My Awkward Youth- Sims 4 VO Series
Project Overview
Hi I'm Star and welcome to my Sims 4 Series "My Awkward Youth".
I love to create and direct little machinimas and stories for fun using the Sims 4, this however will be my first ever voice over project, so this is all new to me so please bear with me!
This is a hobby of mine and a passion project which I will be directing, filming and writing on my own so please be patient with me as these things can take some time.
So far I have about 2 episodes fully written :) and this project will be aired on YouTube with some updates and sneak peaks shown on my Twitter.
Plot Synopsis
Join Aanya and her friends as they navigate the horrors of high school in a 90’s nostalgia fest. Aanya grew up in Willow Creek, resenting her sister for having it all and dreaming of rising above her social ranks. Try as she may, nothing seems to go right for Aanya. She’s clumsy, awkward and a joke amongst her peers. Poor Aanya all she seems to do is embarrass herself!
However one day she realises the things she needed most was right under her nose the whole time. Maybe being popular wasn't what she needed after all?

Clear audio: Make sure there isn't any background noise. You don't need any fancy equipment as long as the audio is clear
Show emotions: Please don't just read of the lines in a monotone fashion (unless of course its requested) Show some emotion and have fun!
I DO NOT work with anyone that shows hatred towards a particular group or minority. If you have any isms/phobic please do not audition for this project.
Once you’re cast, please stick to the deadline, notify me if you need any extensions but if you ghost me I'll have no choice to find a replacement. Respect the other voice actors that are cast and if you have any issues please bring your concerns to me .
Repeat each line 2-3 times, if the role doesn't specify an accent and you can do a range, please audition with different ones.
English isn't my first language so if the line doesn't flow or sounds odd you can change it up!

The plant bestowed upon the town a bountiful harvest of food, wine and gold.
(talking about a magical plant that speaks) It said “Take heed my children. I have rid this village of the Great Suffering. I am the Benevolent, I am Omniscient, I am The Mother. Give yourself to me, worship me and I shall bequeath upon you a rich and endless bounty. That is my gift to you.”
(narrating the story about the magical plant) Each time they worshipped The Mother or ate from her fruit they fell into a deep trance slowly becoming slaves to the deity and losing control of themselves in the process.

BACKGROUND:
Aanya is the main protagonist. Her first appearance is in the first episode, where at age 30
she is narrating her teen life to an interviewer. Aanya grows up in a small town called Willow Creek and lives with her older sister Jaya and her parents Veer and Anjali. Aanya's family grew up poor and resents her sister for being "miss perfect", pretty, smart and popular all the things she thinks she isn't. She is close friends with the neighbours on her street.
PERSONALITY:
Aanya is goofy, clumsy and is slightly childish, which makes her comical. She can be sulky and hot headed at times, but she has a good heart. She's clueless when it comes to style and gets it wrong most of the time, making her the butt of jokes. Most often she's a hot mess, but this just makes her more endearing.

Jaya is part of the main cast. Her first appearance is in the first episode. Jaya lives with her younger sister Aanya and her parents Veer and Anjali. Jaya's family grew up poor. Jaya is top student in high school and is popular. She is used to getting what she wants, and she clashes with her sister Aanya. She thinks Aanya is a loser and they fight a lot. Jaya can appear scary to others.
PERSONALITY:
At first Jaya appears to be quite selfish and hot headed, but deep down she has a soft heart. She tries not to show her softer side, but it sometimes slips. She is smart , popular and a top student. Due to being a hot head and getting what she wants she can be scary to others. She often bullies Aanya.
Throughout the series, Jaya slowly starts letting her walls down and showing her more softer, caring side.

Shayla is also her landlord and Anjali's family live directly next door to Shayla in a small house.

Anjali is committed to being a stay at home mother and is family orientated, she is very strict with money and worries a lot about finances and her children. She has a strong relationship with Shayla and Jeanie.

He is the main breadwinner of the family, his wife is a stay at home mum. Where his wife Anjali is frugal and cautious with money, Veer is the opposite and not great with managing his finances.

Jerrad has several interests and is a geek, he loves to collect things and is childish and soft. He obsesses over certain hobbies, giving his hobbies more attention than anything else. He is also socially awkward and shows signs of being neuro divergent.

Jin did not have a conventional childhood and spends most of his time training and studying so he is not familiar with teen pop culture and slightly out of touch of normal teen life. He is a perfectionist and is dedicated to being an equestrian, he has a big crush on someone, but is shy so hasn't revealed it yet to anyone. He is friends with Reuben, Aanya, Lance and Austin
