In the year 20XX. With the advancement of science humans were able to create industrial humanoid robots. A lab assistant robot by the name of Rock lived peacefully in the labs of the foremost authority on robotics, Dr. Light. But one day when Dr. Light's scornful robotics partner, Dr. Wily, grew tired of living in Light's shadow, he steals his robots in the hopes of world domination. Rock volunteers to be upgraded into the combat robot, Mega Man and put a stop to Dr. Wily's evil schemes.
Mega Man: Recharged is a fandub/motion comic based on the 2011 Archie Comics comic-book adaptation of the Mega Man game series. While this specific project is only casting for a dub of the first arc (issues 1-4) of the comic, the project as a whole will attempt to continue on all the way though to the end comic, one 4-issue arc at a time.
I'd like to thank everyone who auditioned for the project, but the time for auditioning has now closed. I'm currently now re-reviewing all the submissions for roles that we've received and will be contacting those who get casted within the coming week. Rock (Mega Man) is the hero and protagonist of this story. Originally created to be a lab-assistant programmed to help others, Rock's courage and sense of justice goes beyond his programming making him more than just a robot designed only to carry out simple duties, but a true hero. He's also a very conflicted character as his nature is that of a pacifist, preferring to find a peaceful solution to conflicts, but is pushed into taking up arms against his fellow robots due to the actions of Dr. Wily.
As Rock is designed to be a young boy roughly age 10-13, that's the kind of performance I'll be looking to capture with this series. He should carry all the charisma of an action Shonen Protag, but also a believable child, I feel most takes tend to prioritize one or the other. I'm picturing something similar to his portrayal in Mega Man: Powered Up or Gon from the English dub of HunterxHunter (2011), but feel free to give an original take if you feel it fits the character.

Thomas Light above all else is a man of peace. A loving father and the genius robotics scientist, he is a visionary who whole-heartily believes in hope and unity almost to the point of blind naivety. He is willing to give his faith into people regardless of their past actions or history, all in the belief that there is good in every soul (human or otherwise), a belief that he also passed down to his robot children, Rock and Roll.
Looking to capture the voice of an adult male in either his late 40s or early 50s with a strong, warm and fatherly presence. Something similar to Dr. Light's portrayals in either Mega Man Maverick Hunter X or Mega Man 11 would be ideal.

Roll is the cute and feisty heart of the Light Family. Created by Dr. Light alongside her brother Rock to assist with house keeping and maintenance, just like him she seemed to have inherited Light's big heart and compassion towards others. Her unwavering optimism is only matched by the care she has for those around her, allowing her to empathize and connect with even the most seemingly closed-off of individuals. Though very kind don't mistake her for a pushover, as she's never afraid to speak her mind or call others out on their behavior if she believes it is wrong or unjust.
I'm looking for the voice of a young female roughly ages 10-13 that's able to capture her fiery passion and overwhelming sweet nature. Something similar to Roll's Mega Man: Powered Up or Mega Man 11 portrayals are some great references, but original takes are welcome as well.

Dr. Albert W. Wily is the very bitter and prideful villain of the story. He is a brilliant scientist in the field of robotics, with the only thing bigger than his brain being his moon-sized ego. Feeling scornful and his genius unrecognized (especially when compared to his colleague, Dr. Light), he reprograms a new line of advanced robots, dubbed the Robot Masters, to serve him and launches an attack on the city in an attempt to take over the world.
Dr. Wily has a big personality that should be properly conveyed through his voice. He should have the range to match seriousness and intimidation of evil mastermind, as well as the bravado and charisma of a Saturday-morning cartoon villain. My ideal Wily would be a more gravelly and gruff take on his Mega Man: Powered Up performance, though a similar take to his Mega Man 11 portrayal would not be bad either.

The news anchor for the Channel 8 News, she only appears very briefly in the first issue. Her line delivery should sound very subdued and unbiased, but have a smooth flow to it.

Bomb Man's personality is just as explosive as the bombs he wields, as such his voice should reflect that. He should sound very aggressive and very explosive, but have all the swagger of an 80's Rockstar.

Guts Man is hard working and tough as nails, but very simple minded. I'm picturing him sounding like a construction foreman with a deep, gravelly voice, similar to his Mega Man: Powered Up portrayal.

Cut Man is a sharp witted and brash individual. Though he can be fairly stubborn sometimes, he s not beyond reasoning with others. He also has tendency for horrible cut-related puns, seriously he'll put your dad to shame with some of these jokes. His voice should be sharp, with a hint of arrogance to it.

One of the six Robot Masters Mega Man faces on his adventure, Elec Man is a robot created to revolutionize power management before being reprogrammed by Dr. Wily.
Elec Man while cocky and a bit self-absorbed, is possibly the most competent of the Robot Masters, often times the first one to take control of the situation, making him the semi, unofficial leader of the original Light bots. This does cause him to be a overly confident in his skills and abilities which often get him in a bit over his head.

Ice Man is like a slightly bratty little brother, very possessive of his things and blanket view of the world. He should sound very young and very child-like, I'm picturing something similar to his portrayal in Mega Man: Powered Up, but original takes are fine too.

Fire Man has a firey, hard sense of justice and sees himself as a sort of hero, in a sense. While steadfast in his convictions when he believes his actions are just, he does begin to doubt himself when shown otherwise.

Oil Man is one of the two experimental Robot Masters activated in secret by Dr. Wily.
Oil Man's very carefree, as well as reckless. He takes very little seriously which often results in a sloppy job, not that he'd mind too much, he much rather have fun then work anyway.
Oil Man has a very urban style way of speaking, so that should definitely come across in his performance.

As the name implies, Time Man is all about time. He has an obsessive when it comes to timeliness and schedules, having everything mapped down to exact milliseconds, and not very appreciative of those who he deems as wasting time. He's very straight to the point and can be very overbearing when interacting with others.
