Project Overview

(PLEASE READ)

Hello! I wanted to put something together to get some more experience in the voice acting field, and I had just recently watched this series, so I thought this could be a fun idea! I look forward to seeing your guys' auditions, and look forward to working on this in the future! (No need to try to replicate the English VAs' voices, I just left them in the character descriptions so you had a general idea of what they sounded like. Try to give your own takes on the characters!)

SYNOPSIS:

As a child, Masamune Makabe once suffered greatly at the hands of a wealthy and beautiful girl named Aki Adagaki, who nicknamed him "Pig's Foot" due to his chubby appearance. Seeking revenge against his tormentor, Masamune works hard to improve himself and returns as an incredibly handsome, albeit narcissistic, high school student. When he encounters Aki once again, he is prepared to exact vengeance.

With the aid of the rich girl's maid, Yoshino Koiwai, Masamune slowly begins to build his relationship with Aki, intending to break her heart when the time is right. However, as his friendship with Aki begins to grow, Masamune starts to question the objectives of his devious plans, and if bringing them to fruition is what his heart truly desires.

REQUIREMENTS:

-Please, try to have a decent mic. Good USB mics or XLR mics are accepted.

-Be okay with using swears. This is an abridged series, so this kind of stuff should be expected. 

-Discord is a requirement. This makes communicating between cast members far more convenient. When the server is made, please don't mute it! We need you to be able to see important announcements, so stay engaged!

-We would like you to be able to get your lines in by (or close to) the deadlines given. We understand that life happens, so try to do what you can. We understand if you're busy!

-Overall, have fun! This project is supposed to be fun, so I hope everyone gets along and bonds through the whole process. ^^

-Please, leave your Discord tags in your auditions. Even if you don't get cast, I may see if you're interested in future projects!

  • It has begun!

    Hello, everybody! I just wanted to say that all of you who have auditioned have done a great job! Since some characters have just been cast, I wanted to send out a little update; if you weren't cast for a role/haven't been cast yet, don't be disheartened! I plan on getting back to casting some roles soon. Also, if you weren't cast for a role and I really liked your audition, I may try to fit you in for another role. That being said, thank you all for showing your interest in the project!

Known as the "cruel princess" in her school, she is Masamune Makabe's sworn enemy.  She's known for giving every boy who asks her out a cruel, demeaning nickname. It is also soon discovered by Masamune that she has a massive appetite, a secret she often tries to hide by eating lunch in the school's storehouse.

As far as her voice is concerned, I'm looking for a mid-range, stuck-up sort of voice, with a hint of tsundere. You can look at her English VA, Morgan Garrett, for reference.

  • (Interrogative tone) "You'll do as well as anyone. Answer me. One 'Akio Tanabe.' Seen him?"

  • (Reading off of a letter, in a mocking tone) " 'I fell for you when I saw your dignity and grace in P.E. class.' In other words, you like how my legs look in short-shorts, isn't that right?"

  • (Sweet, caring tone) Oh no, Sonoka! Your ribbon is coming untied!

One of the maids of the Adagaki residence, and Aki's personal assistant. She often comes off as a complete air-head, but she's more sharp and cunning than she seems. She eventually decides to help aid Masamune in getting his "revenge."

For her voice, I'm looking for a very quiet, monotone, somber voice. You can look at her English VA, Monica Rial, for reference.

  • (Clueless, air-headed tone) "Well, I didn't expect this at all. It turns out that heaven looks just like school."

  • (Sad, gloomy tone) "Now that I'm dead, there's no harm in speaking ill of it. Fate continues to assail me, even in death, with icy blow after icy blow..."

  • (Conversing with Masamune) "You're too naive. I can help you! If you just listen, you can get her e-mail AND get a date."

  • (Upset, after Masamune rejects the food she offers him) "Chinatsuuuu!~ Did you hear how incredibly hateful he just was to mommy? He shunned my breakfast when I was so glad to feed him again!"

Since I'm only one person, writing all of the jokes and whatnot would be incredibly hard, and probably wouldn't be very funny.  So, that's why I'm reaching out to you clever minds!
