Life is Strange: True Intentions is a fan-fiction story written by MaxironiTheStrawberry monster
This project brings the emotional depth and storytelling of Life is Strange True Intentions into an fully cast Audio Drama, with music and pictures.
Plot:
After the storm devastates Arcadia Bay, Max and Chloe attempt to rebuild their lives in a new town, still haunted by the choices they made that fateful night. When they finally reach out to old friends, they discover some have survived—and, as painful as it is, they return to a partly rebuilt Arcadia Bay to confront the past.
Their fragile peace shatters when Joyce is abducted. A mysterious survivor from a secret government agency—one that hunts people with extraordinary powers—emerges. He wields the terrifying ability to control minds and distort reality. Believing himself a necessary evil, he sets out to test Max’s strength—not just her powers, but her very identity, hoping that she could be, the one!
He is dark but he has a good motive, however he will go to extreme lengths to test Max. Meanwhile Mr. Jefferson may be behind bars—but the shadow that once pulled his strings is still very much alive. A past deal, long buried, is starting to surface.
True Intentions is a story of love, friendship, survival, identity, and the burden of power, woven with emotional depth and psychological tension.

Hey everyone,
Hi everyone,
I’m currently searching for additional artists and musicians. If you’re interested, please send me a PM
Hi all!
You might have noticed that I changed the deadline to 30 november. Thats also because I will be adding a few more roles. Which I didn't add before because I was worried we need a second season. Looks like we don't need it.
I just added William Price on CC. Chloe deceased dad! Spoilers: When Chloe falls under the influence of the villain, she sees William again… or at least someone who looks and sounds like him. The question is, is this really her dad, or something much darker pretending to be him?
Hey everyone!
It's me, MaxironitheStrawberrymonster.
Thanks again for helping make my dream a reality! Together, we’re creating an amazing Life is Strange audiobook!
I’m excited to announce that I’ve added three new roles to the website: Young Kate, Young Chloe and Young Max. These characters are part of an exciting memory scene and I can’t wait to hear your interpretations!
Main character (role is taken).
Maxine Caulfield is a shy, thoughtful teen with a passion for photography and a deep sense of empathy. Beneath her quiet nature is a sharp wit and fierce loyalty, especially to her best friend, Chloe. Her playful side peeks through in moments like her iconic line, "Ready for the mosh pit, shaka brah!"
Though introspective, Max is not withdrawn—she’s curious, emotionally aware, and driven to protect the people she loves.
In Life is Strange, Max faces an impossible choice: save Chloe or save her hometown. Choosing Chloe comes with a heavy cost. She’s thankful to have her, but the weight of that decision still lingers. Coping together is hard—but necessary.
Max moves through life with quiet strength and a haunted heart, shaped by the burden of her power to rewind time. It offers second chances, but never without sacrifice. No path is clean. No outcome is without pain.
As Max reflects:
“I am merely the dust beneath the wings of the butterfly, and the wind can be cruel to the dust it carries.”
She’s been through more than most could bear, but she’s still standing. Still Max. And with Chloe beside her, she’s learning how to move forward.
(to Kate, Max smiling, kate just showed her own book)"Wowser! I love it! She gave a huge hug to Kate. Hope you reach many hearts with this kate! Your such an amazing friend!".
(To Chloe: whispered back sad): “I know… It’s just, you mean so much to me, Chloe. But I can’t stop wondering… if I hadn’t—if I weren’t even human—would all this death and destruction still have happened? I keep thinking… if I had made just one different choice, maybe no one would’ve had to die!"
(To Chloe anxious): “Can’t believe I’m almost back in Arcadia Bay,”
Main character (role is taken)
Chloe Price is a rebellious, fiercely loyal soul from Arcadia Bay. With her punk-blue hair, sharp wit, and defiant attitude, she stands out—loudly. But beneath the tough exterior is someone shaped by grief, abandonment, and a deep longing for connection. Chloe hides her pain with sarcasm and chaos, but her heart is wide open to the few she lets in.
Her bond with Max Caulfield is everything—equal parts love, trust, and survival. Chloe doesn’t just care about Max; she needs her. Their connection is raw, messy, and real, giving Chloe the hope and stability she’s never had. She's a fighter, a dreamer, and a beautifully broken spark in a world that keeps trying to dim her light.
Chloe Price, one of the story’s central characters,
(To Kate Marsh, jokes): “Hey, I’m just keeping things interesting. Gotta protect the precious, right?"
(To Joyce, confident): "Blah, blah, blah, Mom! I'm a mechanic! That just proves my point—I don’t need school. Nobody needs school." She leaned back, hands behind her head, a smug grin spreading across her face
(To Max, sad) "I do miss her, Max. I miss her a lot—so much. So, so much!" Chloe’s voice suddenly shifted, sharp and trembling. "But I also hate her. For lying. For pretending. For all those times we laughed together like everything was fine..."
(role is taken)
Kate Marsh is a kind, soft-spoken, and deeply empathetic young woman. She’s the kind of person who genuinely cares about others, even when she’s struggling herself. Raised in a devout and conservative religious household, Kate often feels torn between her own beliefs and the harsh judgments of those around her. Her gentle demeanor and quiet strength make her a deeply sympathetic presence, but her vulnerability also makes her a target for cruelty and gossip. She is one fo the few survivers of the storm and is now trying to cope.
Kate's best friend is Max Caulfield. .
Kate is introspective and shy, preferring calm moments and meaningful conversations to crowds or chaos. Despite her hardships, Kate shows remarkable courage and emotional resilience and is now writing her own book about bullying.
Voice actress portraying Kate should be able to express both fragile vulnerability and quiet nature.
(To Max and Chloe, worried and uneasy): "Victoria hasn’t said much to me since then, last time I met her on school , she was back to her old self."
(To Max, Happy): "I got a little present for you Max! A familiar acquaintance, its inside, let me get her!"
(To Max, soft, sad voice) "I just… I miss her, Max. I really do. I don’t want to be angry at my older sister. But sometimes it feels like I don’t even know who she is anymore!"
(role is taken).
Chloe Price is a spirited, daring, and curious thirteen year old. She’s naturally rebellious and outspoken, with a sharp wit and fearless energy, but at this stage in her life, her challenges are mostly about testing limits, exploring the world around her, and forming early friendships. She hasn’t yet experienced the major losses that will shape her later (losing her dad, loss of her BFF Rachel) so her rebelliousness is more playful, mischievous, and adventurous. She is a happy girl!
Her best friend is Maxine Caulfield and they both adore Pirates! Young Chloe is a spark, full of mischief, curiosity, and youthful boldness. She is loyal, protective and emotional open.
We are seeking a voice that is energetic, playful, teasing, and warm
(Playing pirate, playful, loud) Fire the cannon, Long Max Silver!” Chloe’s voice echoed in memory, high and fearless, as she perched on the mast. “Sink those pirates! Take no prisoners!”
(Holding out the gross candy ball, asking max to lick it,) “THOU PROMISED!” Chloe shouted pretending to be annoyed “By da mighty jaw-breakin’ ball, we neverrr betray matey! Yarrr, till da end, even if tooth go boom!”
(playing Pirate, whispering, playful) “Shhh!” Chloe pressed a finger to her lips, eyes wide with exaggerated seriousness. “Quiet, matey. I heard there’s a sea hag lurking in these waters…”
(role is taken).
This role is part of an important memory! One that shows Max’s bond with Chloe and Kate.
Maxine Caulfield is thirteen years old is a shy, thoughtful teen. Beneath her quiet nature is a sharp wit and fierce loyalty, especially to her best friend, Chloe. Though introspective, Max is not withdrawn, she’s curious and emotionally aware.
At thirteen, she often blends into the background, preferring to observe before she speaks. Beneath her quiet, hesitant exterior, though, she carries a sharp wit and a spark of humor that comes out once she feels comfortable.
Max shows loyalty and courage in small but meaningful ways. She’s the kind of person who notices details others overlook and feels things deeply.
We are looking for a warm voice, ability to sound thoughtful, playful, sad and anxious.
Dressed as pirate “Aye, Captain Chloe!” her laughter bubbling over as she aimed their plastic cannon. “To Treasure!”
To young Chloe, wantig to climb the water tower. “Chloe… no,” Max said, anxiety creeping into her voice. “It...doesn’t look safe. It’s really high! We really... shouldn’t climb it. (she hesitates, her voice, anxious and a bit scared) “I just… I don’t want us to get hurt. Please Chloe!"
Young Chloe giving her the candy ball. “Licking? O no....not the ball again!”Max said rolling her eyes, “It’s a serious biohazard Chloe!”
(role is taken).
This is about a younger Kate version. She is thirteen years old, before she was friends with Max.
Young kate is very shy and tries to avoid crowds. She likes nature and is more comfortable alone.
.When she speaks about things she loves (like animals, art, or her faith), her tone lifts and becomes more animated, revealing the warmth beneath her shy exterior.
Voice actress portraying Kate should be able to express both fragile vulnerability and quiet nature.
Her voice should be a lot similar to adult kate but younger! Remember this Kate is more anxious then the older version of her. She prefers to be alone.
“Oh… uhm… nice to meet you! I guess…” (Her voice is shy, but there’s a gentle warmth behind it, like she’s trying to connect despite her nerves.)
(Kate is playing pretend with Young chloe, who’s pretending to be a pirate and calling Kate Princess, kate is nervous and anxious, she is not used playing games like this) “Uh… um… please… I don’t… I don’t think princesses are supposed to be plundered… You… you can have… my… um… lunch, maybe… but please… don’t take it away!”
(Anxious soft voice). “I… I guess… it’s… okay. I’m just… not used to games like this.” (young Max got pulled into the water by young Chloe), quick shy giggle...“Y-you’re both… really… ridiculous,” she said shyly, her cheeks pink.
(role is taken).
David is a Veteran of Afghanistan haunted by his past and struggling with PTSD. He’s married to Joyce Price, trying to be a stepfather to Chloe, but their relationship is rocky, he wants to protect her, but doesn’t always know how because Chloe rebelious nature. He’s strict, blunt, and guarded, but deep down, he cares more than he lets on. David hides his pain behind rules and routine, but over time, he begins to open up and show the guilt, love, and quiet strength that define him. David has been though a lot again lately as he and Joyce needed to built up their lives from the ground up again as the storm destroyed most of the house and diner.
(David, being annoyed, yelling) Chloe, do you expect me to believe that. The things you say don’t sound possible."
(To Joyce: happy ) "I love you joyce! Can you forgive me?"
(Hs voice cold and steady but with little anger, defensive) "I’ve heard enough. Let’s see how confident you are… with a pistol aimed at your face, Asshole! "
(role is taken).
Joyce is a sincere, sweet, and fiercely loving mother who has held her family together through heartbreak and chaos. After losing her first husband, William, in a tragic accident, she did everything she could to give her daughter, Chloe, a stable home—even when Chloe pushed her away.
Now married to David Madsen, Joyce works hard to keep peace between them, despite the tension that often rises. She’s known Max since she was a child and sees her as a second daughter—someone she loves deeply and worries about just as much.
the storm hit their family hard: their house was torn in half, the diner was destroyed, and Chloe and Max drove off, leaving Arcadia Bay behind. Joyce didn’t know where they went or when they’d return. Still, she showed a resilience rarely seen. She refused to give up. With financial assistance from FEMA, the United States agency for disaster recovery, she rebuilt the diner from the ground up and kept moving forward, no matter how much she had lost.
Joyce’s voice should carry emotional warmth, quiet strength, and the steady love of a mother who’s seen pain—but refuses to let it define her.
To David, voice trembling, desperate) "David, please… please, I need your help with this. I can’t do it alone
(To Max, happy): There she is!” Joyce said smiling. “How are you doing, Max? Was the drive well?” Joyce felt a warm strong hug from Max
(To David tabout Chloe, sad)"Ijust wanted her to be okay... even if it meant she had to hate me for a while but now i dont even know where she went!
Side character! This is a small supporting role, but if cast, there’s potential for additional voice work in other roles ( including playing Kate's new best friend and/or the kids from Lisa, pm me for details).
Happy and energetic to Chloe) "OMG, you remember our last road trip Chloe! it was so amazing!"
(teasing Max and Chloe): "You two were perfectly innocent when you got here. Look at you now… I’m proud!"
(To Max and Chloe, worried and sad) Promise me, you will stay in touch! I will miss you! and be safe okay? This time don’t do anything scary”
This is a small supporting role, but if cast, there’s potential for additional voice work in other roles ( detective, owner of a restaurant or other side characters)
Evan works alongside Chloe at the local mechanic shop. He’s friendly, loyal, and genuinely cares about her—though he quietly hopes he might have a shot with her someday, if things between Max and Chloe ever fall apart. Chloe however is completely oblivious since he never told or give her any clear signs.
He’s a kind and thoughtful guy, a little awkward and introspective, with a slight stutter that shows up when he’s nervous. Evan gets really jealous sometimes—especially when he sees the love between Max and Chloe—but it doesn’t come from a cruel or entitled place. Instead, it stems from a quiet fear that he’ll never be enough for someone in the way Chloe is for Max. Despite his reserved nature, he’s not afraid to raise his voice when someone he cares about is in trouble.
(To Chloe, sadness in his voice, realising he will never date Chloe): "noo, it’s just something I just realized"
(To Chloe and Max feeling angry and jealous, they asked him to make photo of them): "You just stand over there now"! as he dismissed Chloe and looked now a bit angry to Max. He was jealous but Chloe clearly missed it.
(To a customer who was almost groping Chloe): “ENOUGH! Sir your car is fixed! If you have some dignity left..please say sorry! "
This character plays a major role in the story’s overarching mystery, which is why we’re keeping details limited here. If you're interested, we’d love to talk more about this fascinating role via private message or on Discord.
Coming from a wealthy background, he attended a prestigious school to study psychology and quickly rose to become a kind, respected therapist.
But after a traumatic event and the awakening of powers he never asked for, his life veered into the shadows.
Though he sees himself as a necessary force for balance, his methods are cold, but he has a good motive! He sees himself as the nessary evil.
This role demands quiet intensity, emotional restraint, and a subtle, ever-present menace.
Note: This character plays a major role in the story’s central mystery and long-term arc.
Role is taken!
Role already taken!
If the role comes available I will let you know!
This is small but very important role with a few exciting pages! but if cast, there’s potential for additional voice work in other roles which we will discuss together)
Rachel Amber is charismatic, confident, and magnetic—someone who naturally draws people in. Beneath her radiant smile lies a complex soul craving freedom and escape. Raised in Arcadia Bay, Rachel struggles with the pressure of her family life, especially her controlling and secretive father, which fuels her deep desire to break free and find her own path.
Her love life is passionate but complicated. Rachel shares a special, intense bond with Chloe Price—full of trust, pain, and hope—that drives much of her story. She yearns for connection but is haunted by feelings of being trapped, which leads her to dream of running away and starting fresh somewhere new.
In our story we wil get into the questions we always wanted to know: Did Rachel love Chloe, why Frank, why Jefferson etc.
Rachel is both a dreamer and a fighter, and her choices ripple through the lives of those around her, especially Max and Chloe. Her story is one of identity, love, and the quest to be truly seen as she loves to act!
Unfortunally she died in the Life is Strange game by the hands of Nathan and Jefferson. I am following the events of our game but Chloe will meet her again! How? she died after all! Well you have to read the story! Give me PM if you're interested! Its really cool! and no it doesn't involve a rewind.
(To Chloe happy): “Hmm…hmm I am here!” Rachel said with a smile “Isn’t this place amazing?”
(To Chloe, soft sad voice ): "Chloe? Rachel asked smiling. Suddenly Rachel looked sad “Give my greetings to Max and Joyce"'
(To Chloe, laughing while they spray paint graffiti): "You are still hella mysterious, Chloe Price! It's missing something though!
This is an important supporting role with strong emotional depth. Lisa becomes a victim of the villain’s powers, and while we won’t spoil too much here, her role becomes key to the unfolding mystery—especially when Max and Chloe are forced to step in and save her.
Lisa is a kind-hearted woman in her early 30s, a devoted mother of two, happily married to Thomas. She met him in San Francisco, where they lived for a few years before finally escaping the suffocating city. Now, they’ve settled in the quiet town of Arcadia Bay. They relocated to Arcadia Bay just before the storm, drawn by it's quiet natural beauty and the reputation of a famous photography teacher at Blackwell. Raised in Colorado near Haven Springs, Lisa always preferred nature over city life.
By sheer luck or fate, she and her family were visiting relatives in San Francisco the day the storm hit, sparing their lives but leaving their new home in ruins. The tragedy of surviving while others didn’t weighs heavily on her.
After the storm, life becomes darker. The villain targets Lisa for her emotional sensitivity and open mind, but something goes wrong. She's not fully under his control, yet not fully herself either. Her mind begins to fracture, caught between reality and the villain’s manipulation. It’s a fate worse than death: the slow unraveling of her identity, and the creeping madness that follows.
This role offers room for expressive, emotional voice acting, especially during her breakdowns and the moments of clarity when she fights back.
To Max and Chloe, She clutches her head suddenly, gasping.) "You’re truly a good person, Max... I just... I’m so, so tired“Aghh—my head… the voices… the voices won’t stop…Kill… must Kill!” (Tears begin to streak down her face as her strength fades.) “Take care of her, Chloe… promise me! For me it's already too late! Get her out of here! Please! ”
(To Max, Chloe and David frightened, disoriented, yelling through tears) Where am I? Where am I? What are you doing—you're not taking me! Not to him!” (She begins crying out, her voice cracking with fear.) “DAD!! MOM!!!” (the power of the villain is creating an scary illuson thats why she is talking like this)
(to Max, happy): “You bought pirate clothes for my kids? Oh my god, Max, that’s amazing! I just know they’re gonna love that!”
Warren Graham is a kind, intelligent, and slightly awkward teenager with a big heart and a deep love for science, movies, and photography. He’s the classic "nice guy" Genuine, loyal, and always ready to help, especially when it comes to Max, who he clearly has a crush on.
Warren is passionate about science fiction, indie films, and experimenting in the lab. He’s curious about the world and often uses logic to make sense of the chaos around him, even when emotions run high. Warren is close friends with Max Caulfield. Though he’s not the most socially smooth, his loyalty and willingness to stand up for others, like when he confronted Nathan Prescott, make him someone people trust. Underneath his soft-spoken and dorky nature is a brave and caring soul, willing to risk a lot for the people he cares about.
The storm hit Warren hard and he lost his left leg.
Now in a wheelchair after his second surgery on the prosthetic, Warren isn’t allowed to walk yet. He hasn’t told Max everything, he and Chloe agreed it was best to wait and tell her in person. Max has been through so much already, and when she heard Warren’s voice over the phone, she was just overjoyed that he was alive. They feared the truth might break her, so they decided its better to tell her in person! To tell her that he is happy and alive!
(Warren to Chloe, worried about Max): You're sure? Shouldn't we tell her now? You know how Max is. She’ll blame herself
(Warren to Max, excited): Super max is back! he smiled gently at her. You know we never tried that movie? how about ape..ape...ape!
(Warren to Max serieus): So I did a little research and that dream definitely wasnt just a dream!
William Price retuns in this story however he isn't who Chloe thinks he is. When Chloe gets under the power of the villain she sees William again..but is it really her dad? or something much darker pretending to be him?
William Price is the late father of Chloe Price an amiable, kindhearted, and gentle man. In life, he was a loving husband of Joyce Price and devoted dad who found joy in small moments: backyard barbecues, laughter, and teaching Chloe and her best friend Max about photography. He is a kindhearted and gentle man.
This role requires emotional depth, subtlety, and the ability to convey both compassion and quiet menace as the story’s mystery unfolds.
Note:This is important of the ending! When casted you will get from me a small role as well so you can voice act a earlier bit too.
Voice Type: Warm, sincere, with a gentle fatherly tone. Capable of shifting to unsettling or ambiguous when needed. (To Chloe strong voice, high in volume) Quick we need to take another door! He is taken your mind over!
(To Chloe) gentle wam voice: Have you ever asked yourself what Max wanted? What you wanted?
(To Chloe strong voice, high in volume)Sometimes the truth… I mean, maybe the lies we tell each other are less terrible than the truths we keep hidden. Like with Rachel… (small pause) like with Max.”
(warm voice, to cCloe) Why are you crying sweetheart? warm voice. Another line you can try (warm and gentle to Chloe) Dont blow it! because tonight your mother promised to make us her world famous salmon surprise with chocolate cake for dessert
Mark Jefferson is a respected photography teacher at Blackwell Academy, charming, brilliant, and admired by his students. But behind his polished image hides a dark secret: he's a manipulative predator obsessed with capturing "Raw emotion/pure innocence" through disturbing photo sessions.
Once a rising star in the photography world, Jefferson's obsession twisted into a dangerous project. He drugged and photographed young women, believing unconscious subjects were the only way to reveal true vulnerability. With the help of Nathan Prescott, he lured victims like Rachel Amber, who he overdosed and killed. Cold, controlled, and terrifyingly calm, Jefferson sees himself as an artist, not a monster.
Though Jefferson is now imprisoned, this role focuses on a key flashback scene, an event that takes place before Life is Strange begins. It’s a turning point the moment his fate is sealed by forces far larger than he realizes. After accidentally running someone over, Jefferson is blackmailed with photos of the incident. A powerful man sees potential in Jefferson’s darker impulses the man theatens to expose Jefferson, risking his career and freedom.
Voice direction: Smooth, intellectual, emotionally restrained, charming.
(Jefferson capturing a model) "Yes, perfect. Move your left hand higher - just like that, hold it! (takes a shot) Beautiful. Now, slowly… let the sadness creep in, like you’re about to break. Hold it… Yes, exactly! Good. Now, from a different angle.
(man shows photos of Jefferson, running someone over, loading the body, taking photos, cracked affraid) W–Who are you? What do you mean… I took these? I don’t remember any of this!
(Jefferson angry to the unknown man) “I don’t have to explain my art to you! All my models are willingly! I don’t know what your implying…but I do my art my way. My way!"
Small role.
He is one of the few people who survived the storm. If you’re familiar with Life is Strange, you might recognize him. In the game, he’s known for distributing flyers protesting how the Prescott Foundation is harming local fishermen and the community. Now, standing across the street, he continues to protest, as the Prescott Foundation maintains a monopoly over harbor rights. During the events of the game he was at sea fishing.
Before you make a recording, I recommend watching this youtube link:
(sincere voice) I think i talked my quota for the year.
(skeptical, slightly angry, but grounded) Prescotts? Sure it seems they are helping the city..offering funds by partnering up to FEMA but have you wondered where they get the money for that? Harbor rights!
Chuck is a cryptozoologist who firmly believes Bigfoot is real. He leads tours for curious tourists and has even written a book on the subject. A kind and strong man, Chuck has earned the respect of many including Max and Warren, who went on one of his tours and had a wonderful time. He turns his tours into something truly exciting and entertaining! Even if you dont believe in Bigfoot its worthwhile.
This is a small but funny role!
Warm voice (his brother dressed up like an ape, jumped in front of you) : "Yeah, this one’s is fake however…” dead serious voice “These photos are real”
(Anxious) "Did you hear that? That wasn't the wind!"
