This will be a voice-acted MMVS (Maplestory Music Video Series.)
Characters and backgrounds are created from using a version of Bannedstory which are based of characters from Maplestory.
This will NOT be a paid project. Please be ready for a lot of dialogue.
This is a project made for fun and experience!
When We Were Young-
The story overall follows Rose, the secret daughter of the king and queen, who runs away from her terrible parents. She tries to hide her identity and find a new life in a different country, but she runs into some bumps along the way.
There's a lot written out for the story plot-wise, but I'm still working on some of the specifics!
Anyone is welcome to audition!
First round of auditions will be for characters in episode 1.
Daughter of King Nier and Queen Helaina.
She's determined to go out and experience the world for herself. The place she's known is inside the castle, hidden from the world.
(determined. Not sad.) I'm finally going to do it. I'm done being treated like I don't matter.
(Paranoid, skeptical) May?! Who's that? Your accomplice?
(Sad) I can't go back. I don't have a home anymore. *cries a bit*
James is the son of King Liam and Queen Grace. His parents were killed when he was 12. Since then, he's had to leave the country and change his identity for his own safety with his servant.
That's her, isn't it? I don't know how it could be, but it's her. She's got the same curious look on her face just like when we were young.
How could you do that to my family? You don't know all the pain and suffering I have gone through because of it! Me, who would have always married your daughter in a heartbeat.
Rose, I have to leave. I'm sorry. I promise that I'll rescue you from here someday.
May is Rose's first new friend who is awesome and takes her in.

Rose's father. Heartless king who wants to keep Rose away from the world in order to hide his past.
Where could that little brat be? Send everyone we have out to find her.
Ah, my wife. My incredibly idiotic wife! If word gets out that we have a princess, what do you think will happen?
Oh? And what would happen if I had done something? Surely, if I could kill one of Ellinia's ( pronounced El-In-Uh) most beloved pair, what makes you think the same couldn't happen to you, my darling queen?
Queen Helaina is Rose's mom. She was once a loving person, but has changed into a bitter person with regret.
You didn't have anything to do with this, did you?
Is it such a bad thing for her to be gone? Now she's finally out of our hands!

King Liam is James's dad. He's loving towards his family and his people.
James, one day I'll be gone and you'll be an amazing king. I just know it. You have a good heart which will guide you through anything.
I want my son to make his own choices! Wouldn't you want the same for your own daughter?
Rose, you've gotta just loosen up, kid. I know you can do this. Believe in yourself, because I do.
Queen Grace is James's mom. She's as loving as her husband of her family and people.
Honey, did you have a good time? I know Rose was so excited to see you!
It's great the children's birthdays are so close. Having one grand party to celebrate together is wonderful.
We will always love you no matter what decision you make. You are our greatest reason to keep on living. Don't ever forget that.
Laura is May and Emmett's mom. She takes May in and gets her in enrolled at the school. She's a super hard-working single mom.
Whoa, hold on there. Someone's excited. Why don't you lay back down for a second and we'll talk in a sec, ok?
*Laughs* Don't worry. She was just startled. We ARE strangers after all. What's your name, sweetie?
Rose, honey, do you need a place to stay? We have a spare room here if you'd like to stay for a bit.
May's little brother. He's in middle school. One of those kids that tries to act cooler than they may be.
Well, he~llo there. I didn't know May had any cute friends. Or friends at all for that matter.
I'm only in middle school, but I'm going to high school next year. People say I'm pretty mature for my age.
Hey, I can't be totally successful on my charm and good looks alone.
Randolph is James's servant. He has been the #1 loyal servant to the royal family.

So, I'd like Randolph to have a young American accent. I wasn't 100% sure of that, until recently, so I'm sorry for those who have previously auditioned.
I'd like Randolph to be like a cool/serious guardian of James. He's much older than James of course, but a young adult still.

Magic teacher. Will not be a prominent character in the story...as of now. :)
Oh, it's terrible Rose. I'm so sorry. The King and Queen were found dead and James is no where to be found.
Magic comes from the energy within you. Not only is it incredibly powerful, it also only resides in the blood of the royal families.
This is Young James(Conner). He'll be in the beginning and of episode 1 and may come back once in a while but not for certain.
When they were younger, James was Rose's only friend since she couldn't leave her castle. Eventually, his parents are killed and he has to leave.

Young Rose. Same deal as James(Conner) being that she'll be here in the beginning and may come back later.
Rose wasn't allowed to leave the castle. The only family that knew of her existence was the neighboring King and Queen. They would have their son James come by and take magic lessons with Rose, making him her only friend.
Why do they hate me? All I do is try to get them to like me, and they call me useless and annoying. I just don't understand!
Wow! How'd you do that? See, you're much better at this than me. What else can you do?
(Sad/crying) How could this happen? Now I have no one! Where did you go?! Who's going to get me out of here?
Annabeth is the mean girl of the story--She's in love with James/Conner and is the enemy of Rose. She's also a princess and the sister of Kent.
She gets a lot of pressure from her parents to have good grades and be a good-role-model-type in the eyes of the public. I don't have any actual lines written for her yet, so these are just some random stuff.
I'd prefer her voice to be more on the medium/high side vs low. Lots of (anime) mean-girl- princess energy-but can be professional when she needs to be. Feel free to say whatever else you think would fit with this random description I gave. :D

Wow!..There he is. He's just amazing...but why is he looking at the new girl? She's pathetic. He should be looking at me! With my gorgeous good looks, once he glances over---oo000 just you watch.
Listen, I've got enough on my plate today. I don't need some wannabe in my face thinking she's better than me--Me! Who's the princess!
I don't understand...only the blood of the royal families can use magic. How could she have done that?
Rose's maid she's known all her life. She's pretty close to Rose and cares for her. I'd like her to be a mature sounding woman. Not necessarily old, (I mean that might work too.) but Older.
Honestly, if you could sound like Nuriko from Fushigi Yuugi(English) or one Miaka's attendants from there, that'd be cool but I'm still really open to ideas.
For the first line, this is what Rose says before Maya:
Rose: *sighs* Maya, can I go into town today?
Second and third lines:
Maya: Skies forbid, if anything were to happen to you, you may use it for protecting yourself and your loved ones.
Rose: Maya, I’ll never need it if I’m stuck in this prison every day. ;)
Maya: *sigh* *whispers* Good thing Princes James is excelling pretty quickly or else you’d be doomed.
Rose: What was that?
Maya: I mean, oh look! Prince James is coming this way. I was expecting him soon!
Rose: *smirks* Mhm.
Of course not, Princess Rose! Let you go out and have your majesties punish us both?-Ah! Perish the thought. When you complete your magic training and marry, then you are free to go anywhere you’d like.
Maya: *sigh* *whispers* Good thing Princes James is excelling pretty quickly or else you’d be doomed.
Maya: I mean, oh look! Prince James is coming this way. I was expecting him soon!
Guards: Miss, you shouldn’t enter. Your parents are in the middle of a discussion
Guards: Oh, no Miss. Go on ahead. No need for silly execution talk!
Guards: What business do you have here?
