Legacy Pilot Episode (A still image short story)
Project Overview
This is the pilot episode for Legacy, what I hope can become a unique series with a deep, dark story full of twists and turns like a maze at a funfair.
Premise
In the year 2140, the
Lazarus Tug class vessel: H.R Argyle drifted through the vastness of space,
slowly approaching its designated destination.
Carrying the proto-type MCVR- Device on board, it slowly began to loom over the
planet Asteria, an all but dead and abandoned planet. Marked as their prime
target to begin their experiments.
Lead by the 'heroic' Commander Red, the Argyle's crew work with the residents of dying planet "Asteria" to get the planet back onto it's feet. Being hurled into a world of intense combat, working to beat Bandit Overload king dubbed "The Minoterror" and restore order to the planet.
But will humanities
destructive tendencies allow it? Or maybe something darker may creep out of the
shadows?
How will work?
Ever played or watched Undertale or any Dynasty Warriors game? If you haven't I'd recommend checking how the dialogue works.
Characters on screen as a somewhat still image with text at the bottom. It'll be similar to that, only you could be voicing the character. Cool huh? Well, maybe.
We'll be using a few games to create the unique character models for this show, so maybe it touches the Machinima realm? Maybe not.
Good luck!

I have pushed the deadline back a little bit due to some characters not having any auditions yet as well as the team and I discussing casting as a whole. Thank you all for your auditions so far, they have been ace.
Captain Beadfel is the experienced Commanding officer of the Argyle. He is working in cooperation with Commander Red on a secret mission, carrying a prototype device aboard his beloved ship.
Good, begin making the correct preparations. (Calm, focused)
I assure you, I do not know how this happened.
The scans we made, it came back as I told you. (standing his ground, but a
little apologetic.)Red… I know this may pain you, but we are not a
rescue force. We have one tug, not a fleet. There is nothing we can do for
them. (Attempting to comfort him)
Whittwaker is one of Red's subordinates who was assigned to Red's section of the Defence corps the moment Red was promoted.
This soldier is very loyal to the Commander, often speaking how he is an inspiration. He would die for the Commander.
Bandit scum… (full of hate, then
turns soft when directing the question to Scarlett) are you ok citizen? You know what they say, the bigger they are, the harder they are to fall... Wait no, thats not it. (A little panicked)
Clock em in the dome, send em home... In a body bag - heh (comical)
a bunch of extra roles that are needed, thanks!
Pilot: Approaching the planet sir, monogramming the course now.
Scientist: Yes, as fantastic as all this is, we must press on (stubborn and arrogant.)
Soldier: I swear, one of these day’s he’s gonna help the
wrong person, n they will stab him in the back.
Commander Reds "other half" as she is dubbed. Sazabi is a machine that Red constructed himself to be his personal body guard. She ended up becoming his most trusted companion, mainly due to the fact that they are neurologically linked. If Red gets hurt, she will know about it, yes... If she get's hurt Red will know about it too.
This type of link makes them a very dangerous pair to fight off against because they essentially move as one.
While she may come across robotic, repeated exposure to Red's emotions and antics have helped her develop her own cheeky personality.
If you were looking for proof if machines do have souls, Sazabi would be the one to prove it.
If you want to get to the Commander? (chuckles) You'll have to get through me, before I run through you... (protective and a little angered)
I've tracked the beacon sir... (ushered in a poor attempt of a whisper)
Beginning termination protocol, wiping bandits out? This will be fun (Starts off very robotic, becomes a little excited at the end)
Through
its life, humanity had seen calamities on a global scale so wearily often it
became an accepted norm.
Natural disasters, war, strife among other incidents forced humanity to the
stars.
Years on they remained ever destructive, yet creative all in one.Something has changed, shaken up the game, a human
organization sends a heavily armoured ship into the stars, onboard – a
prototype device, it’s mission? To cure a dying planet, to bring life back to
it.Plasma shots
came hurling from behind Scarlett, as she ducked, she watched the hot substance
hit and burn its way through the flesh of each bandit, before the plummeted
lifelessly to the floor. (Dramatic)
