Land of the Lustrous: Episode 1 [FANDUB]
Project Overview
A millennia after humanity has vanished, a sentient race of Gem people have taken their place. Phosphophylite (named Phos for short) is the youngest, at only 300 years old. She is the softest of the Gem people, and is struggling to find her place in the world. Meanwhile, the Gem people as a whole are at war with the Lunarians, who seek to break apart their crystalline bodies and use them as jewelry and weapons.
Land of the Lustrous is a 12-episode CGI anime based on the manga of the same name. We will be dubbing the series into English, one episode at a time, and will be holding casting calls for new characters that appear in each episode.
Each episode has a runtime of 20 minutes, with lines varying in number.
VOICEWORK POLICY: Actors will have two weeks to turn in their lines after the day the script is given to them. Actors may ask for an extension of up to one week. After this period has lapsed (given no extenuating circumstances or emergencies) they will be replaced if a suitable reason is not given.
The following characters are up for casting for EPISODE 1. Anyone cast will retain their role throughout all episodes, unless they wish to step down.

Phosphophylite (Phos for short) is energetic, cheerful, and very childish. She is optimistic, and believes the world is a nice place. Her voice is spunky, fun, and very emotional. Although, as the series progresses, she becomes less and less optimistic in the state of the world. This character is a LEAD VOICE.

Cinnabar (Cinna) is lonely and sad. Her body continuously emits liquid mercury, making it dangerous for other Gems or animals to come near her. Her voice is dark, brooding, and easy to anger. However, she has a soft side and will not fight unless provoked and even then it's begrudging.
I belong in the night. It's... it's all I have left.
I don't want to fight... I don't want to fight...
My body is poison. Why do you insist on coming to this place?

Morganite has a fighting spirit and a can-do attitude, even if her plans go awry sometimes. Her voice is powerful and strong.
Stay here, 'kay Softie?
If it's small, let's fight it off ourselves!
They're using her as a weapon, huh?

Goshenite (Goshe) is a kind-hearted Gem with lots of patience. Her voice is sweet, but with an edge on it (she is a warrior, after all!)

Diamond is an elite fighter, although she has self-confidence issues when compared to her partner, Bort. Her voice is shy, gentle, and sweet.
Phos, are you okay? Do you need help with anything?

Red Beryl is a fashionista and in charge of clothing and fabrics at the Gem School. Her voice is bubbly and a little obnoxious.

Rutile is the medic of the Gems, able to put any Gem back together, no matter how shattered. Her voice is mature, calm, and professional.
Even if we break apart, we can always be put back together.
Tiny organisms called inclusions are what give us our sentience.

Euclase is extremely perceptive and is able to discern if someone is feeling down. Her voice is motherly and warm.

Jade is one of the hardest Gems, and a little full of herself. Her voice is slightly aggressive and always a little annoyed.
