My life as a Magical girl teaser: TWO NEW ROLES NEEDED

My life as a Magical girl teaser: TWO NEW ROLES NEEDED

Project Overview

This is for an animated teaser trailer for my upcoming Webcomic "My Life as a Magical Girl". There was already a previous casting call, but I rewrote the script, and now we need two more roles filled!

"My life as a magical girl" follows a depressed teen named Selena who finds a magical talking cat that makes her into a magical girl.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE!

All the roles are being paid 40 cents per word, meaning a lot of the roles have a wide range of prices, which is why Diana is priced differently from June (Diana has 57 words while June has 166 words)

Recording will start in early February, so please be available around the 5th to the 12th of February to schedule a day to record.

Latest Updates

  • Audition closed!

And that's a wrap! I got over 400 auditions! (including the Google form submissions) I'm extremely thankful to everyone who has spent their time sending in their demos/audition. Over the next week, I will be going over the rest of the auditions, so please be patient. Even if you don't get picked, and you're still interested in being a part of "My Life as a Magical Girl," there are going to be more VA opportunities in the future! (This is only a small peek of the future roles I have planned in the near future) I'm so excited to show more of what's been cooking behind the scenes!

Paid: Flat Rate 66 USD
Role assigned to: Star Jackson

Personality: June is a straightforward and blunt person. She can be a bit of a “Goody two-shoes,” which makes her come across as standoffish. Even though she can come off as cold, she only does it out of a place of concern; besides, it's the right thing to do…right?

What I’m looking for: June has an articulate, textured voice. It's not nasally or extremely dorky-sounding. A good reference to check is Taranee from W.I.T.C.H.

  • “Wha-I- WHAT ARE YOU DOING SWINGING AROUND A BAT LIKE THAT??? You know that all sporting equipment is supposed to be stored in your locker, right? It's not even baseball season!”

  • “Rats? Really? This whole commotion is about RATS?!”

  • “She is… surprisingly well behaved for a stray.”

Paid: Flat Rate 22 USD
Role assigned to: Tasmin

Personality: Diana is an outgoing ball of anxiety. Despite trying to come off as the “totally chill mysterious girl next door type,” she comes off more as an awkward rambling klutz that seriously needs to work on her confidence. She can’t help but overthink and might be a tad over-endearing, but she only wants what's best for everyone.

What I’m looking for:

Diana has a youthful, smooth, soft mid-pitch voice. She can be quite animated in her voice, so an actor with a range of emotions is a plus. A good ballpark to aim for is something along the lines of Pomni from “The Amazing Ditgal Circus”, Guinevere from “The Knight of Guinevere”, and Alma from “Monster Hunter Wilds”.

(Would also love to have an actor who has experience in singing, it's not required as she will not have any singing parts in this teaser, but Diana will be singing in future projects.)

Voice description:

  • “OH MY GOD! Is that a kitty? She is so cute! GASP, What’s her name?”

  • “Oh no! She could belong to someone! June, we gotta head to the office!”

  • “I’m BLONDE? HOW AM I BLONDE? How did I-! I mean… do I look good as a blonde at least?”
