Mega Man: The Comic Dub (The Return of Doctor Wily)
Project Overview
In the Year 200X, the future is about to be built as Famed Roboticist Doctor Thomas Light is about to unveil his most ambitious Project yet: The Robot Masters Project. A Series of Robots carrying Light’s patented Hyper-Advanced AI that mimics Human Consciousness, all designed and built to assist humanity in different tasks, as the first step in creating not just a Better Tomorrow, but a Perfect Tomorrow. But when Light’s Robotics Partner, Doctor Albert Wily, reprograms the Robot Masters to become destructive and evil out of his own jealousy and ego, all seems lost. That is, until Rock, one of Doctor Light’s Helper Robots and Son, offers himself up to become upgraded into a Super Fighting Robot, who will be able to stop the Robot Masters and save Humanity from Wily. His name? MEGA MAN!
Mega Man: The Comic Dub is a Fan-Made Dub of the official series of Comics created by Archie Comics based on the Mega Man Video Game Series by Capcom. The 9 Characters available to audition for are characters appearing in the series third Story Arc: The Return of Doctor Wily, an arc that loosely adapts the plot of Mega Man 2

Auto is one of Doctor Light’s Robotic Assistants. Despite not being as human-like or a child figure to Doctor Light, Auto still fulfills a similar role to Rock and Roll of being an Assistant to Light, typically tending to his shop, though recently being a bit more active in the lab itself due to Mega Man’s recent battling. Speaking of Mega Man, Auto is an absolute fanboy of Mega Man, looking up to Rock’s hero persona and cheering for him whenever he can, absolutely devoted to the Blue Bomber, inevitably being sad when Mega Man tries to hang up the mantle. And Auto is incredibly optimistic and supportive, being unflinchingly loyal to Rock, Roll, and Dr. Light, occasionally acting as somewhat of a goofy big brother to the two kids. He is a recurring character.
I am looking for a medium pitch, and I want Auto to sound friendly, loyal, and a bit goofy and exaggerated when needed, he’s a character who definitely exudes a friendly nature

[Sad about Rock hanging up the mantle of Mega Man, trying to talk him out of it] “Are you sure about this, Rock? I mean… you being Mega Man was so cool!! You looked so awesome doing it! With a ‘pyew pyew’ here and a ‘blamo’ there…”
[Frustrated as everyone agrees with Rock’s decision, though the tone isn’t too serious] “Fine. When Wily shows up, in his Skull Plane, shooting Skull-Missiles and takes over the World from his Skull Castle, I can say ‘I told you so’”
Quick Man is one of the eight brand new Robot Masters. Designed as part of Dr. Wily’s new scheme, he was built by Wily in order to face Mega Man, as well as play a larger part of the plan such as guiding Mega Man to specific other Robot Masters. Quick Man is incredibly cocky and full of himself, as well as brutal and willing to punch below the belt, such as attacking humans like Roll and Dr. Light in order to do what he needs to get done. He is determined to face the powerful Mega Man, constantly wanting to throughout the arc and determined to get his match with Rock, once again willing to do anything to make it happen. He’s the most prominent (and eventually final) of the new 8 Robots
I am looking for a medium pitch, and I want Quick Man to sound smooth in his delivery, nigh untouchable due to his super speed, yet malicious all the same
- male adult
[Quick Man monologuing to Rock and the others after having swiftly defeated them, condescendingly revealing the new Robot Master’s plans] “I’m here to announce that my creator, Doctor Wily, has returned. You and this city, to say nothing of The World, will pay for his past embarrassments. My Seven Brothers stand ready to turn this City into rubble in six hours. Unless the Bwave Wittle Mega Man can stop us”
[Talking to Rock after having defeated his own brother to get to Mega Man, determined and frustrated to finally get his fight with Mega Man] “Doctor Wily never said I couldn’t! Look, it doesn’t matter what it takes. I’ll take out Doctor Light, your cute little sister, this WHOLE CITY, if it means you’ll finally man-up and face me”
Wood Man is one of the eight brand new Robot Masters. Designed as part of Dr. Wily’s new scheme, he was built by Wily in order to face Mega Man, particularly to be his first opponent. Wood Man is sturdy and unflinching, like a boulder, sure of his purpose to destroy Mega Man and not at all persuaded by Rock’s pleas to change him, yet he has a serenity to him, at peace with his calling and purpose. He’s the first of the new eight Robots
I am looking for a medium-low to low pitch, and I want Wood Man to sound, much like his personality, unflinching and sure of himself, yet having a calm mind and having his stuff together, like an experienced veteran
- male adult
[Wood Man responding to Mega Man’s pleas to be better, his views unflinching and sure, before politely asking his Animal Companions to leave for their battle] “And what purpose would an All-Wood Robot have? No, I HAVE my purpose. And I am content with that. Out of the way, my friends”
[Responding to Mega Man’s inability to damage him, marching slowly towards his opponent, slightly cocky but not too cocky] “This is the best you can do? Doctor Wily had me worried for nothing”
Bubble Man is one of the eight brand new Robot Masters. Designed as part of Dr. Wily’s new scheme, he was built by Wily in order to face Mega Man. Bubble Man is one of the more comical, unserious Robot Masters, constantly facing misfortune due to his design and his seeming, alluded to treatment from the others, and having somewhat of a temper and always being so sure he will come out on top, a very cartoony villain. He’s the second of the new eight Robots
I am looking for a medium to medium-high pitch, and I want Bubble Man to sound very exaggerated, something like a Skeletor (though not just an impression), a high pitched ham of a villain who’s constantly cursing the name of those who wrong him, and not someone you take too seriously
- male adult
[Bubble Man monologuing to himself whilst watching Mega Man, his rant full of ego and yet also drenched in insecurity] “You just keep showing off, Mr. My-Legs-Work-On-Land. We’ll see who’s laughing when you have to SWIM facing me! It certainly won’t be Master Wily, and it certainly won’t be AT me. Not any more, at least… It’ll be at YOU”
[Frustrated seeing Mega Man destroy his Robot Troops, very over the top anger] “Oh, come ON! Those Robots were Waste Management! Do you know how hard it was to weaponize them?! No, don’t destroy- AARGH!”
Heat Man is one of the eight brand new Robot Masters. Designed as part of Dr. Wily’s new scheme, he was built by Wily in order to face Mega Man. Heat Man is another unfortunate soul, being designed as an improvement over Fire Man, yet not being resistant to his own Fire and constantly very hot in his arena, causing him to have a talk with Mega Man about this before the battle, in a light hearted moment, making him another one of the more comical Robot Masters. He’s the third of the new eight Robots
I am looking for a medium to medium-high pitch, and I want Heat Man to sound younger than the other Robot Masters, being the smallest one and the one least prepared for a fight compared to the others
- male adult
- female adult
[Out of breath and weak due to the heat in his chamber overwhelming him, seemingly not ready for a battle] “Oh, hey, you made it. Listen, before we do this, you gotta tell me something… does Fire Man complain about how hot he is? Because I’m supposed to be a direct upgrade on his design, and you’d THINK Heat Resistance would be part of that… I don’t want to move…”
[Defeated, yet still determined that Mega Man will be defeated] “The rest of my Brothers are ready for you, kid. Crash Man’s in the Command Centre above. Tell him I said ‘Hi’ before he blows you to bits”
Crash Man is one of the eight brand new Robot Masters. Designed as part of Dr. Wily’s new scheme, he was built by Wily in order to face Mega Man. Crash Man has, what you could call, a short temper. He can get set off by anything and has more trouble keeping his cool, resulting in him openly shouting and responding to taunts, mostly coming from his lack of hands. He’s the fourth of the new eight Robots
I am looking for a medium to medium-low pitch, and I want Crash Man to have a growly, gravely voice, giving him somewhat of an animalistic voice, like a barking dog, but also a voice that can be raised for when he shouts and gets wound up and angry
- male adult
[Barking back at Mega Man’s comments, trying to look prideful yet letting his insecurities show] “You think I’m some knock off, is that it?! I’m all the power of Guts Man and Bomb Man combined, you little punk! Who are you to talk, Mr. Copy-Powers-Cuz-You-Got-None?”
[Completely pissed off. Please don’t peak your mic on this part] “AND WHAT, RISK LOSING MY PRECIOUS HANDS?!? REAL FUNNY, MEGA MAN! HA! HA! HA!!!”
Air Man is one of the eight brand new Robot Masters. Designed as part of Dr. Wily’s new scheme, he was built by Wily in order to face Mega Man. Air Man is almost a complete polar opposite to the Robot who preceded him, being quite level headed and incredibly eloquent in his speaking, as well as one to go off on long tangents, musing about whatever he can observe. Yet, he’s still a villain, and his nature spins into condescension, underestimating his opponents and taunting them with the fact that “You can’t beat me” (heh). He’s the fifth of the new eight Robots
I am looking for a medium to medium-low pitch, and I want Air Man to have a big, booming voice, matching his design, as well as one with a slight amount of class to it, due to how he speaks and his general personality
- male adult
[Casually countering Mega Man’s attack after being interrupted from his monologue] “No banter? No witty come-back? *sigh*, very well. I’ll simply destroy you, then”
[Has the upper hand, condescendingly gloating to Mega Man] “Poor child, you should’ve known YOU CAN’T BEAT ME. Quick Man will be so disappointed you fell here”
Metal Man is one of the eight brand new Robot Masters. Designed as part of Dr. Wily’s new scheme, he was built by Wily in order to face Mega Man. Metal Man is someone who’s quite simple: he’s all about his purpose and not much else, ready and willing to get into his fight with Mega Man jumping into it without much further conversation with the Blue Bomber. From his few lines, it’s implied he’s tenacious in a fight and determined to the bitter end to dice Mega Man with his deadly blades. He’s the sixth of the new eight Robots
I am looking for a medium to medium-low pitch, and I want Metal Man to also have a growly, gravely pitch, but less of a barking dog and more of a snake, more precisely deadly and not as overtly aggressive, kind of a Steve Blum-esque voice (Though not just an imitation of any of his roles)
- male adult
[Instantly attacking Mega Man, no conversation beforehand like the others] “Sorry? Were you expecting some kind of formal introduction first? I’m Metal Man… the Robot Master Cut Man SHOULD’VE BEEN”
[On the losing side, yet still determined not to lose] “I’m not going down that easily!!”
Flash Man is one of the eight brand new Robot Masters. Designed as part of Dr. Wily’s new scheme, he was built by Wily in order to face Mega Man. Flash Man is a condescending Robot, though not in the same way as Air Man, very matter of factly seeing other Robots as beneath him due to his all-powerful Time Stop ability giving him an advantage over many opponents. And yet, he’s still insecure to an extent, being jealous of Mega Man’s hair compared to his… baldness. He’s the seventh of the new eight Robots
I am looking for a medium to medium-low pitch, and I want Flash Man to have a similar voice to Air Man, though not as booming and more so generally low, though having a tad bit of that condescension in there, all for it to break when presented with his insecurity.
- male adult
[After countering Mega Man with his power, explaining to this lesser robot his ability] “Speed has NOTHING to do with it. That’s just how you lesser Robots perceive my Time Stop"
[Annoyed after Mega Man avoided all of the Robot Troops to get here] “My Troops worked hard to set up a good defense. I was proud of them. You couldn’t have the decency to at LEAST face them?”
Whilst this Project already has 2 Video Editors on board, there's still quite a bit to do with something like this, so an Editor coming onto the Project would help a lot
I need someone who is experienced in moving and or manipulating images and text, as well as Sound Design
