Marvel What If? LEGO Stop-Motion Series with SEVERAL Marvel Characters (25+)
Project Overview
This is a series inspired by what the Disney+ show brought to life! However it's a much darker take featuring key moments from the comics, along with many more characters and brought to form in the style of LEGO Stop-Motion animation! If you're looking to see what I'm capable of, I'll recommend checking out my channel to see my work. I'm also pretty vague when it comes to the line descriptions, not is exactly solidified yet, but I'm really looking for actors/actresses' input! If you wish to get incontact with me, or any have questions, my discord tag is Herminomenz#0624 and my email is hermvicmendez @gmail.com
The currrent What If Episodes I have scripted so far are..
What if Spider-Man Was More Spider Than Man?
- A darker take on Spider-Man, who's alone in the world given certain conditions upon the infamous Spider bite.
What if the Vision Lost the Scarlet Witch?
- We've seen what Wanda would do upon her loss of Vision, but we've never what lengths Vision would go through to get Wanda back to him, even if it involves reaching into the Multiverse.
What if the Avengers Were Darker?
- After most of the Avengers are dusted away by Thanos' infamous snap, Norman Osborn takes up the director of shield position given the vacuum of power and recruits a new team of Avengers to kill the mad titan.
What if Mr. Fantastic Was the Smartest Man in the Multiverse?
- After the loss of his team and most of New York, Mr. Fantastic becomes dead set on perfecting the world, and finds out what unchecked ambition leads to..
Each episode looks like it's coming out to be about 20 mins each. I'm see solidifying lines and dialogue, so I don't have an exact word count, but several characters will reappear as different versions, so I'll highly recommend contacting me if you want species.
I'm really excited to hear what ya'll have! Thank you!

The Mr. Fantastic we will see in this series resembles his comic counterpart: the leader and pillar of the Marvel Universe, however we see what happens once his ambition gets to the best of him. Our Reed Richards resembles a smart man who's an inventor who's losing his grip on humanity. It's Mr. Fantastic with a dash of a true sociopath. A character who bottles up his emotions until they get to the better of him. I can't say I'm looking for anything specific voice wise at the moment so go nuts!
Peter, you’re smarter than you think. Smarter than I was at your age. Think of the future you want to live in. Be an outcast forever or open yourself up, no matter what people say. That’s what separates the Fantastic Four from the others. You’re always welcomed amongst us.
I present to you The Bridge. Multiversal travel is possible now Susan. No more depending on magic or accidental space anomalies.
I’m the smartest man in the multiverse for a reason. I was made for this. It’s been a pleasure my friends. May paradise be good to you.
There's two episodes where Spider-Man is about as normal as it gets. A quirky, nerdy teenager bend on doing the right thing no matter the cost. However, for the episode centralized on Spider-Man, I'm looking for a deeper performance. This Spider-Man is someone who's quite literally an outcast. He's all alone and doesn't have Aunt May, MJ or any supporting characters. He can't get close to anyone. He's more serious and more cautious. There is also an episode where Peter serves as a supporting character who's fully embraced the Venom symbiote. It's a very angry Peter Parker at the world.
You.. You can’t do that! You just took a life, what is wrong with you?!
I’m not some galaxy hopping, genius-level scientist. I’m just a kid. I don’t need an entire world just like me. I just want someone to accept me for who I am.
Dreams change. People change. I don’t think that I’m that person anymore.
The Watcher is the narrator of each story, very similar to the way portrayed in the animated What If series on Disney+, and I drew heavy inspiration from Rod Serling's narration in the Twilight Zone. I'm looking for something similar, very stoic and a deep voice.
Behold The Vision, a carcass of adamantium, nuts and screws. His passion lies in the doomed lips of the Scarlet Witch, living, breathing chaos in the most benevolence of creatures, a naive, young girl. Together, the couple wage war against the relentless hands of a clock ticking down to an inevitable Shakespeare tragedy across the incalculable sum of possible outcomes I have witnessed.
The widow wanders the empty halls of kings who are long gone. The Vision’s lifeless eyes study her, catching sight of his empty reflection in her delicate pupils. The reflection shatters, as she grasps onto what’s left of him shielding it with endless tears. They’re both staring at someone they’ve outlived.
Reed Richards, I’m very disappointed in you.
The Vision from our universe is the loving partner to the Scarlet Witch, however it is here where we begin to explore his detachment from humanity. With the passing of the Scarlet Witch, Vision begins to fall prey to his emotions, and becomes less android, and more human, which ironically is the one thing that causes him to lose any resemblance to any human.
I’ve come to observe the most fragile of movements that occur within the human body, such as the moving of tissue when one turns their neck, along with the most galactic scale events that occur beyond our comprehension that make Carol Danvers appear to be an ant.
Her name isn't the Scarlet Witch. It's Wanda!
It means I do not love you anymore, and I never will again. I suppose the truth has never been kind to us.
Norman Osborn believes he has cured himself of the Green Goblin. This What If episode is a take on the Dark Avengers, which explores the more collected and leadership side of Norman Osborn, and while the man attempts to put on a sane act, he is still very rash and quick to emotion. The Green Goblin is his chaotic, rageful, unhinged persona. I'm very excited to see the auditions for this.
How do you lose sight of a unmovable hammer? Bring me Captain America. It's time to form the Avengers.
Agent Hand. Declare martial law on the ground for 40 miles around the hospital! I want Hammer agents on EVERY block if that Asgardian escapes.
Steven, you can't do. It's not fair. Steven! STEVEN YOU COWARD!
(This is where the transition from collected Norman Osborn transforms into the Goblin)
The Susan Storm portrayed in What If is a Susan Storm who's subject to Mr. Fantastic's emotionless unaware social cues. She's heavily affected by it, along with the recent passing of the rest of the team and her own father and brother. In the same episode, we also see a Susan Storm from an alternate universe who serves the role of Kang the Conqueror. This is a Susan who's gone off the deep end and resorted towards destruction of the timeline/the past.
Reed, is this what you’ve been keeping from me for the past year? Please do tell me it’s not a giant wedding ring!
Why is it that you haven’t cried once? I’ve been with you every second of the day and I haven’t seen you react any differently than a stranger would.
(Villainous Side) If the legacy of Reed Richards is of a child far from their daddy’s position of intelligence, then what an insult that is to the Richards name.
John Walker's the bastardized version of Captain America. He's a cocky asshole who's convinced he can save the world while his selfish ways get the better of him.
Captain America, reporting for duty Director Osborn.
I wasn’t exactly asking for the hammer sweetie.
We don’t have a shot at finding the last stone. Hell, you want to risk the mission even more? What would all these people’s lives have been for if we fail?
Jane Foster is the new Thor, and she's a brash, proud, warrior, who keeps the mortality of the Dark Avengers incheck. I'm looking for an accent that can deliver an elevated form of language, but open to anything really.
By Odin’s beard.. there's a gloom in the air like no other.
I will be worthy. Til my dying breath.
Great Odin, I ask for your strength. I ask for your courage. I ask for your help in this conflict. With the power of those that came before, with all of those that will come in the future, let the Bifrost bring them forth from across the multiverse!
Doctor Strange remains as one of the prime assholes within the episodes who serve more of a villainous role than a heroic one. Slightly more unhinged, Doctor Strange balances between the line of sane and sociopathic.
Welcome Norman Osborn.. to the final days of your life.
Vision, the multiverse isn’t real. It’s a myth, some type of theory Reed Richards made up in high school.
You do not know what you are dealing with. That book has the power to turn the sun dark. Rob the world of love. Change the course of time!
Iron Man serves the role of being a recruiter towards Peter Parker into joining the Avengers and also opposing Mr. Fantastic in his multiverse conquest. His own ego and rude attitude is his own doing and fault.
Who’s the smurf on a throne here? (referring to Kang the Conqueror)
We’ve come to the conclusion that we’re not going to beat you, or argue with you. We’re gonna exile you to the Negative Zone and make it uninhabitable and inescapable. (Serious/threatening)
Not very Mr. like of you Reed. But I guess the fantastic is gone too. (After seeing Reed Richards yell at his wife)
I'm looking for an intimidating robotic voice. Vision has an Ultron bot trapped in a prison and continuously visits, in hopes of making breakthroughs with the hellbent destructive android.
I am a perfect being. Everything I touch turns to gold. Yet you are not perfect. You are my creation, but not my son.
(mocking)
Careful. You nearly got angry. You shall perform your mission, which I created you for. You must kill the Avengers son.
Wanda remains a very calm person, til the very end of her episode, which has her breaking down at the arrival of a Vision who has no love for her left.
My precious synthezoid. Promise me we have another day ahead of us.
No Vision. Why don’t we just stay here, and.. await death together?
Oh my god, what is wrong with you? You used to be so kind.. you traveled across universes to find me and this is the first thing you tell me?!
Yelena Belova is the Black Widow that takes up the mantle after Natasha's death at the hands of Thanos. She's very hot headed, angsty and has an attitude.
It’s ridiculous such a title exists in the first place. No true Black Widow would ever defect to America.
Perhaps Strange is wacko. No Mad Titan would reside here.
The Punisher is an insane man, hell bent on eliminating every criminal, murderer and sociopath on Earth. I'm looking for a deep and unhinged voice.
And let this sociopath live? So he could move onto the next red head and do far worse things than tonight? You don’t get it.. you’ve never had to live amongst monsters.
Well.. Vietnam didn’t leave all of us with pretty colors on our chest or medals of honor. I came back with some baggage, people calling me a baby killer.
Thanos, the mad titan, defeated the Avengers and thought he was at peace. Now he realizes there's a new team of Avengers and is not happy about it. I'm looking for deep, unhinged, silky voice.
You wear the faces of failure. You’ve doomed yourselves to the same fate they all encountered. To challenge me in your boots of dead men, is to court death.
Stern, and a symbol of authority, Captain Carter is an alternative version of Captain America.
We do not take innocent lives.
I’m sorry Vision, I wish there was another way.
Agatha Harkness is the witch mentor towards Wanda. After Wanda's death, Agatha has lost it and warns of a procephy. I'm looking for an elderly unhinged voice.
His evolution has already been cemented.
Vision will sacrifice anything to fix his failure. It’s his code. He will fix what is broken. It’s not about making a choice for him, for he has no choice at all. He will travel to the ends of the universe to find his lover, and he will kill you all to do it. He will raze the world. (warning)
I'm looking for a younger take on Black Cat, matching Peter Parker's age. I'm looking for someone who can pull a manipulative voice and a soft and caring voice.
You can’t seem to avoid getting mixed with me?! (angry)
This is exactly how I want it to end Spider.. Just you and me.. all this history…
I'm really open to anything, but I'm looking for a voice that's manipulative and quick to turn to anger. Doc Ock here is dying, and I want there to be slight dread and desperation in his voice.
Hold still! It’ll take just a second!
Hello Peter.
Oh Peter.. If I’m to live again, it won’t be through this earthy body, it’ll be through yours.
This MJ plays a minor role, but Spider-Man's story is centered around her existence. I'm looking for a voice that really yearns to see Peter Parker again, who's passed away. She's reminded of him and hears his voice which distills hope and desperation in her voice, until she finds out what's behind Spider-Man's mask..
Please, take off that stupid mask so I can see your face. (passionate)
Oh my god Peter.. (absolute shock)
Hank Pym's the original Ant-man and an extraordinary scientist. I'm not looking for anything in particular, but the Hank Pym here is a scientist first, and an Avenger second.
Fascinating. The brainwaves I’m detecting from these ants are unlike any other ones I’ve ever felt.
Reed, were you planning on telling us that you were modifying life and well ...messing with the timeline? (interested)
I'm looking for a more intelligent Hulk, much more aligned with the comics, and our Bruce Banner resembles a scientist, which he is first more than anything.
Or maybe Reed was always capable of this.. something was holding him back. (Bruce Banner)
Sorry Tony. (Hulk)
Captain America plays a minor role, but commands the room. I'm looking for a passionate, serious, commanding voice.
He’s not holding back is he?
Then we won’t hold back either. Bring forth the Sentry.
I'm looking for someone who's cocky, given they're the most powerful man in the world. There's a scene where the Sentry will die later too, so I'm looking for some painful yells as well.
They said I can hit you as hard as I want.
Stabs really? I could dance all day, old man.
Looking for a Magneto who is dead set on ending humanity. He's angry and has flood the Earth by shifting it's magnetic poles.
You’ll never get the chance, child.
My magnetism manipulation allows me to control any amount of metal, and while the iron in your blood is unable to properly pierce your inner-tissue, the shards from Mjölnir will suffice.
Slight role, but I'm looking for a Professor X, with an elderly voice, and a desperation for what Magento has just done.
Magneto has done the unspeakable Rogers. He’s shifted the Earth’s magnetic poles. (concern)
