INTRODUCTION:
Good day!
I'm looking for a some voice actors for my Minecraft roleplay series, "Legend of the Hex" (LOTH).
I have been working on this series for about half a year now, and I feel it's time to bring it to life!
ABOUT:
Legend of the Hex is a fantasy Minecraft roleplay, which will be produced in a professional manner. The story focuses on the main character, Willow West, and her friends as they embark on a what soon proves to be the adventure of a lifetime. They live in a world where two main species dominate: humans and enchanteds. Enchanteds are similar to humans, aside from a pendant they each are born with. This pendant is known to grant each enchanted a special power or ability. In some kingdoms, humans and enchanteds live among each other peacefully, as friends, family, or even lovers. But in certain places, they live in hostility, conflict, and resentment towards the other species. Willow and her friends reside in the peaceful Kingdom of Dreagon, and have never imagined a world of the latter mentality-until now.
REQUIREMENTS:
If you have any trouble with any of these rules, please contact me and we can try to work something out. :)
1. You must be 13-years-old or older. Depending on the situation, some exceptions may be made for this rule.
2. You must have little to no background noise and have a good microphone. Background noise includes static, fans, loud air conditioners, people talking in the back, etc. (I recommend using Audacity!)
3. Please do not have a negative attitude. If you are accepted and have a problem with someone else on the team, please notify me and I will deal with it.
4. Turn your lines in on time, and label them accordingly if possible (it helps me out a lot in the editing process). If you have good reason to have the lines in late, then there will be no penalty.
5. You must have Discord. It's our go-to form of communication, and scripts, announcements, etc. will be shared via the LOTH Cast Discord server (which you will receive an invite for if you are accepted).
6. Please be able to/be comfortable with conveying emotion through your voice well! Some roles have certain emotions specified, but you will need to show emotion well through your voice for all lead and supporting roles! :)
AUDITIONING:
-(Optional) You may briefly introduce yourself before beginning!
-Please say each line three times, each time changing it a bit (ex. Putting emphasis on different words, going for different emotions, etc.), so I can see what you're capable of!
-Please put your Discord name/number with your audition, so I can let you know if you're cast! (ex. Rixila#8823)
PAYMENTS:
The ten lead/supporting roles listed are all paid! Protagonist/antagonist will receive $10 for voice acting in season one, and other lead/supporting roles will receive $5 for voice acting in season one. Payments are still being worked out, but will most likely be made through PayPal! As of now, voice actors will be payed once all lines have been recorded. (to be sure that no one quits after being paid) :)
CREDITS:
You will of course be given rightful credits for voicing any characters, or anything else you help out with! If you are accepted, I will verify with you how you would like to be credited (CastingCallClub, YouTube, Instagram, etc.)

KING/QUEEN: (Powerfully/Confident) “We are aware that our supplies haven’t exactly been imported to this kingdom at our normal rate lately.. But please, do not worry. As your royals, we are watching over this kingdom and getting supplies we need to help satisfy you all."
CIVILIAN: (Casually) “Did you hear about that fishing man this morning?”

Say something you think would fit
IMPORTANCE: Main character/protagonist
SPECIES: Enchanted
POWER: Unknown
VOICE: Mid-ranged. She usually has a calm/friendly tone, but you also need to be able to show quite a lot of emotion through your voice, especially since she is the main character.
PERSONALITY: Willow is a caring, friendly girl who tries to keep an optimistic outlook on things. She can be quite impacted by other's words, and can sometimes have a hard time controlling her emotions. She is introverted, and usually thinks best when left alone.
DIRECTOR'S NOTE: Please keep in mind that the story focuses on Willow, meaning she will have quite a lot of lines per episode! I will definitely be more lenient with this role (for time extensions on due dates for lines, etc.), but please do not take this role on if you don't think you can handle it!
(Tauntingly/Teasingly) “Oh! You know what she made last night?" (Pause) “Lasagna. With. Garlic bread.”
(Hesitant) “Are you guys, like, one hundred percent sure on this? We could get in serious trouble... And you know how Ruby is with me and trouble.”
(Sad/Thoughtful) “It’s hard to be around Enchanteds for me.. I’m just like them, but I’m not. I’m not a human, either, so I have no idea what category I can fit into. Sometimes, I feel like.. I don’t even belong here in Dreagon. Is that weird?”
IMPORTANCE: Main villain/antagonist
SPECIES: Human
VOICE: Preferably on the deeper side, possibly a bit gruff. His voice should be quite threatening and confident, yet also charming. Please be able to convey a wide range of emotion, namely anger, indifference, confidence, sadness, disdain, etc.
PERSONALITY: He is an evilly charming, cunning man with few morals. He is very confident, if a bit cocky, in his abilities and his power to get what he wants. He is sly, quick on his feet, and can get himself out of nearly any situation.
DIRECTOR'S NOTE: This character will not appear until a bit later in the season (around episode 10), but is nonetheless extremely important to the story, obviously! His name will be revealed further into the series, but it's a secret for now..
(Anger/Displeasure) “If you don’t do as I say, I will go the lengths I have to. Starting with your four-eyed freak over there.”
(Firm/Strict) “You’re saying there were new people down there? What exactly were their names? Tell me you got their names.”
(Bold/Confident in actions) “Of course I had to do it myself. That’s what it always ends up being. I don’t care, it turns out perfect in the end when I do things my way."
IMPORTANCE: Lead character
SPECIES: Enchanted
POWER: Mind reading
VOICE: A bit high-pitched, but nothing extreme. Please be able to convey a lot of emotion in your voice acting, as Brynn will most definitely have some emotional scenes. Be able to convey sadness, despair, resentment, determination, etc. (Brynn will eventually have a "breaking point," which will require emotion in her voice to convey the scene correctly.)
PERSONALITY: Brynn is a dorky chick who is quite smart in some subjects, especially the theater. She is an extremely sensitive person, but she is also very good at hiding her emotions. These two traits combined lead to her bottling up her emotions, and often not discussing how she truly is feeling.
(Explaining passionately) “Not true! This one’s called ‘Every person’, a play based off of the medieval times play called ‘Everyman’, which was made in 1495 A.C. It was a morality play, some of the main characters being Death, Everyman, and so on! It’s such a good play, I wish it was made into a musical though.”
(Reassuringly/Confidently) “Yeah! We’ve been friends for how many years now? We won’t let things hurt any of us.”
(Casually/Sarcastically) “Nah, I just wanna show off to people that I go to places they haven’t.. I’m kidding, yes I’m starting to collect things.”
IMPORTANCE: Lead character/Willow's best friend
SPECIES: Human
VOICE: Preferably a bit higher-pitched, with a fun, extroverted tone. Quinn often keeps things light-hearted, but you will also need to show a few other emotions (protectiveness, sympathy, understanding, anger, etc.)
PERSONALITY: Quinn is a social butterfly who talks to anyone and everyone. He can sometimes come off as rude due to his straightforward, blunt way of talking. He didn't have the best life growing up, but is grateful to be where he is now. He likes joking around and having fun, but can get very serious when things get out of hand or dangerous. Quinn is protective over his friends and would do nearly anything to keep them safe, especially Willow.
(Jokingly) “What’s wrong with golf? Would you rather have me bird watch?”
(Jokingly/Sarcastically) “The one night I wasn’t over?! How could she?!”
(Protectively/Shielding) “Look, we did no harm to you! Just let us go and we’ll be out of your hair, okay?”
IMPORTANCE: Lead character/Zena's best friend
SPECIES: Human
VOICE: Preferably a bit lower-pitched, but mid-ranged could work as well. Daniella should usually have a laid-back, unstirred tone. She will have a wide range of emotions, mainly jealousy, resentment, aggression, anger, and possibly devastation. There may also be a part where she's needed to "scream," so please keep that in mind. :)
PERSONALITY: Daniella is a hotheaded, indifferent girl who isn't afraid to voice her opinion. She becomes jealous easily, and often takes it out on others. Despite this, she has always been quite protective over her friends, mainly Zena. Her and Zena are a mischievous pair, and are rarely found following the rules.
DIRECTOR'S NOTE: Daniella will be more of a supporting character towards the beginning of the series, but will become a very important lead later on.
(Aggravated) “This better be good, I was dreaming of being able to fly. You know how real of a feeling that is?”
(Deadpanning) “That’s true, but who says PJs aren’t like, stealth material?”
(Retorting/Arguing) “Hey, I’m not wanting to start any conflict, Corey. Back off. And I came here since Zena did, I don’t want her to get hurt.”
IMPORTANCE: Supporting character
SPECIES: Human
VOICE: His voice should be low-ranged. His tone should be charming, but kind/friendly.
PERSONALITY: Corey is a very intelligent, clever guy who has a passion for reading. He is also charming, and can often get others to do what he wants. He rarely uses this to his advantage, though, for it isn't the kind of person he is. He's a trustworthy guy, and prefers to keep situations calm if possible, though he'll often leave it to others if things get out of hand.
(Worried) “You went to the border!? That’s highly dangerous!”
(Shocked) “What type of human eats pineapple on pizza!? We would never sell that! I can’t-” (Cuts off as he recognizes people)
(Upset/Arguing) “Stop bringing Willow into this. Your temper is so bad, Daniella. What’d we do to you all of a sudden? You’re just angry about not getting things your way.”
IMPORTANCE: Lead character
SPECIES: Enchanted
POWER: Ability to communicate with animals
VOICE: I'm not exactly sure what voice I want for Leo, so do what you think fits! His tone should usually be quite calm and collected.
PERSONALITY: Leo is a kind, considerate guy who has a strong connection to nature. He often disappears into the forest for hours, or even days, at a time. Leo rarely gets flustered over things, and is usually the peacemaker of the group, if one is required.
(Bewildered) “This thing was missing, I can promise you that. How’d it just.. Appear in there..?”
(Chuckling/Joking) “Being able to communicate with animals isn’t only a Snow White thing, Corey. If it was I’d be talking to some dwarfs right now.”
(Suspicious) “While I was here, I felt a like.. Really strange atmosphere. One of the animals said it had been lingering for a while.”
IMPORTANCE: Supporting character/Daniella's best friend
SPECIES: Human
VOICE: Mid-ranged, possibly a bit high-pitched? She should have a usually carefree, cheerful tone. She should also a slightly intimidating tone, with an underlying sense of self-consciousness. Please be able to convey quite a bit of emotion for this role, namely sadness and slight anger.
PERSONALITY: Zena is an extroverted, nosy girl with a great sense of humor. She has a bit of an issue with getting herself tangled up in other people's drama, but she usually has good intentions at heart. She tries to put on a confident, daring persona, but in reality is a pretty down to earth, caring girl. She has been influenced by Daniella over the years, and can often be found alongside her sneaking around and breaking rules.
(Sarcastic/Joking) “Please, Daniella would kill me before I could get a boyfriend. Enough talking out here though, I’m starving like a cannibalistic centaur on an island, let’s get inside.”
(Reassuring) “Don’t worry Willow, we’ll be okay. I’m pretty good at excuses, anyway.”
(Fearful/Worried) “Listen to me carefully, you don’t know what you’re trying to do.. this won’t lead to good things, I promise you.”
IMPORTANCE: Supporting character/Willow's aunt
SPECIES: Human
VOICE: She should have a mid-ranged voice, possibly a bit higher-pitched (but nothing extreme). She should have a kind, loving motherly tone.
PERSONALITY: Ruby is a mostly easy-going, kind lady who can become worrisome in some situations. She is Willow's guardian/aunt, and has lived together with her since Willow was just a baby. The two have a close bond, and act more like old friends than aunt and niece. Ruby is quite protective over Willow, especially in dangerous situations.
DIRECTOR'S NOTE: Ruby will become quite a bit more significant to the story later on in the series.
(Happily) “Hey kiddo! Just in time for dinner.”
(Motherly/Kind) “You’re right, it is pretty beautiful. But that doesn’t give you an excuse to stay out all night, okay? I want my little Willow tree to be okay!”
(Firmly) “You are not going out there. People have been vanishing in that forest for a reason. Dreagon has borders and limits to that forest for a reason.”
IMPORTANCE: Supporting character
SPECIES: Human
VOICE: Her voice should be a bit higher-pitched, but not extremely so, with a normally bubbly, upbeat tone.
PERSONALITY: Aspen is a positive-thinker who is very self-motivated. She is a quick learner, therefore being quite educated in a wide variety of subjects. Aspen enjoys reading, and owns a bookstore of her own! She helps the main group on their journey.
DIRECTOR'S NOTE: Aspen will have a small, yet very important, role in the series. She will only appear in a couple episodes at first, but may make a reappearance later on in the series.
(Welcoming/Casual) “Glad to know I’m not the only one then, haha! See, people from outside of Daveltry are so unique. Everyone here is incredible, too, but you already know everyone and their personalities, so it gets boring.”
(Thoughtful) “Huh.. can I see the book?”
(Kindly/Helpfully) “Girl, when you get to know me, you know that isn’t enough for me. I wanna help you.”
