Midwich Valley OCT Round 3
Project Overview
I'm currently participating in an Original Character Tournament (OCT) called Midwich Valley where inmates are thrusted into a Battle Royale for the chance to escape a multidimensional and seemingly inescapable collapsing prison.
My character is a small little Space Bee who broke into the dimension believing there were no other residents present and was hoping to gift this location to his god-like creator, Atsor (from a species known as an Ansheqaran) in order to continue his mission of trapping other Ansheqarans and their servants after a war. So far, the bee has managed to win against a radio necromancer and the dreaded Devil Himself, but in exchange, has begun learning about the complexities of power structures and dynamics. Our Space Bee is now trying to find a solution that could help everyone without risking the safety of the outside world, and somehow escape to find his way back home.
The project (currently linked) is a series of animatics that focus greatly on storytelling and, occasionally, music-coordinated fight scenes. For this video, there will also be segments in VN (Virtual Novel) style due to time constraints.
At the moment, we've entered Round 3 and I have been paired up against Stellartoons, versus her OC, Oscar, and her partner's Arthur Lombar. Oscar is an android originally designed as a guardian unit for Midwich Valley. For some unclear reason at the moment, he has gained sentience and has suffered complete memory loss, prompting the prison to throw him out as a discarded inmate. He has teamed up with the no-nonsense Arthur Lombar for a chance to survive the Battle Royale. Throughout the OCT, both characters have progressively been meeting communities within the prison and learning about the power imbalance between guards and prisoners--so he's definitely getting more and more hot headed.
His voice should be somewhat laid back considering they're someone who, after being presented with the fact they can't regain their memories--saw no pain or loss at the thought and chose to focus on the person he is now. He is that of an 'older brother' type to anyone younger or less experienced than he is which stems from his role as an ex-guardian unit. He is friendly, excitable, determined albeit maybe in a little over his head but will always strive to do the right thing.
Accent can vary, I picture a laid back west coast style but seeing how both the creator and I are Puerto Rican, we tend to give our characters local traits, so a Puerto Rican accent can work just as well.
Please send the raw audio without any robotic filter. Don't worry about the bells and whistles, as long as the audio is clean, it's a good take. I'll work with that on my end.

Arthur is a mysterious older and experienced space captain who has ended up in Midwich Valley for--currently--unknown reasons. He has shown traumatically dismissive responses when confronted with the possibility of entering a commanding or leadership position which seems to be tied to the deaths of his space crew and a betrayal by some rogue space pirates. He has joined the Battle Royale for a chance to escape and meet up with his daughter. To do that, he has teams up with the android, Oscar, and has become somewhat of a father-figure to him.
His voice is that of an experience, gruff ex-captain. Seemingly no-nonsense but has a soft spot for protecting kids and the community he currently finds himself residing in. Serious, commanding, stern but friendly are the good descriptors to keep in mind.
