ordinary days.

Chapter 1 of the game centres around the mystery of a ghost girl. It is said this ghost girl will send photos of herself to someone's cellphone, and when the victim receives a photo with the ghost girl's eyes open, she will kill the victim when they make eye contact with her. However, it is revealed that this girl was the victim of a stalker homicide, but she didn't tell anyone because she didn't want to get anyone else involved. When Yuuki interviews her friend, she is described as "quiet, but kind and caring towards her friends". She was also known to prioritise others over herself.
The ghost girl's voice should be creepy to start with, but when Akane begins to understand her, she should have a sweet tone to her voice. A medium - high pitch would be preferred, but what matters most to me is your ability to give a creepy vibe whilst also being able to be sweet.
[creepy, almost distant] Anyone is okay.
[starting out creepy, but then turning to a cry for help] Anyone is okay... save me… somebody… save me...
[sweet, with a slight melancholy feel - like you're finally being understood after so long] Thank you for understanding me… for not running away from me.

Ito is a minor character that Yuuki encounters in Chapter 2 of the game. She is very kind and caring towards Yuuki and the two appear to know each other well. Ito owns a dog named Moko and treats her like she's her own child.
Ito's voice should show her age and kindness - a Granny-like voice. She will occasionally talk to her dog, which is when she should have a very sweet, almost patronising tone - like talking to a baby or small child.
[friendly, conversational] You’re out of school, huh? How’s your mother doing?
[apologetic] Sorry about that… It’s not like my baby to do this... [addressing her dog] You love Yuuki, right?
[again apologetic - she doesn't have too many lines in the script] Moko must be in a bad mood today, I’m so sorry.

Mysterious Figure

In Chapter 2, Yuuki feels as if he is being followed by a mysterious figure - said to be a sign of danger. After almost getting killed the previous night, Yuuki goes to the bathroom to find a figure staring at him in the reflection of the mirror. This is the someone that has been following him.
Although it's only one line, the voice actor must make sure it has impact - this is what the entire chapter leads up to.
[creepily, maybe with a bit of annoyance/anger] You should have died.
